I know I'm the author, so my review is a little bias. But, before I started writing this story I drafted a few key elements of what I would like a review to say for the final release and IMHO I've hit these marks.
-Engaging characters that draw you in -Realistic conversations -Just the right balance of conflict, action, and drama -A unique and original storyline -Appropriate use of cliffhangers -A quick and easy read that will leave you flipping pages well past bedtime
The Rogue's Fate is a very well written shifter book by Missy De Graff. I admit, my expectations with shifter books, especially werewolf books are usually low because there are so many books written about them, but this one was a pleasant surprise. The author found a new twist to add to her story that really gave it a breath of fresh air. The plot was well thought through and very well developed with some nice twists hidden within. There is a new element added, the "soothsayer" that allowed the author to add a different twist to the story taking it to the next step. The pace was perfect never rushing me through the story nor leaving me with a leaving that the story was dragging out, which to me is very important.
Lucinda is a very likable character. You can't help but feel for her situation. She is caught between a rock and a hard place and really doesn't understand the actions of Dylan but is determined to make the best of her life. She will stop at nothing to do what she feels is best for the ones she loves, even when those would leave her to fend for herself. She is extremely strong and grows throughout. Her friend Mia is a great friend to have and provides her with strength that she needs to make the decisions she feels she has to make.
Caidan oh poor Caidan. He is your typical Alpha werewolf who can't make sense of a situation and is driven hard by honor and what he thinks is the right thing to do. He does not understand the situation fully to no fault of his own though and tries to do what he thinks is right.
As I said, this is a very good werewolf book with lots of action and a heavy dose of romance. The book has a new twist on a often covered topic that takes it above your day to day shifter story. I for one have truly enjoyed this book and can highly recommend it to fellow lovers of the paranormal!
Voluntary review of Advance Reader Copy. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher
I enjoyed reading this story. The author created well developed characters with depth. I enjoy reading how the "Rogue" struggles to survive. And how the storyline drew me in on an emotional from the beginning. I could relate to her being an outsider and alone struggling to survive. I could also relate to her struggling as she learned to be a part of a group after being alone. I really appreciate how the author had a well rounded storyline with plenty of twists and turns.
Title: The Rogue’s Fate Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Missy De Graff Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre:#PRN #WolfShifter #4Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• Everything you can think of is in it Adventure, Survival, Fear, Jealousy, Betrayal, Suspense, Mystery, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Love. And this book has many twists and turns and more. Sakes alive there is so many unanswered questions..... Duh.... Next Book? Lucinda aka Lux or Cinda is a Wolf Shifter who is running from a psychotic wolf shifter. Running across this huge territory she hopes she'll be able to shake him off her tail. Then she runs into someone that she knows from the old days, someone that rejected her and everything started spiraling down in her life. Can this pack show her the love that she needs? Will it protect her and keep her safe? Caiden is a Wolf Shifter plus Alpha of the Blood Moone Pack. His territory as huge it has many little towns inside the territories it's unbelievable how many there are, this pack is enormous. Dylan is a Wolf Shifter and Beta of the Blood Moone Pack. He also likes to run after a bunch of tail. Dylan was so in love with his childhood friend because of excruciating circumstances he took off when he was supposed to stay. Felix is a Wolf Shifter Alpha to the Crescent Noir Pack. His greed turned him into a blood thristy killer. His love for a women that he followed left a trail of blood. Is that really love? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
A suspenseful and at times intense read Lucinda -She is a rogue - She just wants a home Caidan -He is the Alpha - Just - Caring -and a monster Dylan -the Beta - full of secrets - hidden past Felix -He is a Roque Alpha who will have Lucinda at all costs Together the four of them make up one dangerously suspenseful read I read this in one sitting so I have to admit it was an engaging read - Though I really felt so much was left unanswered - there were multiple events that occurred- but we never saw them fulfilled or even hints to how they ended or why they happened I also felt the end was a bit rushed and some of the final scenes took from the plotline instead of giving more texture to it. I did however greatly enjoy all the twists and turns - The story has a strong plotline and the world building is unique and enchanting I have a lot of questions with no answers so I am hoping there is a second book? hint hint This is available on Kindle Unlimited
Excellent read. Lucinda, Dylan, Caiden, Mia, Gavin. Sammy, Cody, Felix - strong characters, well developed. There are those you love like the strong female alpha Lucinda, and those you dislike like the psychotic Felix. The story was full of emotion, suspense, danger and romance. From page one I was engrossed in the story and could not put it down this the end... and what a surprises end it was. Can't wait for the next book to find out the fate of Felix and Cody. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book Exclusive ARC.
