After she is caught with forbidden literature, twenty-year-old Caroline Chatterton is arrested and brought before Earth's corrupt, tyrannical High Council, but she is saved from a harsh sentence when Commander Andrew Rossingham of Taar-Breck claims her as his bride based on the terms of an agreement made years ago by her grandfather.
Before she kneels at Andrew's feet to speak her wedding vows, however, the High Council requires that Caroline submit to both an intimate, humiliating medical exam and a shameful public spanking at the hands of her future husband. But though the punishment leaves her blushing crimson, when Andrew takes her in his arms and masters her completely she cannot deny her body's response to his stern dominance and skilled lovemaking.
During the journey to Taar-Breck, Andrew begins the process of teaching Caroline obedience, and after she sneaks away in an effort to avoid a well-earned spanking she learns the hard way that naughty wives have their bottoms punished both inside and out. But with the High Council still seeking to hunt down her friends back on Earth, can Andrew tame his headstrong bride's reckless behavior before she puts herself in danger yet again?
Publisher's Note:Claimed by the Commander is a stand-alone novel which is the first book in the Brides of Taar-Breck series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
I have never understood how anyone thinks spankings are enjoyable. This young woman was hit/spanked 10 times with a leather belt. Then was spanked 10 times again the next day and the same day spanked with a thin wooden stick 10 times. Now I know the human body and as many times as she was hit in 2 days her bottom would be Black and Blue. Not just a pretty shade of pink. She was humiliated in from of strangers multiple times. This is wrong, not sexy not loving just Pain and Humiliation!
Caroline loves in a very repressive society and when she's found breaking ridiculous laws, she's arrested and dragged through the streets. Andrew has a pledge of betrothal from her grandfather which he uses to save her.
Oh my, the society left on Earth is terrible. I'd definitely want to not live there. The high councils is filled with mother-truckers and they are all pretty much sadistically evil. I hated them all.
Caroline💋💃 is a young woman of Noble birth, arrested at home for Treason on a recessive, but futuristic 🌎Earth, where women must wear long dresses and be chaste and pure, In this xxx Alpha Alien book, by Sassa Daniels.
She is brought before the high council, a bunch of dirty old lecherous and cruel men👹, and put on display in a transparent gown to be judged and assigned her punishment. All for being a free thinker, a member of a small group of like minded women, called the Hyde Ladies' Circle. Her sister, Elizabeth, was able to get out of the house and away, but Caroline💋💃 doesn't know what happened to her. Caroline💋💃 is saved from repeated public whippings and being sent to a brothel by Commander Andrew Rossingham🐺🍆🌋💪, a huge, handsome, half Taar-Breckian Warrior. He is also the Taar-Breckian leader. Caroline's grandfather promised Caroline💋💃 to him in marriage. He has all the legal paperwork and swoops in just in time to save her! Maybe she has been saved from The frying pan, only to be drawn into 🔥fire! Andrew🐺🍆🌋👋 is a big time Spankmeister👋 and binder! YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
The book has long scene of medical play and humiliation before Caroline and Andrew can leave 🌎Earth. Titillating. I 💘Love this kind of Alpha Male🐺 Sci-fi! The book is very well written and thought out. Highly recommend for lovers of this genre.
Sex in novels doesn't offend me and neither does submission. However, when it is forced by the threat of violence, I lose interest in a story such as this one. The entire first three chapters are non-con sexual scenes and it killed any interest in this story as it began to unfold from rape to Stockholm Syndrome love for the abuser.
I would not recommend this story nor would I seek out others written by this author.
