Sometimes the only man who can mend a shattered heart...is the Dom who broke it.
At 25, Simone Delevingne had learned to deal with her painful past in all the wrong ways. Then she met Holt Manning. He dominated her heart as easily as he dominated her body, and for the first time in her life, Simone was happy--and loved.
And then one night cost her everything.
Now, after a lot of recovery and a lot of hard work, Simone is ready to return to Club Volare as the club's publicist. She's determined to redeem herself and the club, even if it means working with the tall, dark, and rough Dom who broke her heart. As long as no one ever finds out what really happened the night she ruined her life, she'll be fine. She'll just be working with the ex who can make her clothing disappear with a single command -- if he feels like it.
What could possibly go wrong?
...
One year ago, Holt Manning made the biggest mistake of his life--and it cost him the only woman he's ever loved. He's determined to atone for his mistakes and claim Simone once and for all. But when they are forced to work together to save the club from a vicious smear, Holt realizes she's hiding something. And he's going to find out what it is.
It doesn't take long for Holt to claim what's his. Simone's body can't resist Holt's commands, but her heart is stubborn. Until the secret of what happened the night Simone lost everything comes back to threaten her one more time -- and Holt might be the only man who can save her.
Simone needs her once and future Dom. But will he still want her once he knows the truth?
I have an overactive imagination and too much time on my hands, and the result is...well, lots of books! Which is probably better than the alternative. ;)
I love writing steamy and erotic romances, some dark, some light, but always about something that moves me. And, because I'm totally a sucker, love tends to win out. Everyone deserves a happy ending. :)
My contemporary BDSM erotic romance series, Club Volare, has hit the genre bestseller charts on Amazon a few times, which is just awesome. Right now there are two books, Sold to the Sheikh and Tied to the Tycoon, with a third, Disciplined by the Dom, due in February 2013. And I've also got this paranormal series in the very beginning stages of development that I'm super excited about. When I'm not writing those, I'm gonna be reading -- if you've got any good recs, send them my way!
And if you want to hear about those new releases when they come out, you can sign up for my New Releases list here (I *only* use it for that; I hate spam so much!).
Quite a few typos and editing errors spread throughout the story. They aren't enough to hurt the story, but you do find yourself rereading some passages because of them.
One thing for sure, Chloe Cox knows how to write a very hot, steamy and erotic scene that somehow is filled with romance and intense emotion. This she is most definitely a true master at.
This one was much slower paced and not her best work.
Another great read from Ms Cox! She never disappoints. A touching story along with hot kinky sex!
Holt made one heck of a character trip in this one. He realized what he did wasn't really the best thing to do and his view of life is not black and white not right or wrong. He had to make that change to really see and be there for Simone. Simone grew up a whole bunch too. The characters were very in depth and pulled you into their story.
Great addition to the series! I received a copy from the author for a honest review. Thanks so much!
Simone's fall from grace was of epic proportions. Yet, she clawed her way back and stands on the brink of new beginnings but this time without the love of her life, Holt, her Dom. She has to prove she's okay to Club Volare, to her friends but most of all to herself. Holt never stopped loving Simone even during the year they've been apart. He realized the harshness of his breakup with Simone could have been handled differently. Now he just has to figure out a way to get her to agree. Simone surprises him with an offer to resume a D/s relationship but on her terms, meaning just that, D/s only. She even evokes the "Julia Roberts rule." Holt is not happy but agrees realizing how much she needs his Dominance to ground her and relieve her inner stress and turmoil.
When an old threat rears its head, Holt finally realizes that his world is not as black and white as it has been most of his life. Simone has moved him into technicolors. If Simone can only move beyond her personal shame even if it's only to apologize for lying to him, maybe there's a chance for them and an HEA.
This is such a great story of healing love on both Holt and Simone's parts. Watch her inner resolve and strength evolve and his highly regimental view of life alter was fabulous. This is such a great series! I've read each book (most of them twice) and eagerly await the next in the series.
Love it!!! Love me some Holt and Simone!!! This story is about second chances. Holt and Simone broke up but both of them knew that they were still in love. One year later and the feeling were still there. With the help of Gavin they start to bridge the gap between them. Because of everything that happen they both have grown so much. Holt realizing his mistakes and Simone taking a major step to becoming sober. The story is well written and it takes you on a journey of love and hot sex. Holt and his two personas the investigator and the Dom when he puts them together he is just wow!!! Simone was too afraid after what went down with Holt, it took her a minute to trust him again but I loved to read about how she had come from rock bottom to getting back on top. When I was reading to story I could feel the love between the two of them shining through. Great Job Chloe Cox. Looking forward the Cole's story.
I recommend reading the prequel, #9 and #10 stories before this one to understand the story line about the other sex club that is trying to put Club Volare out of business. I also like how the characters in those stories show up. It's the Club Volare family.
