A new Katy Evan’s book with the title “Manwhore”. I was sold. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author and Manwhore was no exception. Once I started reading, I didn't want to stop. I was completely enamored with Malcolm Saint.
Malcolm Saint is anything but a saint. He’s a rich and powerful man. And lets face it, he’s a manwhore. And Rachel is a journalist who will do anything to get her story. And her story is Saint.
Malcolm Saint is a character you will fall for. Yes, he’s a shrewd business man, a complete alpha and can be difficult, but there is so much more to this man then what meets the eye. I loved getting all the revelations about him.
The more time Rachel spends with him, the more she tries to get for her story, the more she sees of him as well. She sees him. The real Malcolm Saint. And she’s torn. Her job is so important to her. There is so much insta-lust between these two in the beginning, but as the story progresses, so do their feelings. And it’s not good for Rachel.
Rachel is determined. She’s sweet, kind and likable. There were moments towards the end I wanted to knock some sense into her, but any choice she made I didn’t love, I understood why she did it, so it was okay.
The first half of the book really drew me in. I loved seeing Rachel and Saint’s relationship progress. They have such intense chemistry. I love when you can just feel the spark between two people. No matter how much Rachel tried to deny it, you could feel it. After she let herself feel, things just got even better between them.
The ending was intense and yes, a cliffhanger that will leave you dying for the next book. I can’t wait to read more about Rachel and Saint. I just have to know what happens between these two!
Manwhore is a steamy, intense and alluring read. Once you start, you won’t want to put it down. Malcolm Saint will intrigue you and fascinate you. And once you finish, just like me, you’ll NEED the next book! Manwhore+1 can’t come soon enough!

On this night. I'm stealing touches that might definitely be too close to the fire, but my hands have a mind of their own. Part of me is crazed. His lips were made to kiss, his hands to touch; that's the sole purpose of his thick hair: for women to cling to while he pounds them hard. His eyes seem to offer peeks into heaven and into some kind of party in hell, and I'm maddened by it all.
I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Hello Ladies, there is a new book boyfriend in town and his name is Malcolm Saint!!! He's Chicago's most eligible billionaire bachelor, whose well known for his manwhoring ways.
Rachel Livingston is a young reporter, working for a magazine called Edge, which is in jeopardy of going under. In an effort to save the publication, Rachel's boss gives her an assignment. Get close to Malcolm Saint and write an expose on the Gorgeous Billionaire Playboy!!
Rachel is able to get a meeting with Malcolm under the rouse of writing an article on his upcoming Social Media website which is going to give Facebook a run for it's money. She is instantly taken with Saint and seems to lose her ability to think straight whenever she's near him.
The build up is slow between them, which I think was perfectly orchestrated. I was sitting on pins & needles waiting for Saint to make his move. I wondered in the beginning, as well, if he was even the slightest bit attracted to Rachel. He was hard to read! But the moment he called DIBS at one of his parties in front of his friends with regards to Rachel, I think I just melted in a pool of SWOON!! Who knew the word DIBS could have such an affect on so many women???!!!!!
I thought this book was perfect!! Honestly I do fall in love with a lot of the book boyfriends we meet, but not all of them are worthy of a spot in my GR name. Well Malcolm definitely earned his place!!
This book ends on a cliffy!! I MEAN A HUGE ONE!
BUT, thankfully the second book is out already, so no suffering for those of us who haven't read this amazing book yet!!!
If you haven't read it, please, go and grab this one!!!! Be prepared to have to change your panties a few times. Malcolm will melt them right off of you!!

Now let's be honest here, shall we? I didn't even bother reading the blurb to this book before I decided I'd read it. Because that title alone? It had my name written all over it. So was it everything I had expected? Yes, and so much more. It wasn't the typical rich playboy manwhore plot you'd expect to read. Surprisingly the characters and the story had so much more depth to them that I had ever expected.
Rachel just got the chance to write a story that can make her career and help the flailing magazine she writes for stay afloat. The subject? Only the man that seems to be on every news channel and magazine cover lately. An enigma that likes to do things in fours. Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. He's enigmatic, electric, consuming, and a mystery beneath the surface. No one knows what makes the man tick, or what makes him jump from one woman to the next within a blink of an eye. Luckily Rachel is single and seems to be just kiss type, and so she eagerly takes the assignment not knowing what she's getting into or quite the effect that Saint will soon have one her.
Under the guise of interviewing him for his new social media venture that just may overtake Facebook, Rachel tries to scratch beneath the surface of the man that no one truly seems to know beyond his two best friends.
I appreciated the way that the author truly built the chemistry between Rachel and Saint and didn't just toss them into bed together straight away. Rachel is a woman of her career and her struggle with writing her unbiased story while fighting her growing feelings for the man that she can't seem to get off of her mind was very clear.
Saint was so much more than he seems to be. Of course he's a man used to getting what he wants, so when he pursues Rachel and doesn't get the result he usually does, he's intrigued.
Saint was so much more than his good looks and abundance of money. His character had a surprising amount of depth to him. You get a few bits and pieces about the whys of it here, but it's just enough to scrape the surface.
I really enjoyed the first half of this book immensely. The connection between Rachel and Saint practically crackles with electricity and the burn was oh so sweet. I loved that the author really stretched it out and made Saint work for it. Rachel was a fantastic heroine too. Although young, she doesn't have that typical immature naivety to her. The star of the book truly was Saint though. Everything about him is just so...GAH. His intensity almost jumps through the pages at you.
I also really loved all the secondary characters like Rachel's best friends and Saint's. Hopefully they'll be getting a book of their own soon, especially Tahoe and Gina, because that set up is already delicious sounding.
I did find the second half of the book a touch too dragged out for me, but not immensely so. It never did lose my interest and I was fully invested into the story from beginning to finish. The ending gives you just enough to keep you begging for more and I for one cannot wait how it all concludes with the next book. Did that sound PC? (Because honestly, the ending left me a bit of a hair pulling and screaming mess, borderline stalking the author for any tidbits of the next book LOL)

