Leah

Cruel? Torturous? How else could I explain falling in love with Leo Williams.
The guy I thought I knew, tore me to shreds, and left nothing but an empty soul behind.
Just when it’s finally safe to breathe without a thought of him,
Just when my life no longer revolves around him,
He comes storming back into it like a hurricane,
Tearing down every wall I’d built.
But this time, my heart isn’t his for the taking.

Leo
She’s my world, my axis,
Everything I am revolves around her,
Every thought, every breath, every fucking time I close my eyes it’s her I see,
But I crushed her and she’s no longer mine
I have no-one to blame for that but myself
I screwed up once and she slipped through my fingers,
I was not about to let that happen twice.

A debut novel by Jo-Anne Joseph brings a story of seemingly unlikely lovers...as it proves for Leah & Leo not to have a good timing of their love flourishing in fine pace for one another...

Firstly, they are both from different sides of tracks, so to speak, Leo cominf from.a dysfunctional family makes him sort of a recluse and a broody, dark, apprehensive type and Leah is this, bright, vivid somewhat naive and immature young girl with feelings yet to acknowledge and discovered...

Their recognition is intense and somewhat abrubt but the misunderstanding and miscommunication tears young lovers apart for 11 years...

When they meet again at the same event gathering, they are formed into personalities that they each kind of regret of becoming...but the fact stays that they bith moved on...or well trying to, but not really reaching their full potential emotionally...

They lead separate lives and when the misfortunate occurence and falldown of betrayal in Leah's life, she seeks comfort in Leo...

As a second chance at love gives them hope and strength to carry on inspite the hurt and pain...

and just when they do get the chance to embrace the life and love's full potential, fate plays out its own game and takes the needed time from them... *sigh*

❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄

I'm always excited to meet a new author through her/his work... and this author really shows potential with her writing style.

The story was easy to read and the emotional segments were powerful and they will hit the right spot, no doubt about it...yet, there were also segments in the unraveling of the actual story-telling process that had more of the re-telling than actually portraying the emotions in description especially in the first part of the story hence the emotional turmoil and push and pull between the characters seemed a bit heisty and instant therefore not really giving the reader a chance to "feel" it for him/herself...

but as the story progresses, this emotional aspect is growing in its intensity and it does reach its full potential with the very ending...

Another little thing has come to my attention as well, and that is a small notion of depicting the "unrevealed" or "unsaid" statements of the characters' state of mind, body and soul...having it all presented as a bit unclear as the plot progresses leaving the reader slightly confused and in wonder of 'the actual, real' fact revolving...

but nevertheless, the revelation does appear in the futher story telling but in my humble opinion, it would have made a greater impact on a reader if he/she didnt have to dwell upon it...

Hence my conclusion of having high expectations from this author with her future work as i'm sure she will in fact have the writing force polished in finesse as her work progresses in flourish...

So keep on writing Jo!

*fingers crossed*

INFINITY is a wonderful debut about second chances, loyalty, heartbreak, loss and hope. Ms. Joseph is a new author to me and I didn’t know what to expect. The plot was engaging. The characters, at times, were so stubborn I wanted shake them. There were several twists and turns that surprised me and it’s rare for me to be surprised. I found myself wide-eyed with shock at some of the turn of events. My jaw was practically on the floor when secrets were revealed. Later on, I was in tears, caring for two characters I had only known for a few hours. Ms. Joseph took a difficult subject and handled it beautifully.

LEAH
I’d known him my whole life, but I never expected to fall in love with him.
I did. Deeply and irrevocably.
It was both the worst and best decision of my life.
He gave me no choice, but to walk away.
I spent my life since justifying it with being immature.
But I knew it was all a lie
When he re-entered my life by chance I thought fate was playing a cruel joke.
He saved me.
He destroyed me.
But he unknowingly revived me.

LEO
Falling in love with her was never in my plan.
I had plans, big ones, but she became my only focus.
I lost her and along with her my willingness to love and be loved.
I swore I’d never again give my heart to anyone.
When we’re thrown together, I know karma is messing with me.
But when I laid my eyes on her again, all I wanted to do was give.
I wanted to give so much more than I had to offer.

This is an ARC review of the book so anything I may cover in this review could have changed before release.

First things first. I am in tears. Jo-Anne Joseph has hit me in the feels.

At first I struggled to get through the book (which is why it took me so long) because teenage Leah and I didn't connect. She didn't seem like a real teenager to me and she was a bit too angsty. A teen can be mentally mature beyond their years, but they are still a teenager and will still act like one. Puberty man. Puberty.

However, due to the beginning of the book, I knew I would like adult Leah. She fit her age and her character developed well. Leo was a great character and holy crap did he break my heart. I was afraid to finish the book because I knew I was going to cry. Like the emotions hit me near the end and rushed together all at once. I wasn't ready. I wasn't prepared but that was okay because this book made me feel and any book that makes me feel raw emotion deserves stars in my book.

