So initially he intended to bed her as his PA. She has been celibate after giving birth but was carried away into the moments and was willing to have bareback sex with him. Desperate much girl? Then she found out from his friend’s text that she is just a bet. Manwhore scrolled through his family album and notice that her child has his grandmother green eyes. So when she asked to be transferred, he didn’t let her. Brought her a flower and thai food and HEA. Huh

Vivian is a single mother with a 5 years old boy. She never told she was pregnant to her ex boyfreind because he left to work in New York and broke with her .
Now, she needs money and she leaves her home town to work in New York too.
Her ex is now a CEO and Vivian has an interview in the building where he works, but not with him because she doesn’t want to see him and to tell him the truth about their son. That’s what she wants, but she can’t have it. He’s the one who interviews her, so he finds out she’s in town. He hires her and try to seduce her back without knowing she’s a mother and that he's the father of her child.
Between a bet, their son, their attraction and their past, it’s a bit complicate for Vivian to have a relation with him.
So, I liked the story, but I don’t like that a part of it is written like if someone tells us a story without really be in . Each chapter could have had more dialogs and less descriptives parts.

Okay book.

So the title of this book isn't really what the book is about, since the "baby" is like 5 years old. The story is kind of choppy. You have a bet with the two billionaires (and I really hate those kinds of books) which just makes them look like children. You have Vivian who just wants a good job and gets hired as Carters (baby's daddy) assistant. So its not hard to see how this story goes. Its a second chance, secret baby, and short story book

Short story. Didn't love it as I didn't really take to Carter who I thought had no redeeming features whatsoever. Vivian came across as weak and easily convinced and rolled my eyes a lot about the fact that she'd been celibate since being with him the first time and he'd basically spent his time screwing anything that moved!
It seemed that the author fluctuated between providing the detail of what was going on and only providing a summary which adversely affected the flow of the story for me.
Surprised to find that when I'd finished the novella I was only 8% through because the kindle version has hundreds of other short stories tacked on the end. I've read a few but just skimmed the majority as it all got a bit repetitive!

This is a quick, steamy read, but I didn't find the characters very believable. Carter is a complete playboy in the beginning, right down to a list of conquests, and while I can understand that a child changes things, I just didn't find his turnaround convincing - too much, too fast. Vivian made some bad choices, but for someone so independent and determined to stay away from Carter, she followed through with an interview and accepted a job? The story had potential, but needed a bit more development and consistency of characters.

Numerous stories

The Boss's Secret Baby is a short novella. Cute story, but why wait 5+ years to tell a man you have a child when she could be collecting thousands in child support. She is a better woman than I.

The other stories.....I wish when they write a summary of the book they list this is not a novel but a collection of short stories. I picked and chose a few interesting ones.

This was a really nice second chance story. Vivian and her 5 year old son moved to New York City for more opportunities. She has a job interview at the company of her ex boyfriend she hasn't seen since two months before she found out she was pregnant. Carter left her in Vermont and made it big in NYC. He's rich and has no idea she's in the city or has a son. She figures she won't see him since she has an interview in a lower level position that will give her benefits and a salary she desperately needs to take care of her son. When she gets to the interview she is shocked to find out that her interview has changed because Carter needs a new PA right away, so he took the interview. He's thrilled to see her again since he has a bet going with his buddy on getting his new PA into bed. Now we are in for a hot and wild ride full of secrets and old feelings that come to the surface. Will they find happily ever after? I enjoyed this book so much! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received this book for an honest review. I liked it. It was a good quick read, with lots of sexual tension, secrets & a &$?@ list. I really didn't care for the character of Carter in the beginning he was the ultimate man whore who used women for sex & to win money from his friend when he bedded more women than the friend. Vivian was a sweet loving mother to a cute little boy who was hiding a huge secret. When applying for a job at Carter's company she never thought she'd be working for her ex-boyfriend, now a billionaire playboy. The story moved quickly with Carter realizing that he'd never cared about any woman like he did Vivian & Vivian finally admitted that she never stopped loving Carter. Now they have the hurtle of the secrets between them to get past & see if there's really anything real between them. Recommend to read.

Carter wanted out of the small town he grew up in and upon graduation he left, leaving behind his girlfriend Vivian. Carter made it big he now owns and runs a successful company. He needs to find a new PA. Vivian moves to the big city as there isn't much work in her small town. She applies for a job as a PA and as it turns out it's for the company Carter owns, and then fate steps in and the original position that she applies for is changed and she is now applying to be Carter's PA. The pair recognise each other straight away and start working together but Vivian is keeping a secret from Carter his 5 year old son Mason. The book is a sweet second chance story that I enjoyed.

This is romantic, amusing and entertaining. Carter is a dog. He's rich, good-looking and he just uses women for sport. Vivian, his ex, is smart, determined and vulnerable. Vivian needs a job, Carter's company is hiring, so she applies. And gets hired to be Carter's PA. He has a bet to bed his PA, but then he sees that it's Vivian, and all bets are off, he wants he for a totally different reason. Vivian tries to stay professional, but she has always loved Carter, so it's hard. The storyline is interesting and the characters are captivating and likable.

Carter is a player. When he was in high school he would not only play the hockey rink but every girl that would throw them self at carter. Carter and Vivian dated in high school. Until Carter's dreams and ambition got to him. Carter left town to move to New York. Leaving Vivian behind. Vivian new that she couldn't stay in her small town in Vermont. So she decided to move to New York. Vivian found a really great job that would help pay for rent and much more. When Vivian realizes that she would be Carter's new PA she tried to make everything work out. I loved the story line and plot. When she and their son moves to the big city and she start working at Carters company - they meet.
A sweet second chance romance with a HEA ending. Charlize Starr never disapoints me. I fell in love with the characters. Always a good read.

This is the first story in this collection. It was a fast read. They grew up together in Vermont. But he took off to make his name in money. Now six years later she has moVed to New York to work. He has become a famous man whore. But in business he was at the top of his game. He had a standing her with a buddy of his about who could bed what woman. It gets interesting when she was hired to be his PA. Will his betting get him in hot water? Or will her secret be the bomb that devastate him?

This was a really nice second-chance book. When Carter left Vermont for New York, he left Vivian and the son he didn't know about. When a Vivian shows up to interview for a job with Chance's company she doesn't expect to see Chance. As they spend time together, old feelings reappear but they both have secrets. Will those secrets destroy any shot at a HEA?

I really liked this book and had a hard time putting it down. Carter doesn't come across so good in the beginning but once he sees Vivian things are different. They have great chemistry together but each have a secret. Will they each get past the others secret and have a great life? You'll have to read and find out. Loved it. It has heartbreak, romance, issues from past and is about second chances. He left to start up his company and make it big leaving her behind not knowing she is pregnant. Her she is years from then to try for a job in his company. And the fun begins when he gets a few surprises. I highly recommend this. I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. A sweet love story

Vivian has avoided Carter for years and plans to still avoid him when she starts work at his company. Carter is a player and he has a bet list with his best friend. He bets that he can sleep with his new PA by the end of the week, that is until he finds out it is Vivian. His main ex girl fiend and mother of his unknown child. The story I'd sweet and the sex hot.

He is a total jerk of a manwh*re. She kept a big secret from him. I liked that when she comes back into his life he finally grows up realizing what he left behind is what he always wanted. A very sweet romance.