3.5 stars!
I’ve had my highs and lows with this author’s Real series, so with this book being the first in a brand new series I was curious to see her take on a catchy, yet predictable premise. While I wasn’t really sure about it for the first part of the book, by the end I was reeled in and officially hooked – it’s safe to say I did like this one after all! It’s steamy, it’s a tad bit scandalous, and even though it has its faults, it’s one of those books the more I read, the more the appeal of the story shined through. I’m sure longtime fans of this author will find another winner with this one and for those that aren’t quite sold on it yet, if you’re looking for a steamy book to escape into, this one’s a solid pick!
The story starts off with the heroine Rachel agonizing over her job and wondering if she’ll get cut, but instead, her boss offers her a once in a life time opportunity that could push her and the magazine into the limelight: write a piece on the enigmatic billionaire Malcolm Saint, and expose every little juicy detail about him there is. It’s a job that requires her to bend rules and compromise morals, but Rachel is willing to do anything if it means she’ll get to stay on board with the magazine. Plus, she’s under the impression that exposing Malcolm can’t be all that bad as he has everything anyone could ever want. Men envy him, women want him.
But boy, she couldn’t be further from the truth! After getting an in with Malcolm and spending some time with him, she finds out that behind his public image is a lonely, thoughtful man. And throughout the entire course of her assignment her determination to research and reveal everything about him wavers, and she’s constantly in turmoil over what to do.
While there was no insta-love, lust and attraction played a huge role in the beginning of Malcolm and Rachel’s relationship, so much that I honestly didn’t feel the deeper emotional connection. Even now that I’ve finished the book, I just couldn’t see how and when Rachel fell in love with him. Throughout the story I was praying that I’d get a couple of chapters in Malcolm’s POV because I desperately needed to hear his thoughts in a few crucial scenes but never got them, which made me feel an even bigger disconnect with these characters. I liked them individually but as a couple? Not really. But the way I see it, I think this book is more like an introductory read to the series, setting the scene and preparing book 2 that I’m sure will leave a more memorable impression on me.
The writing was solid yet I did have a few issues with it. Words like murmur and mumble were used way too many times I wondered if these characters whispered their way through the book. Also I wasn’t a fan of Rachel’s constant blushing (I lost count after the 20th blush used in the book) and her stubbornness grated on my nerves. These things were noticeable enough, and seriously did frustrate me, but I’m glad I pushed through to the final quarter of the book because this ending part was a solid 5 star read for me and what got me hooked onto the story.
From the very beginning it’s obvious that a relationship based on deception wasn’t going to end well and sure enough, things did blow up. However, this part of the plot progressed in a very believable, dramatic manner and had me really feeling for Rachel even though everything bad that did happen was a consequence of her choices.
I’m not even going to bother sugarcoating the ending for you – it ends with a big cliffhanger but you know what? I knew that and read it anyways and ended up loving the cliffy. Given everything Malcolm and Rachel had going on at that time, they needed a break. I needed a break. Plus, it ends on such a high note that the sequel promises to deliver a satisfying read full of healing and second chances, something that I’m eagerly looking forward to reading.
Manwhore is the first book in this series and isn’t a standalone. There’s a cliffhanger and the story will continue on with Manwhore +1.
P.S. I seriously wish there are chapters in Malcolm’s POV in the next book. I like heroes that have a coat of mystery around them but not much is learned about him here through Rachel’s eyes...

The protagonists have interesting and emotive back stories that are weaved intrinsically throughout the prose adding layers and depth to their personas and the story. Thus creating plausible motivation and emotion, two factors I hold in very high regard whilst reading a story. The dialogue as a whole is wonderfully executed, flowing authentically and adding to their characterization. Malcolm's short clipped answers, for example, give him an aura of power, making him seem formidable.

His fun personality and his charming charisma are exposed through his interaction with friends and his attention to Rachel but the only way to truly discover the man, Malcolm Saint, is to read Manwhore and immerse oneself in Malcolm's world. Experience and swoon over him.
Rachel doesn't wish to be one of his many, she's sensible about the expectations of a manwhore, in terms of her work and his lifestyle. However, ones heart doesn't always listen to sense. Heroines are often a little frustrating but in truth this is all an integral part of the angst, often pivotal to the inner turmoil that creates such beautiful and intense emotions. Rachel has oodles of inner conflict, she has decisions to make and fears to face along with her hopes and dreams of the future.
The story is, of course, as delightfully SEXY as the title suggests. Absolutely delicious in EVERY WAY!
I love the integration of the online world, the balance is perfect, as is the involvement of her friends. They add to the feel of the story, help it develop and move it interestingly forward.
Manwhore flows effortlessly through the mind, it's characters and premise combined with the prose and dialogue make it so very pleasurable to read. It gave me the book tingles especially when they it gets to my heart every time. The intimacy of caring for someone, holding them, loving them, making them feel safe, is so lovely. The tone of the push and pull of their relationship is styled to perfection, there's a slight lull in the middle but fear not it's momentary and this author delivers a rapturous story until the very end.
The ending! Of course it leaves you needing more which by definition is a cliff hanger but it felt so lovely, maybe I'm crazy but the anticipation of what may come, the angst, the I-can't-say-cause-I'll-spoil-the-story... I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, EVEN THE CLIFF HANGER This story made me feel good, what more can a romantic reader ask for?