This is a very good character driven, emotional, intense "second chance" story. Simone fell apart after Holt broke up with her a year ago. She wound up in the hospital, then rehab. He was cold and brutal about it. He deeply regrets it and wants to repair the damage he did. Simone is stronger but unwilling to risk her heart again with him, so they negotiate a no-strings D/s relationship. I don't quite feel their emotional connection and maybe that's because Simone is still fragile. Holt gives her the release she needs but doesn't seem to connect to her emotionally.
There are many jumbled and missing words; sloppy editing which disrupts a good story.

Club Volare is once again open for business, and Holt Manning and Simone Delavigne are back in their own story. Simone has made a comeback since She and Holt broke up because of her drinking problem. She’s now the PR person for Club Volare and at the club to work on a charity event. Holt is also there to have a talk with manager Gavin about making a formal complaint against Alan Crennell. Gavin gets the two back together in a sneaky meeting and Holt and Simone decide to have a no-strings-attached, no white picket fence, BDSM relationship. Holt wants all of her, but Simone doesn’t think she’s good enough for Holt, thanks to what happened the night Holt broke up with her and Alan Crennell who has blackmail on his mind. I rooted for Simone and Holt’s relationship through this book and was definitely cheering for Crennell’s downfall. I certainly hope this series continues.
Wow! Just wow! I have read all the books in the Club Volare series and this was by far my favorite! I love the character of Simone and how she is a strong woman who loves a Dom by the name of Holt! Simone and Holt had broken up a year previously due to some issues she had. Now that she has taken care of herself she is ready to go back to Club Volare where she meets up with Holt again. She does have a secret and Holt is determined to find out what. The chemistry between the characters is sizzling. If you want to know what happens, then read this book!! Actually read the whole series!
I HAVE READ THESE CLUB VOLARE BOOKS KIND OF HIT AND MISS. NOT SURE WHY. THIS ONE IS VERY GOOD. LOSES A STAR FOR GRAMMAR. I KNOW, SO PICKY.
SIMONE AND HOLT ARE AWESOME. WHEN HOLT BROKE OFF WITH SIMONE A YEAR AGO OVER HER DRINKING SHE WAS A HOT MESS. SHE ALREADY APPARENTLY HAD SELF ESTEEM ISSUES AND WHEN HOLT LEFT HER BECAUSE SHE WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM SHE WENT OFF THE RAILS. AND NOW THEY ARE BACK TOGETHER AND SHE CAN'T MAKE HER SELF BELIEVE HE WILL LOVE HER IF HE KNEW HOW FAR SHE HAD TRULY FALLEN.
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Getting to read a new Chloe Cox book feels like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one. I was a little disappointed by book 10 in the series so I'm super happy to report that I absolutely LOVED book 11.
The only semi spoiler I will give is that Simone and Holt's story won't be the last one as we were introduced to a new dom and a new foe.
Absolutely loved Holt and Simone's story! I was hoping they'd get their HEA! It was also a wonderful check in on all the D/s characters I've fallen in love with! I'm so excited to see the ending of this one. All the ups and downs not only in this book but the other books with Holt and Simone I wanted to see them overcome. Even when it looked like they wouldn't I had faith! Can't wait for the next installment!
I am so happy Simone and Holt got their story. This one was a bit different but in no way less. I loved the growth that both characters showed through out the book. I also loved how it was referenced multiple times how Simone used the tools she was taught in rehab to help in her everyday battle to maintain her sobriety. I am happy that by the end of the story both has evoked form two halves into one whole beautiful love!
After Holt had broken Simone's heart, she never wanted to see him again. Unfortunately for her, her new job as PR for Club Volare puts her working with him almost directly. The sparks fly, but can they keep their hearts out of it? The passion between these two is off the charts, I loved the touch of intrigue about their pasts. Overall, a great read!
I must say this is the most emotional one of the series. I wasn't sure liked Simone in the previous books. But once we got her story I loved her and felt her pain. Then I was mad at Holt for breaking up with her. Of course until we got his story. Then I fell in love with him and the whole book just fell into place. Can't wait for the next Club Volare book.
Good book. I think it was interesting. Good BDSM and sex scenes in it. BDSM -light. I really liked Cole and Simone. I thought they were great strong characters with some real life issues. The story was interesting and had me very engaged that I wanted to read the whole book in one sitting...I will read the next one about Cole.
Great read with likeable Dom and sub finding their way back to each other with just enough sex to keep it hot and enough BDSM to keep it intense and compelling. Well written and detailed.
This was an erotic story of two people who had to fight like hell to find happiness! Holy and Simone had an evil monster trying to keep them apart! Can the destroy this monster together or would he destroy them in the end? A must read! Loved it!
Simone and Holt's story was sizzling hot. Sexy Dom and a running scared submakes for an interesting story. Reading this was definitely my highlight f the week. Great job
arc review for honest review simone and holt were togather at club volare both have made mistakes but growing and learning to trust love and forgive is what they have learned now.
Chloe Cox does it again... I loved this book. The chemistry between Holt & Simone was off the charts! I was hooked from the beginning and enjoyed the ride.
Chloe Cox always has great psychological insight when writing her characters, and the hot sex scenes are great too. Look forward to this series continuing.