What happens when your fated mate rejects you, sells you and disappears. Lucinda is given to a monster who killed her pack and she escapes and finds Mis her friend. But that also puts her in the same pack as Dylan her fated mate. There are some surprises and some bad decisions made, Caiden the alpha of the Blood Moon Pack has agreed to let Lucinda stay. However, Caiden and Lucinda are the biggest surprise. I received a free book from Booksprout and the views and opinions are my own. I also purchased the book in Kindle Unlimited.
Fabulous read. Extremely entertaining and captivating read. I want to read more from this author. Wonderfully written with great plot and strong characters. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Exclusive Advance Reader Copy of this book set.
Omg i absolutely LOVED this story! It was the perfect combination of forbidden romance, angst, and action, while still keeping the story interesting. I loved the character development in this story, it makes the characters and the story itself seem so much more realistic. Seriously Can't wait to read more books by Missy De Graff!
I truly loved this story. The storyline had you wondering all through the story up to the end if Caiden was going to end up her mate or would Dylan claim her. I truly recommend this story as a quick read.
This book was full of surprises. Nothing was as it first seemed. When all the secrets came tumbling down i was left stunned. I was rooting for her and her best friend. Hoping they could work it out and continue on there love but sadly no future would await them so the way it worked out was the way it was meant to. I hope to read more from the author. Awesome job
True adventure romance. Great story of a phoenix rising from the flames, or an alpha rising from a pack tragedy. Loved the characters. And the plots was fairly straight forward. A couple loose ends, but all in all a quality read.
So, this is the first werewolf book I’ve read all the way through, and I found it intriguing. The story itself is fascinating with the pack relationships and hierarchy outlined well. Being a newcomer to the genre I found the idiosyncrasies harder to follow, not much back story line or development, I guess you’re just supposed to know this stuff. But overall I got it and enjoyed it. That said; I have to mention something that was disturbing. The overall grammar and spelling was substandard for a published novel, and often the dialogue slipped into something 7th graders would say rather than the adult situations being faced. I found the characters and the writing style immature. I’m glad it was a free book.
It is a really good story. It takes a while to get into it but when you do it is hard to put down. She is on the run from a psycho ex and he has problems of his own. But lets her stay when she comes to him. This is exciting, emotional, suspenseful and so much more. I was given a review copy by Inkitt and voluntarily review it.
A very common trope in paranormal fiction is the idea of the “fated mate”, where the two main characters are somehow preternaturally destined to be with one another. This is especially common in fiction involving werewolves or wolf shifters, playing on the idea that wolves tend to mate for life. Missy De Graff’s novel also uses this trope, but to a very interesting end. In this book, the two fated mates are not the Hero and Heroine of the story, but rather, the Heroine and her childhood sweetheart who also feels that they are fated mates, but who rejects her, leaving her to wander the world as part of a pack of rogues. Unfortunately for our intrepid Heroine, Lucinda, the Alpha of the rogue pack has decided to completely ignore the fact that Lucinda has a fated mate and wants to claim her for his own.
I have read shifter fiction numbering in the hundreds at this point and it is very easy for me to get bored with a story that basically re-tells the story of a hundred other shifter novels. This book did not leave me bored. Caiden, the Alpha of the pack in which Lucinda’s fated mate has become the Beta wolf, is a very honorable man who desperately tries to ignore the pull he feels towards Lucinda because he respects the mate bond. At times, that honorable nature wears a little thin, especially in the face of Dylan (Lucinda’s fated mate) rejecting Lucinda and their bond at every turn. And I don’t know about any of the other readers, but I really wanted to slap Sabrina across the face more than once and hope that she gets her comeuppance at least off stage. I very much enjoyed the characters and the mythology that Ms. De Graff has created and I look forward to other outings from her.
While there are some adult situations, nothing is terribly explicit so mature readers 16+ who have enjoyed previous shifter fiction would probably enjoy this novel.