Rachel as a new assignment: infiltrate in the life of Malcolm Sinclair and do an expose about him. She knows it’s the chance of her career so she immediately accepts: after all his one of the most powerful man in tow: young, sexy, billionaire… and manwhore extraordinaire.
But what begins as innocent interviews soon turns into something more and she quickly forgets that all started with work. And when Malcolm realizes that he wants Rachel for more than one night he starts one relentless pursuit after her.
Malcolm values trust more than anything, so what will happen when he’ll find out that all begin with a secret work proposal?
This as a hell of a ride!! There was some things that didn’t work for me in this book, that’s why the 4 star rating. Actually, the only thing that didn’t work out for me was the time the “secret” took to be exposed and the way it happened.
For the rest, this was a great book. It had some great angst (yes, the good kind one), steamy, romance, hotness and a sexual tension that Katy Evans can create way better than anyone else.
So if you want a book with a sexy hero, a steamy love story and well… and ending that will leave wanting to sell your soul to the devil for the next installment, this one is a good choice.

Characters Development: First, I know that the premise of this story is the fact that it all started with undercover work and I understood Rachel’s indecision: until a certain point. After that it was too much “back and forth” for me which made her annoying at my eyes. Malcolm, well… I really liked him. Yes, he had his asshole moments but I loved how relentless he was in his pursuit. He was sexy, mysterious and had some really sweet moments. I call DIBS!! (Back off, bitches!). They were some really nice supporting characters, but I didn’t like how her friends weren’t supportive AT ALL. (Although I let it slip because I know they did it out of concern.)

Rachel's intent on capturing his attention goes beyond just interviewing him. One thing she didn’t plan for was her feelings for him. The more she uncovers about WHO SAINT REALLY IS the harder she battles between her job and personal feelings. The integrity lines blur as she tries to come to terms with her emotions about outing Saint to the world.
Like, Ms. Evans, other books I’ve read Saint captures my full attention. He’s quite the alpha male…. like the heroine I wanted to get to know who he is. Ms. Evans does a great job writing intriguing male characters. To this day anytime I hear “Iris” by the GooGoo Dolls I automatically think of Remy from Real. I credit Ms. Evans writing skills for that association because I smile every time I hear it..

So I'm usually the type to stray away from the billionaire cum playboy genre but for some reason, this one just called out to me. Seeing the hype surrounding the read, I decided to try my luck with this one despite having not read anything from this author before.
The story starts off with Rachel, a journalist who just landed a chance to write an exposé that could launch her career. Her subject? Meet Malcolm Saint: Chicago's hottest player that has been making the headlines but despite being in the constant limelight, does anyone actually knows the real deal about him? The only way that Rachel can complete her assignment and keep her company afloat is to get close to Saint by any means possible.
In the beginning, this book pretty much gave me the FSoG vibes where innocent girl meets sexy billionaire for an interview and said girl pretty much have jelly legs or stumped beyond words after meeting him for the first time. My problem with this? I didn't find Saint to be all this jaw-droppingly sexy, confident man that would leave me fawning over him. That being said, I was left scratching my head at the idea of Rachel continuously lusting and mooning over his said sexiness. I probably lost count of the times Rachel kept going on and on about him that sadly, it rather made Saint's persona lost its appeal for me.
As a matter of fact, Saint wasn't as manwhore-ish as I thought he'd be either. I felt that I was being fed with the idea of him being one but there was barely anything that painted him in that light. On the contrary, I thought he was a sweet, caring guy once we got to know more about him. Perhaps it would have helped a lot more too if we got Saint's POV.
Another thing that really ticked me off is Rachel's constant blushing. Don't get me wrong, I do make exceptions for insta-lust if they're done right but the word 'blush' was used one too many times that it started becoming glaringly obvious before I even hit 25% of the read. It was literally in almost every scene that Rachel & Saint were in and I couldn't even ignore it even if I wanted to. Funnily enough, I thought it was quite comical that the heroine herself acknowledges her habit of blushing to the point where she had an argument with her bestie, Gina about whether she was blushing "orange like a carrot" or "at least cherry is a prettier shade of blush than freaking orange".
And don't even get me started on how much I wanted to slap Gina silly.
Although plot-wise where I could figured out how this would blow up in Rachel's face towards the end, I really enjoyed reading the last 30% of the book. In fact, I thought it was the most stellar part of the read and is worthy of almost 5 stars. I could only wished that I would have gotten those same feels throughout the book instead of right at the end.
Overall I didn't love this one but I didn't outright hate it either. The cliffhanger didn't bother too much since I went in prepared, so that really helped a lot. Although I didn't really buy the connection between these two for a good portion of the book, the final stretch may have convinced me otherwise and I'll be keen to see how they're gonna move past this in the second one.

The assignment? An exposé on Chicago’s hottest player, Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Such a prestigious name for a man who appears to be anything but.
He’s a collector, you could say. Of companies, toys, and, apparently, women.
Here’s a man whose reputation precededs him, incredibly successful and hugely popular Rachel needs to a) find a way in which she manages to, under the pretence of interviewing him about his next venture and b) keep his attention for long enough to dig up the dirt without falling for his charms.
Suffice to say she manages the latter appallingly, but what is surprising, is how deceptive his image of a manwhore is. In fact he is deeply passionate, a philanthropist at heart, a man who is seeking more than vacuous encounters and has a vulnerability that has you yearning to be the one to fill the void.
Too late in the game for me does Rachel’s conscious prick and we are left in a scene that begs to be completed before the next instalment. I enjoyed this immensely, from the sinner who was really a saint to the hilarious supporting characters who certainly need there own stories to be told. *cough* Gina and Tahoe *Cough*

