With Science Hacks , you no longer need a PhD to understand the fascinating ideas behind science's greatest theories and discoveries. This latest addition to the ingenious new Hacks series will show you a technique for understanding and, crucially, remembering 100 of the most important and most interesting scientific theories from throughout the ages.
On each topic, you'll start with a helicopter overview of the subject, which will give you an introduction to the idea and some context surrounding it. Next, you'll zoom in on the core elements of the theory, with clear explanation of each point to make sure you really understand the concept before finally, you'll be given a one-liner hack to really make the theory stick in your mind.

An entertaining book for who wants to explore the world of science. It gives an overview of the most common scientific theories and hypotheses, throughout several scientific topics, like evolution, the atomic world and space
A timeline per category would be a nice addition to any new prints of the book, so you can easily form an overview of all discoveries
This book is definitely not for anyone with a science background!!! I stopped on 44 of the 100. I love me my BathRoom readers and will be picking it up again. I didn't even know some of these had names because all I heard was a general idea. And others I had no idea existed at all. This book is fun, "IF" you consider putting something like Darwin's Evolution theory in a single page! How about thermodynamics in ONE PAGE!! If you like your BR readers and have no general background in science than this might be the BR for you!
It's a nice, informative book. I would recommend it, especially to people with little knowledge of scientific theories, as it does a pretty good job of simplifying some of the most complex dilemmas. However, it does not include complete explanations. If you've never heard about a specific theory, you may need to look for extra information somewhere else: so I would not treat it like a manual to know everything, but rather a compilation of cool scientific "facts".