This book is confusing. There are good parts, but there are also parts that read like a Wattpad novel.
Things I didn't like:
- the two main characters are supposed to be super-duper strong, but they were weak many times. Caiden is alpha of the Blood Moone pack, and almost the whole pack walks all over him. They do whatever they want without any consequences
- Lucinda is running after the mate, Dylan, who does not want her. He rejects her left and right, but she still pines for him. I can somewhat understand her confusion, as in one moment Dylan is outright mean to her, but in the other he is jealous of other wolves around her and does the growly "I'm your mate" stuff. This back and forth drags on for way too long. She's said to be a strong alpha, but all she cares for in the first half of the book is how to provoke Dylan into action
- Lucinda and Mia, her friend from Blood Moone pack, go shopping. Felix appears. Lucinda and Felix have shared past, and Lucinda fears him, rightfully so. Blood Moone shows up to protect the girls, and at the end they do nothing to stop Felix taking Lucinda with him
- in the second half of the book, Lucinda leaves Blood Moone pack to join the rouges of the Crescent Noir pack. She says Blood Moone doesn't want her right after Caiden asked her to stay
- at one point, Caiden is captured by Crescent Noir whose alpha, Felix, "promises" he'll leave Blood Moone alone if they let them take Caiden away, and they are like, Okay, it is for the better? I'm sorry... what?
- Lucinda is saying Felix is untrustworthy. Later, she's still surprised that he lies to her and wants to attack Blood Moone
- Caiden thinks matehood is sacred, but he doesn't let his packmate go out and find his mate when he feels her close because he needs him to help protect the pack
It felt like there's no loyalty in Blood Moone and everything was so repetitive. Lucinda is taken; they do nothing to stop it. They go home and admit that they maybe should do something. Same when Caiden is taken. Then Lucinda leaves on her own accord; Caiden is clearly pissed because, you know.. there's a bond between them and such, but they are still okay to let her leave and join the pack of an abusive alpha?? Felix is ready to shackle her to him; they are aware of this and still say stuff like, "Well, at least she'll be with someone who LOVES her." Felix literally hunted her down; she hates his guts, and they say stuff like this? Make it make sense
Although I love shifter romance, I don't think I can continue this

I absolutely love this story. From the moment you read the first page, you are sucked in till the last. I cannot wait to read more books by this author. This is a recommendation that I am happy to give to all my bookworm friends.
I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review. I wasn't too sure when I first started reading this book. It took til the middle for me to start really getting into it. The end of the book was really good til the last few pages. They ended the book very sweetly but lacked as much emotion as the rest. I would definitely read more from this author.
It held my attention throughout, but the big reveal doesn't happen until the last chapter. I hate that. I get that you want suspense, but it gets irritating when you drag it out so long.
Missy De Graff has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Lucinda and Caiden. Lucinda has been kicked out of her pack because her mate, Dylan has rejected her in front of her father, the alpha and his father, the beta of the pack. While on her own, she meets up with Felix and falls for him. But soon she realized he is not the person she thought he was so she runs from him. She heads to her friend Mia wanting her help. When she gets to Mia's pack territory, she knows the guard will find her. When that happens, she is asked her name. She tells the guard that she just wants to pass through their land. When he tells her that that is not allowed, she asked to speak to their alpha. The guard mindlinks with Caiden and tells him that he found a rogue wolf and that she wanted to speak to him. While they are walking to the packhouse, she smells Dylan, her mate. She is not happy about this. When Caiden meets Lucinda, they talk and then go for a run. She needed it after seeing Dylan with Sabrina. Dylan is hot and cold toward Lucindia. When they get back to the pack house, she smells Mia and is happy to see her. Things happen and Mia said that they were going shopping the next day. The next day while Lucindia and Mia are out, Lucindia gets the mindlink from Cody, her friend. He is telling her to get out of there now. It is to late and Felix has caught her. Caiden gets a feeling something is wrong with Mia. He and Dylan head toward them and get to them when Felix tells Lucinda that she is going with him. She tells him that she is not going with him. This caused problems and Lucinda knows that she can't stay with the pack now. Felix will attack Caiden's pack and kill them all. Caiden tells Dylan to take Lucinda back to the packhouse. When Caiden gets back to the house he is told by Lucinda that Felix will attack his pack. They need to come up with a plan to keep the pack safe. Something happens and she starts to have feelings for Caiden but she is confused since Dylan is her mate. Felix somehow gets to Lucinda and takes her. Dylan is told by Caiden