One Sexy (Malcolm Saint) MANWHORE who is known for his ways with the ladies.... he is the new face of interface which is the competitor against Facebook, he is business and goal oriented he doesn't have time for relationships and strives to win one venture after the next concerning his career he is ruthless and the BEST.
Rachel is the reporter working for a paper which is loosing money and jobs and all who are concerned in her office are going to end jobless soon except Rachel's boss wants her to do one favour, which is to share the hidden the secrets of Saint himself get to know him seduce him and divulge his secrets to the world. She obviously takes the chance because this will solve all her problems and give her a future and make her career, this is no small scope this is the BIG BALLS
On the initial meeting there is no chemistry or interaction concerning them both I'd explain it much more of a slow burn they keep having meetings where she gets to question him about interface 'concerning' the article but eventually lines start to cross.
Over time Rachel seems to forget that she has a job to do and gets trapped into Manwhore's ways his appeal and his life, yet there is more to him and that is when things change.
Malcolm Saint is sexy and appealing in EVERYWAY I loved him, he is everything I could expect in an Multi Billionaire Male but there is also lots of secrets to unfold and some of those is that I personally felt he was more of Saint than a Manwhore but I also feel that this is the game that they're both playing?!! I truly believe though that this is just a set-up for Manwhore +1 as there is sooo much more to Malcolm what I really want to know and understand I suppose in the middle that is what I missed more was more about him and what he's going through, it would also be great to have some of his POV is the next one. I want to understand more about his MANWHORE ways cause I didn't feel that greatly here, he was nothing but gentle and caring and actually protective of Rachel but maybe he is playing her as much as she is playing him?

Ok I'm in the minority on this one. It started off nicely, Saint was the embodiment of the perfect alpha male, my heart did a flip when he called dibs. But there were too many things that bothered me about this story.
-The plot
-There's a lot of sexual frustration. After reading Real, I came to expect that kind of sexual tension from this author. And I don't mind it, but when the sex does happen it better be explosive and it wasn't that at all! When they did have sex it was meh for me.
-There was nothing much happening between 20%-85%. I seriously almost DNFed it.
-The heroines best friend was beyond annoying! She treated Rachel like a little child and it would've been nice if she stood up for herself.
-I really liked Saint. He's definitely swoon-worthy, but I wanted more sexiness from him and in all honesty he wasn't really much of a manwhore. He was actually really sweet and caring. I guess I had the wrong idea of him and I was thinking manwhore and I wanted more dirty talking, alpha billionaire, I get what I want screw everyone else, brooding type of guy.
-I don't mind a cliffy, but this one was unnecessary. This book was almost 300 pages, there was more than enough room to finish it up.
Even though I had my issues with this one I'm sure most of my friends will love it (especially if you're a fan of the Real series), and I think I would've liked it more if I had book 2 on standby. Now I understand why most of my friends hate cliffys! But overall I must say Saint is pretty hot, I just wish the story flowed better.

"Saint or Sinner?"
I don't think I was ever so excited to read a book!! I have read the synopsis and I was so intrigued that I pre-ordered the book and I was waiting patiently for it to come out!! Honestly I like the beginning but for some reason I was feeling that something was missing from the book and I haven't find yet what it was exactly but after 50% I started liking it even more!!
Rachel is a reporter who is going to investigate the Chicago playboy Malcom Saint for the magazine she is working for. What she didn't expect??? Is that Malcom isn't exactly what everybody said..Behind the sexy businessman and player there is a vulnerable man who Rachel slowly starts to have feelings for.Rachel is determined to keep things professional but can she??
I loved how their relationship developed and the sexual tension between them. Malcom is sexy and I could say a little cocky.I really like him!!I'm not sure how much I liked Rachel.Sometimes she annoyed me..and now that I'm thinking about it maybe she was my problem!I think Malcom saved the book!
I haven't read a lot of books from Katy so I can say this one was good!I loved her writing!It was romantic and hot! Looking forward to see what will happen in the second book!!

Don't be fooled by the seemingly simple blurb given for this book. If it sounds like something you've read before, think again. This one packs one hell of a punch-I was not expecting to get sucked into the whirlwind named Malcom Saint-but oh, how I did. And I loved every minute of it. Manwhore was yet another big hit for me in the past few weeks. I've had one of the most successful reading months that I can ever remember having. I have no idea how this is happening, but I'm just going to enjoy the ride while it lasts.
In my opinion, this is the best book from Katy Evans to date-by far. And to be honest, my expectations were not set high because I knew that this book would have a trope that I'm less than thrilled about. The heroine is a journalist who sets out to get an exposé on Chicago businessman Malcolm Saint. In the process, she connives her way into his inner circle in order to dig out all his secrets to expose.
What I don't like about this set up is that...
Number one: the heroine inevitably will fall for the hero, but their relationship is forged in lies.
Number two: the conflict is pretty much the same every time. The heroine gets found out and we all know what happens then.
But to my shock, I ended up completely devouring this book. All my normal issues didn't even make a blip on my enjoyment radar. Saint was the ultimate hero in my eyes, the author did an amazing job building his character into one that is sure to bring on an unending amount of heart pounding moments. He's one that will stand out and easily be memorable against the uncountable numbers before him.
Right from your first introduction to him, Katy Evans manages to suck you into his charismatic, mysterious, and dangerous spell. This is the type of man that people stand in awe of, a man that intimidates and puts fear in his opposition's eyes.
For a second I feel like the world moved faster, that somehow ten seconds were all crammed into the space of one-the one where this man went past me. Like a lightning bolt.
...Then it hits me.
That the storm was Malcom Saint.
Yes, the hurricane was Saint.
I feel a prick of dread.
Rachel goes into her assignment with a lot of naiveté and stubborn tenacity. In a way, I admired her courage to go up against such a man, on the other hand? All I could think was, this will NOT end well. Rachel was like a little lamb headed for slaughter and I couldn't look away. I was completely sunk-addicted to watching this couple's story and watching their incredible chemistry grow and unfurl.
The tension that was built between these two as they tried to resist one another was absolutely incredible. When I tell you that I was on edge for more than half of the book just waiting for the breaking point-you have no idea. Intense doesn't even cover these two.
"I can't breathe," I whisper, somehow easing my head back as he edges forward.
His eyes start fluttering closed, his eyelashes dark on his cheekbones as his lips come within a breath of mine.
"I don't want you to breathe."
Rachel knows getting involved with Saint would be professional and personal suicide. It was a train wreck waiting to happen-she'd lose her job, and her hopes for comfortably taking care of her mother's mounting medical bills. But most importantly, she'd lose the one man who's managed to make her want a future with.
Saint has always been Chicago's most unattainable manwhore and his trust is not something he gives out to just anyone. But not only does he let Rachel in, he opens his life to her in ways he never has before. And that hurt to think what was in store for him. The longer the book wore on, the more frustrated I got waiting for her to woman up and do the right thing by him. Although her intentions were good, she was making bad choices and all I could do was wait for the repercussions of her silence. In a way, I understood where she was coming from, but I couldn't help feeling she took stubborn to a whole new level.
If you're looking for a book that will keep you tense, restless, excited, and completely engrossed, this one's for you. This book intoxicated me and left me begging for more. I don't know if I can hold out until Manwhore +1.

