I never thought tha I would share that the best laugh my mom had all year was from Melinda Cordell's rose care books.

Her guides to gardening are funny, insightful, and feature some awesome photos.

Her advice is common sense, and ranges from the organic to chemical, and any combo in between, with info about the impact and time to take effect for treatments.

If you want some seriously good info, and can enjoy some comic relief after struggling with your lawn and garden, this is a great go to!

Enjoy!

The author provides good advice for lawn care for those who cannot stand to have anything but a glowing green lawn or for those who must have one to meet neighborhood expectations or rules. Even if you are happy with a weedy lawn, there are still good suggestions to improve overall health of the lawn without applying chemicals. Discussed are what to look for in grass types and seeds for particular areas or needs, what a lawn actually needs to grow well and be healthy, and how to provide for those needs. Other suggestions are thrown in for safety, considerations beyond the lawn itself and care of equipment. If you have no idea how to work with your lawn and wish to avoid a lawn care company and its various treatments, this book is for you. If you have some idea of how to care for a lawn, there are plenty of morsels here to bite into. If you are a turf grass professional, you probably already know what to do.
