Summary:

Received for an honest review.

Raven has been living on the streets trying to stay one step ahead of other gangs and the Neotrists while scrounging enough food to stay alive. Raven found a stash of food, but the problem is that it is hidden underground where the Mole Men who eat human flesh. While attempting to get to the bunker, Raven and her friends are captured leaving them with no hope until Rage overtakes Raven and she manifests the ability to create fire from her hands. Things go from bad to worse when the Neotrists find and capture Raven's gang leading Raven into the path of Alva who is much more than he originally revealed. Everything that Raven knows may not be the true s their world itself is placed in danger.

This was a complex story with so many twists and turns that is held me spellbound form the very start. As Raven's past is revealed, she learned that her mother was no exactly who she thought she was. Between Alva, the Neotrists, and her struggle to stay alive, Raven learned many lessons of survival that may help her in the struggle ahead. New worlds, unknown challenges, and new enemies are yet to be explored in this incredible series.

Interesting.

I finished it which is more than I can say for some books. It's about an orphan named Raven who lives in a dystopian society and discovers that fairies and witches exist and that she is one. Human have set off a nuclear bomb and all the humans have to escape to Fae where it turns out they're food for the fairies. Some good fairies and some witches help them to escape and they end up in some creepy blank slate world and the book just ends. I have no idea what happened and I don't really care. Passed the time but if there's a second part, I'm not interested.

Good, but not great

I've really come to enjoy novels set in this world, but this one just didn't click with me as well as some of the others did. I also thought the ending was a little vague compared to the stellar finishes of the other Isa Fae novels. Still it was a good read overall. I enjoyed it, but I probably wouldn't read it again.