I went about this series a bit backward 🤷 What can I say that seems to be a theme for me 🌏 The world building and the universe created for this series is impressive. The Earth has destroyed itself (never saw that one coming) and out of the remains a new society has risen - oppressive and misogynistic run by greedy and deviant males (huh? shocker). We have made contact with other planets and are working with Taar-Breck for food and technology as well as safety. 👥 The Characters Caroline our heroine is a rebellious arse kicking young lady who has a heart of gold. Her rebellious streak is more curiosity and the want to understand. Andrew is a decorated soldier and half human half Taar-Breck. I was a bit back and forth with him. I liked that he was not comfortable with the way the council ran things and that he felt the need to protect Caroline and was level headed about it. He did react out of caring and was endearing. There were a couple times I did not agree with him at all but they may have been the idea Supporting - The secondary and supporting characters are spot on! I can not wait to read some of their stories. The cast as a whole was easy to connect with and engaging ✍️ The story I enjoyed Andrew and Caroline's story a bit more than the previous one I read. Caroline is arrested by the council for participating in a forbidden ladies’ circle and a plot to incite rebellion (stars forbid women should think for themselves ) As she is about to be sentenced by the council Andrew steps in and provides documentation that she is to be his wife. The council wants blood but may have to settle for humiliation and a pound of flesh. Can Andrew save Caroline? Will Caroline play the part long enough for him to get her to safety? Will she ever learn? There are a few plot twists within the storyline as well as breadcrumb trails for future stories. Overall it flowed quite well and kept me engaged and curious as to what would happen next as well as a bit unsettled at times. As always with a first in series (at least for me) there were areas I would have liked more background and even more "meat" to the scene and others that I felt dragged a bit. Looking forward to reading book two
"Claimed By the Commander" is a thoughtful and well-written sci-fi romance. The setting is 100 years in the future on an Earth where 90% of the population has been killed off, women have no rights and most of them live under the strict control of a man. Noblewoman Caroline is strong willed and rebellious. She is arrested & charged with crimes that could result in extreme consequences. Fortunately she is saved from that fate. But is her rescuer someone she can trust? Andrew is firm, but sweet. I love the way he takes care of Caroline in multiple ways. They are strong as individuals and a dynamic duo. There are great supporting characters in their friends/families. There is danger, intrigue, spankings, compassion & love. There is tons of sensuality and some humiliation. Lesson learned - submission can be pleasurable and sometimes punishment is warranted. An entertaining page-turner!

Sassa Daniels had me at the forbidden ladies’ circle, where women meet to discuss unladylike topics like sex. ;) When her illicit acts are discovered, Caroline, who is a wonderful smart and slightly rebellious heroine, is apprehended and incarcerated.
The repressive society is well staged, so I took particular satisfaction in the arrival of the commander, Andrew, who lays down the law about how certain aspects of her medical exam will be performed. He’s exactly the kind of hero I love. He’s dominant but also protective. He’s precisely what she wants and needs. T
he story has a bit of suspense and intrigue which is great, and there are hot spanking scenes and very hot toys. There is also a pre-marriage-consummation ritual in a tub that’s a delicious tease. I’m not going to say more. You have to read it for yourself!
Interesting story. In a new earth, several hundred years in the future it seems women have lost any equality with men. I keep telling young women today that there rights and freedoms were earned on the back of previous generation of women and they should never take that for granted. Caroline is caught reading forbidden books (erotic romances) and is accused of plotting against the state by holding book club meetings with some other women. Her future is in question until the commander of the guard rushes in to the courtroom to claim her under the contract he had agreed to with her grandfather, years before. There's alot of intrigue as to whether he will safely get her off the planet and as to whether she will learn to submit to him. Of course an HEA is assured although there is some question as to what happens to her sister. Maybe that will be a follow-up book.
A great new series start, can't wait to see where it goes next! The series starts off with a raid, then you start to learn about this massively oppressive and misogynistic new world order that will make you love the freedoms of the Spanish Inquisition. Since this is the first book in the series, there is a lot of exposition and world building. The characters are either evil or freedom loving rebels. Also, they are a little inconsistent so I hope that gets better as the story progresses. There is a whole ton of patriarchal domination and feminine suppression, like to an excessive degree. I don't get how Elizabeth could just disappear and stay hidden but maybe that will be cleared up later too? I thought the relationship between Andrew and Caroline was microwaved but still felt believable. I'm interested in reading more in this series!
First, as with any piece of "Earth woman has sex with hunky alien man" erotica, you have to set aside your qualms about biology. So accept that and move on.
A lot of the book contrasts the Earth (post-apocalyptic) domination and abuse of women with the Tarr-Breck "women have lives with jobs and power and responsibilities but also joyfully submit to their husbands" system. The latter is, clearly, better.
Anyways, a very intelligent and spunky woman who gets her dominant guy. Spanking, some bondage, anal. Punishments and funishments. Good times.
Yes, the beginning of the story is non-consensual as hell. If that is a trigger, you can either figure that the HEA makes it good, or skip the book. The (non-con) medical scene is quite hot.
HEA. Noncon beginning leading to happy erotic romp. With plenty of storyline for the future.