to go after her. She escapes Felix after she was hurt by him and when Dylan finds her, she can't walk by herself. When she is able, she tells Caiden that Felix will attack them to get to her. She tells him what needs to be done. Things happen and Caiden goes for a run but Felix catches him. Caiden knows that if he shifts, things will not go well for anyone around him. Lucinda goes after Caiden and when she sees him shift and going after Dylan, she gets in between them. Caiden hurts her and when he sees it is her, he shifts back to his human form. Felix attacks again and this time, he tells Lucinda that if she goes with him, he would leave Caiden's pack alone. She knows this is the only way to save the pack. She hears Felix talking to one of his guards and heard him say something about Caiden. When she confronts Felix, he tells her what is going to happen. She tells him that she is going to kill him. After the attack and Felix and his pack leave, she sees Caiden with Sabrina and knows that she doesn't belong there so she decides to leave. Caiden comes to her room and when he sees her packing, he tells her that she can't leave. She tells him that she is not part of his pack and he has no control over her. Will Caiden get Lucinda to stay with him or will she leave? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Overall a pretty decent read. A few editing and mispelling issues but nothing major. Very slow burn, like super slow. If you are looking for spice and sexy smutty scenes, you won't get it in this book. Not to say I didn't mind the buildup of a connection and relationship, but I expected a bit more in the romance department. I liked the plot and storyline. I really liked that lucinda was a strong alpha female in her own right and could take care of herself. The secret keeping and lack of communication in the beginning made me annoyed with her, like you went to them for help and said it's life and death, and you needed to find your friend and warn her and tell her things, and then once the many opportunities came to do so, she all of a sudden didn't want to talk about it, and kept deflecting and acting like nothing was wrong knowing she was putting them in danger and at the least they should be aware so the can protect her and themselves. At first I didn't like Dylan because of their history and his actions past and present, but it felt like something else was going on so I wasn't surprised too much by his revelation. I kind of felt bad for him and was hoping it would become a why choose menage romance so she could have both Dylan and Caiden. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like its going thatvway so if she cant have him too, i guess i hope he finds his real mate and his hea. But still holding out hope she can have them both. I'm puzzled by Cody, and his role. He's been a friend to Lucy warning her and helping her but stayed with Felix and did his bidding. I'm not sure if he had plans behind the scenes and was biding his time or what his deal is. I'm also wondering if he's the long lost brother the witch spoke of. Hopefully Sierra and her lackeys face consequences for their behind the scenes backstabbing and plotting. And Caiden and Cinda both being strong Alphas can get the pack back on their side and strong for whatever is coming. They're were a few questions I still had that I'm assuming will hopefully be answered with loose ends wrapped up in the next book since it ended on a cliffhanger. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is my first work by Missy De Graff, and I am by no means disappointed. I was hooked from the very beginning. Heck, I DEVOURED this book in a single day. It was that good. It just kept on getting better and better. I was so invested in the book someone had to remind me that I needed to eat some food. It was quite hard to put it down, especially once things started coming together and picking up.
While I loved getting to know all the characters and figuring out their dynamics, I was incredibly frustrated with the trio that is Dylan, Caiden, and Lucinda. Lordy, I had a ride with these three while trying to figure out exactly what was happening. Not to mention that freaking curse. My friends can vouch when I say that I did not complain but full-on RANTED about the freaking curse. Since it was first mentioned, I spent most of my energy figuring out what it was. I had my suspicions, but I was not entirely convinced of any of them, which I think shows how good Missy De Graff is when it comes to intriguing and captivating one’s audience. I really have to bow down to our amazing author for that because it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been that frustrated and stumped in regards to figuring out a curse/mystery in a book. In lieu of it being a spoiler, I will not reveal WHAT it is, but my reaction to finding out: a facepalm. When discovering the details of said curse, I gave myself one of the biggest facepalms in history.
Anyway… I’m going to move on before I get worked up again. All in all, I will definitely be recommending this book. I already started and even got a friend to add it to her TBR while I was actively going through it. I will anxiously and excitedly look forward to reading the sequel because I simply HAVE to know what happens next with everyone. Looking forward to seeing what others think of it!

