Monday: Sweet Romance

Rate this book
Sweet and Monday by Lily Rose is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author E. L. Todd's steamy contemporary romance novel Monday. This story is the same as the contemporary romance and conveys all the passion of the original book without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

I don’t believe in destiny.

In fate.

Or in soul mates.

But I believe in Hawke.

My life has never been whole since my parents left forever. I have my brother, someone I can barely tolerate most of the time, and I have my best friend, Marie.

And I have myself.

But when Hawke walks into my life, there’s an immediate connection. Our eyes lock and an unspoken conversation is exchanged. For the first time in my life, I actually feel something.

But he doesn’t.

He keeps me at arm’s length and pretends there’s nothing between us when there clearly is. I’m not the kind of girl to wait around for any guy, so I don’t.

But that doesn’t mean he isn’t in the back of my mind.

Our paths cross again in a way neither one of us expect and it changes everything. Was it destiny that made it happen? Was it fate?

Or was it something else?

Lily Rose enjoys world building and creating characters for these unusual worlds. It was a lot of fun creating misfit monsters, and is looking forward to writing more of their adventures.

Review: Monday: Sweet Romance (Sweet and Timeless Book 1) by Lily Rose

Here is a summary of what the book is about. Sweet and Timeless: Monday by Lily Rose is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author E. L. Todd's steamy contemporary romance novel Monday. This story is the same as the contemporary romance and conveys all the passion of the original book without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

I don’t believe in destiny.

I found this story to be very interesting. It was a sweet one.

I thought it was written very well. It kept my interest.

If you want a clean sweet romance then I suggest you pick up a copy of this book and read it.

I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Happy Reading Everyone!

Intriguing!

A difficult book to read of two people destined to be together both of whom had hard lives which effected them both and shaped their characters. Francesca list her mother to cancer followed by her father two weeks later who couldn't live without his wife that he shot himself - this had a serious effect on Francessca and her brother Axel - their grandmother takes them under her wing and brings them up but Alex feels he has to take over from his father and look out for Francesca away fro their grandparents.
Hawke is a friend of Alex with a reputation of loving and leaving girls and not getting emotionally involved with any one . One day he goes to The Grind a coffee shop where he meets two waitresses Marie and Franke (Francessca) he glances Marie but his eye is on Franke - Franke and Hawke have an immediate connection and gradually get together but with the hinderance of his upbringing shaping his feelings!! His father a brutal drunk who constantly took his anger out on Hawke when he was younger and defenceless before transferring his British behaviour on his wife but his mother would phone Hawke to stop his father ...but she wouldn't leave him.
Francessca got Hawke and gradually they became a couple but the ending of the book left francessca broken as Hawke moved to New York to work away from his parents. What happens now? It's a cliffhanger if ever there was one.

My heart breaks

I give 5 stars because.... ugh do you hear that? The sound of my heart breaking.. Enough said, I need to get my hands on Tuesday and Wednesday quickly!

But I need to know if Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the same characters, Hawke and Francesca? I don't want to read the samples because I'd cry off elsewhere. In what book will they have an ending? Sighs..

This is precisely why I don't like a continuous stories in a series book. Especially one as good as this book. Because my heart be breaking and I had no means to know more about it so I just twist and turns, thinking about what, how, and why?

This book made me so mad, I was literally seeing red. Maybe its just me, but I hate cheating and not that there is any cheating I just really hate the ending to this book and the beginning of the second book. As soon as he leaves her he goes right back to his old life style. It makes my heart hurt to know that the love she gave him practically ment nothing in the grand scheme of things. It might not be cheating to everyone but I would have never taken him back after he threw her love in her face.

When I downloaded this book, I didn't really know that much about it. I read this book in 3 days because it was so good. I loved the characters and the story line. When it ended with Hawk leaving, I couldn't wait to move on to the next book. This book is one of those that you feel like you are in the story as you read it. I flinched at certain parts of the story and cried at others. This is one book that I will recommend to everyone.

Not worth your time

This book was a waste of time. It was very predictable and the characters weren't well developed. The book had no ending- it just stopped and if you want to find out what happens you have to buy the next book.

A dramatic tale of two young, damaged minds who demonstrate their love in very different manners, perhaps ending on a positive note with an unbelievably possessive connection!

Great Story But Disappointed

I was looking for a feel-good story, sort of like the cover. I was disappointed. The roller coaster was fun though.