I was so excited to start Manwhore. I love books about reformed or damaged men, so I assumed I would enjoy this one. HOWEVER, I never imagined I would love Malcolm Saint so much!
Rachel knows all about Malcolm Saint, it’s impossible to live in Chicago and not know the infamous billionaire. Despite knowing who Saint is she has never met him and never plans to, they have nothing in common. But when it comes to saving her job at Edge Magazine there isn’t much she won’t do, so when she is offered her big break she takes it. Her boss wants her to interview Saint, get the inside scoop on Chicago’s biggest manwhore.
Rachel has been waiting on this break and with magazine barely surviving they need this break. However, getting to Saint isn’t an easy task and he puts her through the ringer. Desperate and at a loss Rachel decides to try to get to Saint at a night club party. While it seems like a good idea and she has the best of intentions, things do not go according to plan.
Malcolm Saint is a force to be reckoned with and when you first meet him it’s easy to write him off as being just another self-centered egomaniac, but he is so much more. The more I got to know him and learned about his past the more I loved him. Malcolm is such a complex character. I loved his strength, determination and perseverance. I am a huge fan of overcoming your past, moving beyond your childhood and not making excuses. A lot would say the billionaire who came from a wealthy family had it all, but that isn’t the case. Having money isn’t everything. It would have been so easy for him to be less ambitious and live off of his father’s success, but that’s not Malcolm.
When Rachel meet’s Malcolm she is naturally attracted to him, but over time she also begins to see another side to him.
Rachel is a very cautious person. After her father was murdered for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, she constantly trying to make the right choices. I completely understood Rachel. I felt like her resistance wasn’t the typical wavering we see amongst heroines, her fear was completely justified. She is the type of person who is always thinking two steps ahead, trying to predict how her current actions will effect her. So when she meets Saint and he completely turns her world upside down she isn’t sure which way to go.
This story moves so quickly and I was hooked pretty quickly. I fell so hard for Saint that in the beginning I was frustrated with Rachel’s resistance. I told my bestie, I am such a book whore because I would never say “no”, but as I have thought about this story I can truly understand her. Saint is by far one of my favorite hero’s I have read this year. He is the perfect amount of sexy, damaged and charming.
Saint is momentum. Movement. He’s a man who’s always moving forward, pushing for more. He will never stand still until he owns the world, and I just want to find my place in it.
Rachel is strong, determined and driven, but she is also anxious and fearful. To me the combination was so realistic. I loved how she was with Saint. She was a realist and didn’t want to be romanced, but this is Saint we are talking about!
I highly recommend this story. It is fun and flirty, but has so much heart and depth. The story developed at a perfect pace and falling for the characters was pretty instant for me. I am so excited for this new series. As soon as finished I was immediately wanting more. I can’t wait to read Manwhore +1.

Pre-read: I told myself I wasn't going to read any of Evans' "Real" series because of issues, but I might try one book of hers on my own to see if at all her narration or anything with respect to her writing/plotting has improved.
We'll see. I'm not going into this with high expectations though.
Post read: So even with not going into this with high expectations, I was still very disappointed. Poor writing, juvenile presentation, threadbare characters, plodding pacing, predictable plot, and manipulative cliffhanger ending.
I can honestly say I didn't enjoy this at all.

