Everyone knows Tess is a klutz, but when she stumbles over a dead body, no one is laughing...
Sisters, Oregon is preparing for a ton of people coming through town for the solar eclipse event, but all the preparation didn't account for a fire on the mountain or a murdered tour guide.
The senior citizens from the tour are acting strange and Tess's friends and neighbors are acting stranger.
She's not sure she can trust two guests who want to come to her rescue, even if one is a whiz at business and the other is a hunky Mr. Fix It.
Will Tess figure out who she can trust before anyone else gets killed?
I'm not just a cozy mystery writer, I'm a total cozy mystery reader! I have to admit I kind of push the envelope with the cozy mystery boundaries. I mean, I figure if we're dealing with dead bodies, weapons, and psychos what's a teeny bit of cussing and a little romance to boot.
When I'm not writing and reading, I enjoy hanging out in the tiny home eating primo chocolate and watching lame movies, hanging out with my friends and family, hiking, and playing around with herbs.
The title got me, so I had to .. I do love these 'cozy mysteries' that start off all soft and cuddly, with carefree lives in small town America, that then wind up into a full murder mystery .. Good characters with a well thought through plot and lots of red herrings .. I would read another
This book is a fun cozy mystery. The Tumbleweed Tea B&B is run by an overworked owner who works 24 hours a day to try to make her dream come true. In addition to the murder mystery, I enjoyed the reference to the solar eclipse. It reminded me of our trip to South Carolina to view the eclipse. I really like the characters in the story and hope to read more about them in the future. This book laid the foundation for several stories yet to be created. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Lots of books out about B+Bs, but this one had a bit of a different story line. Her characters really were characters. Interesting, a bit odd, and all seemed to have issues if their own. Be interesting to see how much depth she gives them in future books. Altogether, an enjoyable read.
This is a great story and an excellent written mystery. Loved it and can't wait for the next book in the series! I finished it a couple of days ago and still can't get it out of my mind!
The girl who runs the Tumbleweed Tea B&B is a bit ditsy and a lot clumsy but all in all the story is very good. I thought it was pretty good and I think you will also.
A lovely gentle read about an overworked Inn owner who stumbles over a dead body (literally). Lovely characters and a gentle plot that will have you guessing time and time again as to who the killer is.
Not my usual genre to read, but one part did make me tear up because of the challenges of childhood friendships changing and growing apart. My favorite character is Mustang Molly, and I am looking forward to what her part would be in the next book. The ending definitely has a twist, I'm not sure how else to describe it without giving anything away.
