"The power of the Holy Spirit makes us as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1). We roar as of the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and why not? We are sons and daughters of God! When the Holy Spirit came upon the believers, it gave them more than the power to work miracles, signs and wonders. It also toughened them up for the challenges of the times and the persecutions they would face. With the coming of the Holy Spirit, the apostles discovered a new resilience, a new strength within them and a power that operated in their weakness, sending them out into a brutalized, pagan world to demolish its idol establishment and change history. That is the true mark of "the Spirit-filled life." (Reinhard Bonnke, Holy Spirit: Are We Flammable or Fireproof?)

Anyone who knows Reinhard Bonnke's ministry knows that he emphasizes the Holy Spirit in his preaching and teaching. Often, he will get his audience to pray in the Spirit (speak in other tongues).
This book teaches on the Person of the Holy Spirit - The third Person of the Trinity. That He is our comforter (paraclete), which implies "someone walking by your side" and that He is our Helper which suggests "someone readily available to give assistance when necessary." He explains that Jesus was our first great Helper, Companion and Comforter. Then Jesus sent us another Helper, the Holy Spirit, that came on the Day of Pentecost. The good news is that we can receive this Great Gift of the Holy Spirit!

Jesus said,

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:11-13, NIV)

Ask God for the Holy Spirit and you will receive Him.

Reinhard Bonnke explains that the Holy Spirit was given to the believer to empower them to be Christ's witness with signs and wonders following confirming the Gospel.

At the end of this book Bonnke walks a person through receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The prayer included in this book is as follows:

"And now, dear Lord Jesus, let happen to me what happened to the 120 disciples when they were filled with the Holy Spirit. As I read in Mark 16:20 (KJV): "And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen" I will not wait, but humbly embrace Your empowerment, direction and correction. Thank you for your anointing. Let my mortal lips preach the eternal Gospel, and my mortal hands build your eternal Kingdom - to the glory of the Father. May all the world be saved. In Jesus' Name."

This book has greatly inspired me. Reinhard was an amazing preacher and speaker and for years the Holy Spirit fell during his sermons. I love how this book points out that God is always there with us, that the Holy Spirit is not just for a certain time, but for all time, lives in us. We simply have to ask and have faith. No begging, no pleading, simply ask. It starts with a heart and body and a mind and a soul cleanse by the blood of Jesus for our sins and the Holy Spirit will dwell inside that vessel, and out of that vessel will flow rivers of living water, that never stop. Just like a river, that never stops flowing. This is what was separate people from their past life, from struggling with every day, anxieties and worries. I recommend reading this book and opening up your heart to what the Lord wants to say to you. I’m expecting God to do big and powerful things not because of me but because of him and him flowing through me, like that river. I want to be flammable, I want to light up in the fire of the Holy Ghost.

I have just read one of the best books ( depart from the Holy Bible) that explained Who the Holy Spirit is. You can sense that the words and sentences from Reinhard Bonnke are alive and are comes from his heart. I honestly was stunned by this book. The sentences were flamming in my heart, and on more than several occasion, I just went back to the chapter and reread it.
I want you to read this book and let your heart get fired for God. Reinhard Bonnke got my promise right from the first page of the book. He brought to us his 53 years of ministry – of course, it won’t fit in such a small book as this, but Reinhard brought you a snapshot of the heart of his ministry – the Holy Spirit. He looked to her wife, Anni and said, ” When I look on your face, I see the rising sun.” Indeed, you need highlighters to mark what blesses you as your read his book.
” Are we flammable or fireproof?” table of contents has nine sections and two parts in the end. Here are some of my highlights :
” Prayer is not helping God; it is helping us partner with God, surrendering to Him and allowing Him to take His place as Lord of our lives -Deliverer and Savior.” pge31
“Surrender- your tongue, your body, your mind, your will and even your eyes-and people will see Him in you.”pge35
” Jesus lives in your heart, and sometimes He likes to look out of the windows.” pge 35
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is NOT a private matter! It is a public event! Glory to God.” pge37
“He puts His arms around us and baptises in the liquid fire of the Holy Spirit.” pge 43
“Oh, What a Passion!” pge 46
“Don’t disqualify yourself when you already accepted.” pge58
“No, God has no favourites.” pge58
” There were 120 people in the upper room.” pge59
“a group of 120 of them became the first spirit-filled people on earth.” pge50
” The gifts of the Spirit operate by faith in God, not faith in the specific theory.”pge 106
” The Holy Spirit abides, He has come to stay” pge138
” God wants your life to be a place of comfort, joy, peace and happiness.” pge 139
” We are bushes that burn with the Glory of God and the fire of the Holy Spirit.”pge 144
” A prayer room is a powerhouse of the Spirit.” pge 144
My friend, I challenge you to read this book from Reinhard Bonnke, not only know who and what the Holy Spirit can do but to learn to be flammable for God, not fireproof. The Holy Spirit is not only the power; instead, He is a person – the third person of the Trinity. Take the book and learn what God stored for you.

One star, waste of money abd time

Full of things we already know. Easy said than done advices, hollowing revelations, basically for people who can't understand bible. There are many better books out there, bible for example. One star at most, waste of money.