This may be a quicker review to write than the time it took me to get through this book. I will at least give the book credit for having a decent audio narrator with Grace Grant. I've read a few audio narrations with Grant as the lead voice. She's fair with this performance; her narration did insert some signs of life into the narrative that I wouldn't have gotten if I'd read the print version. She's the only reason I'm giving this book even a fraction of a star.
Honestly, I don't understand the hype around Katy Evans's writing at all. Nothing about this was steamy or sexy to me. Nothing about it was even really worth writing home about. It's incredibly juvenile and everything about this book was just horrifically rambled and bland, leaving the experience for me an empty read.
The book isn't necessarily bad as far as the premise is concerned. If anything, probably the only thing that could be bad about the premise "in theory" is that it's predictable. A woman (Rachel Livingston) is asked to write an expose on a public figure (Malcolm Saint) who's considered to be a "manwhore" for her publication. I knew in a sense that this story would be a matter of me waiting for the other shoe to drop, so I decided to go along for the ride.
But all I got out of this were two lifeless characters who really had little to no flesh to pinch from them, mounds of infodumps defining their beings, and predictable scenarios from point one. Yes, Rachel shows up in unconventional clothing (she comes from a volunteer experience in paint covered overalls to meet with him in a very well-to-do business office) meeting Saint for a potential meeting to hook up with him, but really the only two things that are tying these two together are that they're unconventional for what they're used to. Saint's attracted to Rachel because she's the first woman that's not falling at his feet and having sex with him (except when she does) and Rachel's only attracted to him because "OMG, he's so hot - I can't stop thinking about his abs/muscles/insert body part here!" I can understand if some of that is part of the dialogue, but not when it's constantly repeated and nothing else is given to bring the appeal of either Saint or even Rachel's attraction to the other.
Where the heck were their personalities beyond the blushing girl and brooding, private businessman who had multiple "floozies" (and man, don't even get me started for how many times this word was used, or even the obvious slut shaming that came with this narrative, because you know every other woman is useless in the relationship with Saint except for the heroine - and that every other woman is the enemy including a co-worker that Rachel works with at her magazine)? I feel like this book was trying to convince me these characters were developed, but failed miserably. The bulk of this information was told, not shown. Despite the proposed sensual scenes and "hot" sex - there was no true intimacy here. No intimacy for the characters, no intimacy to the situations, just surface details and hyperbolic comparisons that were mostly in Rachel's head and presumptuous for the situation. I don't care how old Rachel is supposed to be, even with her naivete, the presentation of this was just too juvenile to work. Just because you have a juvenile character doesn't mean that the presentation should be lacking or completely absent for development.
The side characters aren't even interesting because they're simply used as background noise to justify doubts about the relationship coming together, between Gina's prejudiced justification of a previous relationship making Saint to be a bad deal (she doesn't know the dude and never really does through the narrative), and Saint's posse congratulating him on another potential conquest, another lay.
With that consideration, let's talk about how the title of this book is a completely misleading fabrication. You would think that with the title "Manwhore" this book might have something to offer as to what makes Saint the way he is and why he lives his lifestyle the way he does, maybe with Rachel observing his interactions and the way he changes from this to be with Rachel. But no, all we get are infodumps on his "tragic past" and his so called bad boy antics when really all we see of him is how he's different toward Rachel and her prejudiced assumptions over what he's doing when she's not with him. I felt cheated because it was no true coming to terms or showcase of change, just surface details, just as bad as the so called judgmental attitudes that surround Saint in the book in social media circles and beyond. And what good does that do? It doesn't develop the characters. It doesn't show them growing beyond perceptions. Heck, it doesn't even show how these two really came to bond with each other. It's empty, it's presumptuous, and honestly I'm a little more than fed up because I see this all too often in New Adult and erotic stories following the "bad boy billionaire trope."
The ending was the thing that made me really throw in the towel with this series, because it's really a non-ending. Nothing's resolved. You get to the point where the other shoe drops and there's some hint for a resolution, but then it's yanked out of your grasp just to lead into another book, to make you buy into another story, which it's hard to tell whether it'll really have another resolution or just drag out details just for the sake of promoting more drama between characters who are little more than surface cliches.
This reader is not going to be manipulated out of her time following what happens. Apart from the narration, I didn't like this at all, and it's not likely I'd pick up another one of Evans's works if the quality's just going to be like this.

The first thing I have to say about this book is... WHY HAS NO ONE COMPARED IT TO NEVER BEEN KISSED?!?! I'm seriously upset about this. It's like the smutty version of it, and it plays a huge part in why I loved it.
Rachel, our reporter, was just assigned her first big story... Malcom Saint. Rachel is shy, motivated, and definitely not ready for what's headed her way. Saint is powerful, womanizing, and not looking for commitment. When it came to these two I was expecting something very different. With Rachel I was expecting her to be a strong-sassy-powerhouse but when she turned out to be more the opposite, I won't lie I was a little sad. Thankfully, as the story went on I found myself slowly liking her more and more. The last very chapters however she completely won me over. Malcolm however was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was worried that with him we were going to get a mix of Gabe Hamilton from Rush with Mr. Grey from 50 Shades... I prayed for it to lean more towards Rush. Turns out he wasn't either. He was so freaking sweet! The one thing I usually (almost always) hate in NA books involving "womanizing" men are there are a lot of times the guy does a bunch of slutty acts leading up to being with the girl. I almost always want them to leave out all the other ladies and just focus on the two that are really involved. Thank the book godz that's what Evans' did. These two were such an adorable pairing. They had me laughing and lusting.
Manwhore's plot is like I said above, a lot like Never Been Kissed. Reporter girl goes undercover, adorable meet-cute happens, boy falls for girl, girl falls for boy, shenanigans happen, and of course lies are uncovered. Just throw in some smutty fun times and wham you have Manwhore. The pacing of this book is what has me lowering my rating some. The first part of this book is all about adorable build up and fun run ins. It completely hooked me. The middle (through hot) does slow down some. The romance scenes are well written and enjoyable, but there were moments that kind of threw me off. Actually only one. A scene involving a bet on cars. The scene just didn't do it for me. Remember reading it and actually saying "uhh yeah... NO''. I just really felt that something was missing from the middle... Can't exactly put my finger on what though. Adorable dates- check. Sweet scenes with guy friends- check. Steamy moments that make you blush- check. Seriously have no clue what it is. The end of this book though... OMG!!! CLIFFHANGER!!!! Few NA books pull off cliffhangers well, but this one knocks it out of the park. *Minor spoiler* *that really isn't a spoiler* Clearly at some point in time we know that Saint is going to figure out that Rachel's big story is him... And will of course be heartbroken, but I had no idea that Evans' would leave the book off where she did. I really felt the same way reading this as I did watching the movie. You know at the end of NBK how she's standing on the pitchers mound, the clocks running out, the crowds cheering, and we are all on the edge of our seats waiting for Mr. Coulson to come and kiss the crap out of Josie Grossie!!! Well it has the same feel! You can barely breath waiting to see what will happen! How will she end this?!?! Then Evans' drops a cliff hanging bomb on us, and our hearts our shattered. Trust me it didn't end how you're probably thinking or how I imagined it would either. I need book two like yesterday!
The beginning of this book was awesome, the middle okay, and the ending wont lie had me misty eyed. Manwhore has a beautiful cover, a stupid title, and is 100% one of those good time reads. Really looking forward to adding other books from Evans to my TBR list.
The first thing I have to say about this book is... WHY HAS NO ONE COMPARED IT TO NEVER BEEN KISSED?!?! I'm seriously upset about this. It's like the smutty version of it, and it plays a huge part in why I loved it.
Rachel, our reporter, was just assigned her first big story... Malcom Saint. Rachel is shy, motivated, and definitely not ready for what's headed her way. Saint is powerful, womanizing, and not looking for commitment. When it came to these two I was expecting something very different. With Rachel I was expecting her to be a strong-sassy-powerhouse but when she turned out to be more the opposite, I won't lie I was a little sad. Thankfully, as the story went on I found myself slowly liking her more and more. The last very chapters however she completely won me over. Malcolm however was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was worried that with him we were going to get a mix of Gabe Hamilton from Rush with Mr. Grey from 50 Shades... I prayed for it to lean more towards Rush. Turns out he wasn't either. He was so freaking sweet! I have to start this review by saying that I love Katy Evans to death and her Real series are one of my favorite series but this book just didn't do it for me.
I can't give you a strong and specific reason for not loving this novel and for that I urge you to read this book and don't take into consideration my review.
I found the main female character to be too in her head, there was just too much internal dialogue for my taste. She was so conflicted and bipolar I felt I could just strangle her sometimes. I didn't think she was strong but actually very week, hiding behind stuff that didn't even happen to her and trying to justify her actions (or better yet, lack of them) with things that didn't even make sense (like the fact that writing ONE article could make her instantly rich and she would be able to buy her mother a house...Hello??? Things don't work out that way!!)
He was supposed to be a MANWHORE but I didn't see a lot of "manwhoreing"...furthermore he seamed very detached and weird sometimes but even so I liked him more then I liked her...and not just for his good looks :P
I felt the pace of the book was very slow and there where times when I just had to skip ahead. I mean, after reading 4 pages of how they where kissing each other I was ready to fall asleep.
Fair warning: this book ends with a cliffhanger and the next book is going to come out at the beginning of July. So if you aren't a cliffy fan then you would better wait a little bit more.

