Baby Boomers who feel overwhelmed trying to decide where to live will appreciate the information found in this book. Should you stay in your home and age in place by making modifications? Or should you move toa different location and enjoy better weather, lower cost-of-living, etc.? Should you build a new home that meets your long-term needs? How do you decide what's best for your situation? And what if that situation changes later on? Are you a planner or a procrastinator?
Found this book for free on Amazon; this is my honest review. -Author comes from the U.S.A.; I'm from Canada. Therefore there are a few things/companies or services that are not available here. Doesn't matter. -You can tell she did her research on all the kinds of dwellings accessible to older people such as condos, communities, etc. She goes through them one by one, listing the pros and cons, questions to ask, etc. -The second part is about decluttering. Decluttering the old place to move into a new place or decluttering because you're empty nesters now or because if you're not selling but aging in place like it's called, you'll need space to get a larger hall or doors (for maybe, hopefully not, a wheelchair). -There are estate selling, donate, sell online, etc. All good ideas. -I will have to read it again once we arrive at the stage where we're ready to move out (in about 2 years) so in the meantime it gives us the opportunity to declutter the place at our own pace.