On a planet where women werent allowed voices and they wernt allowed to read naughty books, Caroline has been arrested and accused of Treason, and imprisoned. They cut her hair in order to try and break her and get names of the other women in her reading group. However at the moment Commander Andrew Rosingham comes in and saves her by saying she is his bride.. an arranged marriage by her Grandfather. This is just the start for these two wonderful couple, but before she can be married to Andrew, she must go though a humiliting medical exam and be punished in front of the crowd
I absolutely loved reading this story from Sassa Daniels, she really is a wonderful author who writes hot and sexy stories with wonderful hunky men who will punish the women when they need to.
The book in a new series by Sassy Daniels. The story doesn't have a cliffhanger and has a good rounded ending of this part of the story, but there is a set up for more. Which is a good thing, because I really enjoyed this book.
The author has a very nice style of writing. There is quite a lot of attention to details, but the story flows really well. Caroline is character you can easily relate to, she stands up for her beliefs, but she is also realistic. Andrew is strong, stern, but also loving and kind. I look forward to the next book, because I would love to know what happens next
I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough Carolines grandfather signed an agreement, now that she was arrested Commander Andrew Rossingham from Taar-Breck claimed her as his bride, now he has to train her in obedience before the wedding. It was hot and steamy, passion, lust and BDSM. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

This is for adults for sure. Maybe for one who is looking for something a bit more kinky, spicy, or just plain different. Well written and believable this book is set on an earth that has lost most of its population through war. What government they have is corrupt. This story covers some of what one women goes through without a man and what she will achieve with her man. Good, with some suspense and action.
This is my first book of this author and I enjoyed it. The story takes place in the future where women all but have their rights taken away, so when Caroline breaks a rule she is brought before the counsel for judgement. So when Andrew hears what's going on, he claims her as his bride due to a contract her grandfather signed with him. There is drama and steamy scenes in this entertaining story line.

I loved this story! It was everything I hoped it would be! Action-packed, romantic, exciting, and of course incredibly hot. The twists and turns were very well done and some were unexpected. I absolutely recommend to fans of sci-fi, who love plenty of romance, and an exciting new world to escape into.
I rated this book 4 out 5 Stars because it wasn't long enough! The plot & characters were both very interesting and the sex & punishment portions tittilting. All in all a fun read but I would have liked it to be longer. This is my first Sassafras Daniels book & I plan to read more of her work
Sensual and bawdy. This is a book to stimulate you with excitement and not one to read in your mother's company! Interesting take on an alien and old fashion earth customs. I couldn't live within the earth restrictions on this story and timeline, but would love Taar-Breck!
Good, quick read with a few sexy scenes thrown in. The only problem I found was, I absolutely love the hero to be really possessive with the female, overly so, but in this there were a few scenes where he was a bit too blasé about other men touching his female. Otherwise, I enjoyed it but I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the series.
Caroline is charged by the High Court. She is thrown in prison, her hair shaved off, and integrated for hours. Then she is lead through streets, naked and in a cage. Andrew comes to her rescue by marrying her. But her husband has his own set of rules and discipline. This is book one and for adults only. I recommend this series.
She is saved by the commander just in time, however the crowd must be appeased. She is lashed but not as hard as she could have been. She endures a humiliating medical exam. He is proud of her but wants her he will not hesitate to punish her if she breaks his rules. Will they endure?
Book one in the Brides of Taar-Breck series, I will be reading the rest of the books in this series. Caroline Chatterton and Commander Andrew Rossingham of Taar-Breck's story of suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, spankings, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This well written brides story about woman who is fulfilling her grandfather's bride contract and she is trying to help her friends. This story has action, twists, turns, romance, and love. This does have triggers and is also a wonderful strong alpha shifter story. A must read

I really enjoyed this book. The world it is set in is interesting and the characters are well developed. There was just the right amount of domestic discipline / BDSM in it. I am excited to see what the rest of the series holds.
Fantastic and intriguing writing. Looking for something that can really get you into a book. Give this author a try, you'll find that she creates some amazing characters and intriguing mates.
At first she does not know what will happen to get bro g taken from her home humiliated and hurt them she meets her destiny sigh what a sexy hot exciting thrilling tantalizing read loved it!
Well if you like steamy, sexy storylines this book is for you. I personally found the ‘punishments’ a little hard to take, but I still enjoyed the book, and I will read more from this author.
