«THINKING SYMBOLICALLY» PART 1: THE SECRET FOR TO UNDERSTAND THE INVISIBLE WORLD (

This essay is dedicated to the symbolic thinking, and is based mainly on the Work of Carl Gustav Jung: The Symbolic Life.
The symbol is a meaningful image and if it is associated with emotion it is called archetype.
Symbols give meaning to life, however unhappy this may be. This is the function of religious symbols.
The scientific mentality that has arisen in our time has dehumanized man.
The man who puts all his faith in science has lost his touch with the living forces of nature that have become for him a dead thing.
This loss of contact with nature is compensated for by dreams which bring to consciousness the primitive nature of instincts which are manifested through images containing a meaning that one must know how to decipher.
Unfortunately the language of dreams seems more like a puzzle than a picture that comes from the unconscious, full of meaning.
From here arises the difficult task of translating symbolic language comprehensibly into our rational mode of thinking which has long been freed from this primordial language.
Nowadays, spirits are not invoked, magical formulas are not believed and many taboos have disappeared.
Our world has swept away witches, wizards and goblins as well as werewolves, forest fairies, and all the bizarre entities that populate the virgin forests.
It remains to know if, despite having done this "cleansing", the human being became truly free of all its primitivism.
The man of today is a miscellany of modernity and primitivism.
When all these worlds are separated by abysses of forgetfulness, the human being feels bad and gets lost.
It is necessary to retrace the path to the prehistoric beginnings of our evolution, driven by the language of dreams.
Even if this language seems fanciful and implausible, it promotes the whole of our psyche, and avoids the neuroses provoked by the partiality of our culture.
In this work I try to arouse the curiosity of the readers for this reality that is lacking in the culture of the present day and that is fundamental so that the human being is complete and happier.