As much as I love the Real series, I’m beyond and excited to read something new from Katy Evans. Manwhore hit my expectations and much more.
And the story…
Malcom Saint is rich, sexy and a complete manwhore.
He’s not hearts or flowers, but so swoon worthy.
Rachel is a reporter at Edge. She is hired to write a piece on Malcom. Her boss wants Rachel to expose Malcom.
Rachel must get close to Malcom.
My emotions…
It’s a fairly simple storyline and I really like that. I usually don’t like stories where there’s a lingering secret, Rachel writing a story on Malcom, but that’s not really the story. It’s there, but it’s not the main focus. Also, Malcom is aware that Rachel is a reporter.
The true star of the book is Malcom. That’s the thing about Katy Evan’s books, she writes some awesome Heroes. Malcom is a party guy, he drinks, he has sex and he’s very open about it. His life is posted on Facebook, twitter and all the social forums.
I like how gritty Malcom is. I like that he doesn’t fall head over heels with Rachel. He is attracted to Rachel and wants to date her.
Rachel wants to get to close to Malcom but as a professional reporter. She doesn’t want to be that girl. The girl who gets lost in her assignments and risk everything for a guy. She’s use to being abandoned and doesn’t want to feel that again.
Rachel is very strong on her feelings and it creates this nice tension. It kept me glued to the pages and I couldn’t get enough.
Don’t worry, there’s steam, and it doesn’t disappoint.
I also liked the side characters, Rachel’s friend adds more tension and Malcolm’s friends are so funny. I hope they have a book too (please!).
Overall, the storyline, pace and characters just hit the mark for me. You will love Mr. Saint, you will root for Rachel and you will be dying for the next book.

it's a cute love story,Fun and clever ! but everything was so predictable , i mean she was assigned to investigate and reveal his elusive personality "dig up scandal' and write an artice to expose him, it was just a matter of time before everything blows up in her face, the part where she sent her mom a dirty text message instead of Malcolm was so funny, i found myself smiling like an idiot !

I seriously don't know how to express how I enjoyed this book. I could not say it's perfect, but I definitely could say it's a guilty-pleasure book and it's one helluvah page-turner!
I love the undeniable chemistry between the main characters Malcom Saint and Rachel Livingston. They really make a perfect and interesting couple. The character of Malcolm is apparently one big cliche (a tall, hot, billionaire, manwhore) but man, I could not deny that I love these kinds of characters (lol) no matter how they fell so unrealistic. Rachel is an okay character but there are times when she annnoys me. Nevertheless I was able to tolerate her attitude because it's understandable. She came from a broken family and she has trust issues.
The romance is definitely HOT. I'm not even kidding! There were steamy scenes and they are a lot.
But of course the sexy scenes equal the extrimity of romance. There is a love story and the characters did not only have pure lust. The emotions were apparent and it's one of the reasons why I was hooked. Unfortunately the plot felt a bit unoriginal because it gave me the feeling that I was reading Judith McNaught's contemporary romance book Double Standards. But I've read the said book several years ago, so reading this felt like bringing the feels back into my system again.
"All those great romances, they're not planned, they just happen."
Manwhore is also entertaining because there is humor in the author's way of writing. Rachel's POV, in some way, also reminds of Caroline's POV in Wallbanger. So naughty and funny! :D
As a whole, this book is great. A typical New Adult book that will surely entice romance readers. I love it! The ending was a cliffhanger, though. But I'm glad the second book is already out so I'll definitely grab it! :)