Well this was an extremely fast paced, storyline full of intricate designs of family history, a witch with magical spells that causes fear and drama throughout the territory and the last chance of a fated mates couple trying to keep away from each other. Missy de Graff has designed the perfect situation which includes a fated mate pair who have been cursed by a witch, but it takes time before they realise how badly her designs of the spell were to effect each of them individually. Lucinda and Dylan believe they are a fated couple yet we find that Dylan rejects his mate so Lucinda spends many years trying to sort out her life away from him. Finally arriving at her friends pack Lucinda finds herself drawn to their alpha, but why?? He is not her fated mate All these characters have been bound by a spell given from a witch little do they know she has been changing what fate decrees so their lives end up rather confusing, as they attempt to sort out what is real and what’s been created by the witches spell. Actually this tale gives perfect example of how badly someone can be effected by a mates bond even if they don’t want the person designed for them. It becomes very emotional in many parts as Lucinda Caiden and Dylan try to work out everything that has been happening since the three of them became part of the same pack. If you enjoy paranormal romance and try to work out all the twists within the tale then you’re going to love this especially with the unexpected twist at the end of the book.
The Rogue's Fate is another fantastic story about Pack life. The story has a little of everything to keep you engaged, such as action, suspense, and characters that you like and want to see get their happily ever after. Lucinda considers herself a rogue, but she never comes off as one. Her lifestyle is not her choice. Caiden and Dylan are both strong alpha males, and both love her immensely., and she loves them. Fate and curses have driven them their entire lives. Their very intertwined lives make for much drama, some intense battles, a lot of unrequited passion, and finally, just love.
There is an intensely evil wolf in Felix, who I really wanted to see destroyed, and an unknown in Cody, who seemed to care for Lucinda genuinely. There is more to Cody. My only complaint is that his character was abandoned in the end, making the story feel a bit incomplete. Perhaps another book is in the works that get into him, the witch, and the bats that liked to hang out. Overall a very engaging and entertaining book. I do hope Rogue's Fate is the start of a series. There is room for more tales with this Pack.

Une romance Fantasy très mystérieuse, avec de l’action et des imprévus, et plutôt agréable à lire. A découvrir pour les amateurs du genre.
Considering DNF’ing at 56% This book often makes me wonder what is going on, and not in a good way. The book is not well-edited - for example, the author used the word ‘whelp’ (meaning “offspring, or to give birth to offspring”) when she meant to say “yelp” (meaning “to shout”). Plus small grammar errors that break immersion and should have been picked up in editing.
I could get past these things (it’s werewolf romance, the bar is not high) however there are two personal reasons that have me leaning towards DNF:
1) I read a self-review (written by the author of this book), which gave me the ick.
2) Pet peeve trope usage. The pack are losing faith in the alpha, but they need to be unified to defeat the bad guy. The current solution proposed by the MC’s? Have a cook out/barbecue and have the alpha fake date the FMC. Seriously. The bad guy is a murderous psycho intent on either claiming the FMC or killing her (it’s not clear at this point, but I feel like it should be - why don’t I know the stakes for what happens if the MC’s fail by halfway through the book?). The “throw a party to save the world” trope in fantasy novels makes me want to take a cheese grater to my forehead.
Despite all that, against my better judgement, I am still invested in what is going on with these characters and might soldier on to see what happens to them.
I received this book as an ARC for my honest opinion and my honest opinion is I really liked this book it was a good story with a good storyline. Lucinda is an alpha female wolf shifter who was kicked out of her pack when her fated mate denied her. Lucinda is now a rogue wolf on the run from a psychopath wolf named Felix who is hell bent on making her his mate even though she doesn’t want him when she crosses path with her fated mate Dylan and the Alpha of the Blood Moone pack Caiden. When she first sees Dylan again she is drawn to him but as she starts spending time with Caiden things start to change and secrets starts to come out. In this love triangle will Lucinda end up with the Alpha Caiden who is slowly loosing control of his wolf, her fated mate Dylan who rejected her but won’t tell her why, or will she end up with the psychotic Felix who just won’t take no for an answer. I recommend that you you go get The Rogue’s Fate to see what happens.
