The Great Betrayal
The final battle approaches. Preparations must be made. None will be ready for what is to come.
Only a few of the Magi understand the truth of what comes and that they must fight, but will those few be enough? Roelle heads north, intending to face the groeliin, and finds herself drawn toward another task. Isandra must somehow help the groeliin, but can she help all of them? If not, they’ll be used in Raime’s plan, yet if she can save them, the tide of war might finally shift in their favor.
Jakob decides that to defeat Raime he must understand him. This requires that he once more walk along the fibers in what might be the most difficult test of his ability, one that shows him not only Raime, but also a part of his past he never imagined. As he does, he learns of a secret Raime has hidden that might be the key to finally stopping him. If he fails, Raime will succeed, and an ancient betrayal will be the reason.

So I am torn, over all this series was good! Even if at points there was way to many character arcs that had zero to with the overall story... Seriously what was the point of the entire Allay, Locken story lines turned out to be a complete waste of time reading... Along with the conclave members, just so many things that were involved with no real impact on the story overall... I don’t know I genuinely enjoyed the overall story and the idea of it just to be let down with side characters that were completely useless and served no point to the overall story, it should have stayed focused on Roelle and Jakob... On top of that Jakobs ended just kind of ended there was zero closure to it! I don’t know I was very disappointed in this book it felt rushed at the end...

With all that was going down in the previous book, there were many options the title could've hinted at. I've considered maybe four major options - and was not surprised it was neither of them, though one was somewhat close. It's hard to say anything about it without spoilers.
If there's something I had to appreciate about this series as a whole, it's the measure of the secrets each character has and the hints from the past that gives the story some depth but not enough to be frustrating. Though, as I know, individual experience may differ.

Fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series.
I had trouble putting it down after reading the other books in this series. I was totally unprepared for the twists and turns the plot made. I wasn't disappointed in the least, I am eagerly waiting for the next book to continue with this world and characters.
I would recommend this series to any fan of fantasy fiction thats well done.

Fantasy sci fi at its best
Have to thank Amazon for recommending this series. I have devoured all eight books, eagerly looking forward to the next, but with a tinge of regret, knowing that its one closer to the end. Totaly engrossed in the story from start to finish. Would of loved to have seen a little more, as to what the main characters, got up too, afterwards. That a side , belting good read. 10/10.

The Whole Eight Books
Not often I can start with Book One in a series and stay interested to the last page in Book Eight in that series. However, Holmberg has made such an easy transition in characters, story line, good guys and bad guys, good monsters and bad monsters and good powers and evil powers from book to book you finish a book and are more than ready to pick up the next one. Recommend.

Loved this series
I have loved reading this series, as well as the endric trilogy. This series has mage but not as you've read about before.
The characters are well thought out and the story transports you to a new world, that is a pleasure to explore. 10/10.
I look forward to more from this author.

This was a great series. For the last book I thought it would have ended better than it did, with more detail of what happened. But a good ending for a great series. Since the series finally ended, I will give it a couple of months and read all 8 books back to back. You will not be disappointed in this series. Great Reading Everyone!

That’s was so good!
The Lost Prophecy was so good. I hate that it’s over but at least I have more to read. All of the books in this series are good. Plenty of fighting, magic and a great plot. Be sure to read the others by DK Holmberg if you haven’t already. The Dark Ability, The Shadow Accords, and The Sighted Assassin. They are all good reads.

Read all of D K Holmberg's books!
I haven't quite read them all...there are a few I haven't bought yet...but there isn't a single one I wouldn't read again. He writes characters and stories that grab you, and keep you in a book until the last story of a series is done. If you pick up one series, I promise you that you will want to read the rest!!!!

Extraordinary
All I can say is marvelous. An exciting and twisting plot. The characters were engaging, I was totally involved in this series, and now the difficulty is which one of this authors series shall I read now? Thank you for the enjoyment of reading this series.

What an amazing adventure! This series of books is not just about one main character but many. They all come together in this last book and a surprise in the final battle. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Great read
When I started reading this author , I noticed a lack of strong female characters. This series has both strong men and women. Very well written and brings characters from previous series and lets you see how they have finished their journeys.

Another wonderful series by D.K. Holmberg. I loved all the different types of beings with different kinds of magic. The characters are wonderful and the world building is amazing.

A fantastic end to an exciting series
This has been an amazing series, full of fascinating characters and titillating conflict. Jacob's growth and understanding culminate in an epic battle of good vs evil, and it's an exciting ride.

Happy to have finally reached the end of this journey. I loved how the author showed the development of Jacob’s abilities, as well as the other main characters. I think that the ending was tied up a little too neatly and there was no follow up to what became of Jostephon.

Will have to admit excellent way Holmberg brought all of them together in the final battle and how it was finally ended. Holmberg has proven that is a great story teller and is worthy to have his books read. If you love Fantasy Fiction the way for which I do you'll like this series.

Never Disapointed
I have read most of D. K Holmbergs’ Series and this one is good as they get. Hard to put down even if you have other things to do.

Great series