This assignment not only will make her career, but it will save “Edge”, the magazine where she works as well. So, in order to write the exposé she will have to interview Saint, but also she will have to compromise morals if the situation requires it.
Rachel meets Saint, pretending she’s interested to write about “his rising new star”, 'Interface', a competitor against Facebook.
At twenty-seven, Malcom Saint is successful, he’s an absolute symbol of power, he's classy, sophisticated and he’s the man every woman wants. Rachel never expected to be so drawn to this enigmatic billionaire. He’s arrogant and intense, electric and consuming and he seems intrigued by Rachel as she is with him.
Rachel and Malcolm get to know each other better and Rachel is more than surprised to discover there’s more to Malcom Saint then what meets the eye. He’s sweet and protective, caring and attentive and she’s torn between her job and the feelings she seems to develop for this intriguing billionaire. Malcolm is a powerful man in every way. He’s a man used to getting what he wants and he wants Rachel no matter what.
First and foremost, in my opinion, the title - 'Manwhore' - is not the perfect title for this book. Malcolm Saint was not portrayed as a manwhore enough to be named a manwhore. He has a reputation as a manwhore and that's it! Maybe I would have buy it is the story would have been written in dual POV. I really, really would have liked to know what Malcolm was thinking in some situations. I’m a sucker for dual POV, which in my perspective makes the story more interesting to say the least.
I’m glad to say this story surprised me in a very good way! Why? Because despite the fact the male main character is a very rich man, “Manwhore” is not the typical billionaire story. The storyline was interesting enough for me, enough because it didn’t held my attention too much. It goes without saying there were some parts where I was a little bored because I thought the story dragged a little.
I liked both Rachel and Malcolm and I enjoyed the fact both of them have an interesting background. I found Malcolm’s character more developed and more intriguing than Rachel’s. Malcolm is an enigmatic man. He’s intense. He’s charismatic. He’s sweet and gentle. And he’s totally an alpha male. But even if he’s an alpha, he’s not controlling psycho. At all. He’s also really patient with Rachel. So, I truly enjoyed this side of him. Rachel was great as well. I liked her determination and I admired her strength. Despite the fact she’s young she’s not (very) naïve. I think her internal conflict is well done and I understood her and felt for her. The sexy steamy scenes are hot and I loved the teasing between these two. It was terrific and very entertaining.
I enjoyed some interactions between them, but I can’t say I felt they connection/chemistry...too much. Since this aspect is important for me as a reader, it really affected my rating.
Another aspect of the story that didn’t sit well with me has Rachel’s blushing. Her blushing is mentioned 46 times. I repeat - 46!!! Needless to say, she blushes a lot. Oh my Gawd...she's worse than a nun.Gah!

Manwhore is a steamy modern romance. I am a huge fan of Evans REAL series and was truly excited to take on Saint! I found Manwhore to be completely different from any of her previous work.
Rachel is a good girl working as a writer at Edge a struggling magazine. She is called into her boss’ office and given the assignment of a lifetime. Get close to Malcolm Saint and write and expose on him.
"Rachel: you must try to get close. Lie, little white lies. Ease into his world. Saint isn’t an easy man to access, which is why nobody’s been able to figure it out."
Malcolm Saint has a reputation for being a womanizer, millionaire, business guru, and the ultimate bachelor.
Everyone wants to know....
"Malcolm Saint: Our Favorite Bad Boy, Revealed How many women has he slept with? Why isn’t he interested in marriage? How he became America’s hottest manwhore bachelor."
Using the “cover” that she is writing a piece on one of his current business ventures, Rachel is able to wiggle her way in for an interview.
Rachel is obviously attracted to Saint. Saint takes her breath away. After a few interviews, the two are lip locked and then they cannot stay away.

The feelings between the two continue to develop past the physical. Saint has an undeniable ability to unlock Rachel's soul. She feels things she has never felt before. She is undeniable tortured. She wants to let Saint in but she knows it is wrong. Saint doesn't give up on his pursuit of Rachel.

After she pushes him away, she pulls him right back him. As she pursues Saint, she realizes he isn’t the womanizing “man whore” that everyone thinks he is. She begins to waver on her commitment to writing the piece. Saint begins to reveal himself to her and she is completely overcome with emotions. Can she truly give up her career for love?

Ms. Evans is a genius with the text and her character development is strong. I felt like I had a clear understanding of both Rachel and Saint. Interestingly enough, I felt compassion and care for Saint. I did not feel that it was established that he was a “manwhore” at all. Instead, I felt like he was a sweet and mysterious. I really liked his best friends as well! As he pursues Rachel, your heart is breaking because you know that she is going to continue to lead him on just so that she can get the story. Truth be told, I didn’t care for Rachel because page after page I lost more respect for her. When the whole thing comes to an end, I didn’t feel any concern for her because of the choices that she made. Another big hinderence to enjoying this read was Rachel’s best friends. I was taken aback by how many times they tried to pull her away from Saint. It left me wondering if Rachel was actually in high school and not a full blown professional business woman.
Generally speaking, I enjoy a read with a central plot with many secondary stories to be discovered. This read has one plot line and it is explored at length. At times, it was quite repetitive! Although the characters had depth, it was exhausting watching this unfold. Like a car accident that you can't take your eyes away.
Will I read the next one? OF COURSE! How can I not? That cliffhanger is a killer. After you have endured every page of the angst, your heart needs closure. My only hope for the next book is that Rachel redeems herself and the two find away back together. I certainly have high hopes for HEA for these two.

Manwhore is a steamy modern romance. I am a huge fan of Evans REAL series and was truly excited to take on Saint! I found Manwhore to be completely different from any of her previous work.
Rachel is a good girl working as a writer at Edge a struggling magazine. She is called into her boss’ office and given the assignment of a lifetime. Get close to Malcolm Saint and write and expose on him.

Malcolm Saint has a reputation for being a womanizer, millionaire, business guru, and the ultimate bachelor.

What an awesome book this was, I'm totally in love!!! Manwhore was such a fun and sexy story, one that I was barely able put down, for one second. Just terrific!!!

Malcolm is a man that gets what he wants, he doesn't denied himself of anything and he is very intrigued with the reporter that keeps hounding him for an interview. From the first five minutes he spends with her, he knew there was something especial about her and he simply can't stay away from her.
Turns out that Malcolm is not what Rachel expected, he's sweet and caring and absolutely romantic. She's didn't know how lost she was until he found her but when she finally realizes that she wants a world of things that she didn't even knew existed and she wants them with him, the reality of her deception will threaten to destroyed her dreams before they can even begin.
The more I read the more I craved Saint and his delicious ways, Rachel is a pretty cool heroine too and together they make a wonderful couple. I loved everything about this book and I can't wait to read more. On to the next book...