Des rappels importants ❗️

« Christianity is either supernatural or nothing at all. »
« The Gospel is the only gun which brings a dead man back to life when shot. » 💥

« The Kingdom of God has come, and we hold the keys to it. We may look ordinary, innocuous or inconsequential, but make no mistake, we are full of power-the power of the Holy Spirit-and we are vital to God's redemptive plan. Our tongues have the power to impact destinies and change the course of events, and in our hands, we carry the healing balm of Gilead. » 🔥

« When the Lord thought of you and me, He had something in mind other than slaves-sons, not trams. »
« We don't need to perform, just receive. » ❤️‍🔥

« If we could make ourselves so good that we deserved the Holy Spirit, we would not need Him. » ‼️

« When you are swimming, you are in another element, and a new law operates. You must let go and rest fully upon the waters of the river. Those waters carry you. »…👀
« His mind is too fertile and too creative for repetitive work. » 💥

« Fish has the same temperature as the water in which it swims, and some Christians are just like that. They have the temperature of godless entertainment and wonder what is wrong. » 🤯

« Many people pray, "Use me Lord," but that is the wrong way round. Rather, pray, "Lord, make me useable." His fire makes us useable. The useable He uses automatically! Hallelujah. » 🗯️

3,5/5 ⭐️ (il y avait pas de vraies révélations, c’était simplement des rappels)

Reinhard Bonnke was a hugely impactful evangelist and an inspirational mentor figure to me through his sermons, lectures, and Facebook posts. He had a way of explaining things so simply and clearly that was clearly a gift from God, which was used to save millions across Africa. I thoroughly enjoy all his writings, and this one book about the Holy Spirit is just as simple and clear as all his other works. Backed up by Scripture constantly, it provides a clear instructional and experiential guide to receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit for believers. Highly recommended for all followers of Christ to read.

Refreshing with life changing perspective.

Thank you, Reinhard, for your faithfulness to The Kingdom, bringing tens of millions of souls to Christ. Thank you for giving Christ the glory, taking none for yourself, and then teaching/ reminding us that we have the power of the Holy Spirit in us today to accomplish what He set out for us to do. No more pleading for the spirit to come. He has been and is here, living inside each one of God's children.

I really enjoy how this book is written. It is easy to navigate and relatable. There isn't massive words written in Christianese you have to interpret constantly. It flows and makes sense to a lay-person just wanting to understand and grow. I recommend this book to beginners, intermediates and anyone wanting to understand more about Holy Spirit, Faith and what it all means. As an added bonus the sections are short so its easy to devour one part and ponder on it before you add to the concept.

I was recommended this book and had liked other talks by the author. But I was confused by the book. It didn’t seem to have any flow but was just a collection of a ton of short paragraphs. Unfortunately I didn’t gain much from it.

This is a fairly brief but power-packed compilation of substantive life lessons learned from the world's preeminent Evangelist to Africa—as well as the world at large—Reinhard Bonnke. This collection of writings comes from a man who has overseen more than 75 million recorded decisions for Jesus Christ and speaks from over 50 years of ministry experience. This book has the power to change lives—that is, if those who read it are willing to receive the truths contained within it.

As always, Bonnke does not point us so much to his own opinions, insights and anecdotes, but to the life-changing truths found in the pages of our most precious and invaluable resource for gaining both spiritual and practical wisdom and knowledge, not to mention eternal life—the Holy Bible. Evangelist Bonnke focuses on the incredible and supernatural power of God available to us through the third member of the Godhead—the Holy Spirit—clearly demonstrating from Scripture some of the most profound examples of how the early church was equipped and anointed in a new way to become God's co-workers in Christ.

Namely, specific attention is devoted to the New Testament book known as The Acts of the Apostles, where we read in Chapter 2 about how 120 disciples of the Lord were supernaturally empowered with God’s own Spirit and the gift of (among other ones) speaking in tongues. This was the moment when Christ's disciples received the Holy Spirit, which Jesus refers to as "the Helper" (John 14:26; 16:7) and "the Spirit of Truth" (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13). Bonnke rightly emphasizes the colossal importance of this singular and monumental event by highlighting the undeniable reality that the world was forever changed from that point on. In short, the Church Age had officially begun during those pivotal moments in Jerusalem roughly 2,000 years ago. True believers in Jesus Christ were baptized in the Holy Spirit, just like Jesus promised would happen after His ascension to heaven, and they were henceforth equipped with new spiritual gifts and abilities to perform deeds even more miraculous than those which they did during the Lord's time on earth—deeds which were virtually unheard of to those living in Old Testament times.

Like all Reinhard's books, this is an easy-to-read yet fascinating book that I would definitely recommend to any truly devoted follower of Jesus Christ. It’s not so much the style of writing that makes this a good read, but the life-changing truths behind the words. "Holy Spirit: Are We Flammable or Fireproof" will help you get to know your Creator better and assist you in learning and realizing how to operate more effectively in His life, love and power. The Holy Spirit is not a “thing”; the Holy Spirit is a person! And He wants you to experience His amazing power and be moved in a way you've never before thought possible. Find a copy of this book and read it today!

Shalom,

JJK
