Had Jocelyn finally defeated Devin and fine her true world in dark hedonism? Or had it only been a reprise from the sinister plans, this evil man had for her? She had been freed from the clutches of torture and found peace and contentment with Sunreet in India. Jocelyn missed her friends and lover, Stafford, but life had become comfortable in India. It wasn't till Beth, her best friend, arrived for a visit did the past conflicts arise. Jocelyn knew that she and Beth had issues to be resolved and returning to the Mansion was now inevitable. What had been intended to be a relaxing boat cruise turned into a nightmare of torture, as the menacing hand of Devin clutched her by the throat. Can Jocelyn and Beth escape the misery of ruthless men or were they destined to a life of slavery? Façade's Betrayal, Book Five in the Dark Desire Series
I saw the cover to Facade's Betrayal and I thought, how beautiful. I was just going to read the prologue. Nope, I looked up and I was 77% into the book. I had to finish it right? Absofreakinglutely. I couldn't believe what Jocelyn and Beth went through but I felt every sting, every lash. Sunreet was a love/hate/love character for me. I can't wait to read what Lisette has in store for us next. 5 stars.
Wow. As I write this review I will not tell you the story, but will let you know that this is even darker than the others. I was crying through part because Jocelyn had no place to go and I was ready to kill Devin. You will cry, laugh and be happy. Enjoy reading.