Yall. I'm emotional for real right now.

Very Emotional story.  Leah & Leo are not your normal best friend's little sister union.  This is a story of how a first love can stand the tests of time, even through distance and space.  There is so much I wish I could say, but it'll give the story away.

So I'll just say this...I sat for four and a half hours nonstop reading this heart wrenching story.  As sleepy as I was, I could not stop reading.  There are some books where you can stop and come back to later and this, for me, is not one of them.  The characters are easy to relate to.  The story line flows well, is believable and will have you rooting for the main characters throughout.  I cried myself awake, yes awake.  Definite must read by a new to me Author.  Great Debut!

This book is so beautifully written. The story between Leah and Leo is amazing. At first I did not like Leah. Leo was her saviour but she never wanted to see it. So many times I wanted to smack her upside her head. Leo is a tortured soul. You can only hear the negative so many times before you believe it. But everything always works out how it was supposed to. This is not a traditional HEA. But Jo-Anne is such a talented writer that she brought it all together the way it was supposed to be. Do not miss this book. I highly recommend this book but have tissues ready.

I love this book! It is wonderfully written and absolutely beautiful! Full of literary fiction, it brings a new twist to the world of romance that this book boasts! It is a must read, about hope and redemption!
You have Leah who has loved her brother’s best friend since before she understood those feelings. Then there is Leo, the best friend who practically lived with Leah and her family.
Fast forward many years, after a large misunderstanding and Leah is now married to her high school boyfriend. They are complacent in their life together but she also feels she is not his priority. When a car accident leads to Leah and Leo being reunited, that is when old feelings begin to surface again. When a deep secret rocks Leah’s marriage, she is devastated and turns to Leo. This is when she realizes her feelings for him never truly went away. When her marriage is truly over, Leo is there to help her back on track. Leo too is keeping a secret from Leah, one that might just undo her!

The debut novel "Infinity" had all the right elements I was looking for in a romance story; unexpected love, anger, sexual tension, young love, mature love, devastation... I think you get the picture!!! It takes you on a beautiful journey from the first spark to the brilliant flames and finally to the bold hot coals that love develops into. I believe every love story can teach us something of value, and despite this novel making you feel anxious to not take love for granted, it teaches you that we have the opportunity to cherish the time given to us, and decide what to do with that love. I recommend this book to anyone who loves Love, it will not disappoint... But as many have said, you may need a few tissues!!!

I was spellbound by this story. This will not be your typical HEA but you will love it still. It takes you on a journey that was so beautifully written that you cannot put the book down. The chemistry between the main characters is explosive and heart melting. I wanted to go right into the pages and be in the story to see it for myself. Jo-Anne Joseph will be an author to watch because if her next books are this amazing she will be a bestseller before she knows it. Romantically beautiful, enchanting, emotional, heart melting, gut wrenching, ugly cry worthy, smartly unique, these are only a few of the things that I can say. Take the journey with her characters but be prepared with tissues. I can't wait to see where Jo-Anne leads these characters. I was addicted at the word go. Take a chance on this author folks she will captivate you like no other.

This book caught me up and lead me through such a gamut of emotions that, come the end, I had to sit quietly and absorb what I had read. The relationship between Leah and Leo is intense and has suffered set backs and some turmoil. The descriptions of the emotions suffered by them are so intense that my heart was hammering at times. In this sense, this book has it all. Love, angst, deep sorrow, hope are just some.
As a debut novel this is such a good one. Even though Jo-Anne wrung out my heart, I will be looking for more of her work in the future. Well.done x

Leo and Leah!! This book is about first love and loss. We have all been there! The story of Leo, who rose above his circumstances to be the best man he could be and Leah, whose one true love was Leo! Together they were unstoppable and could rule the world, apart they just existed !
This is a debut book by this author and let me say she is off to an amazing start. I laughed and cried and threw things against the wall long after the book was done ! I cannot wait for her next book !

Joanne Joseph’s debut contemporary romance novel ‘Infinity’ was, for me, an emotional rollercoaster. A ‘ride’ which I highly recommend to those that enjoy stories filled with drama, suspense and passion.

The story was engaging and I found myself drawn into Leah and Leo’s world, hoping that they would be blessed with their happily ever after.

This is a story of love, stubbornness, obstacles and destiny.

You will laugh, you will cry and you will be left with a feeling of gratefulness for every precious moment in your life.

Infinity: boundless, endless, eternal, never ending, limitless, and vastness. These are all words used to describe the word infinity. When we think of infinity it sounds all good but like every coin there are two sides. Infinite love, all encompassing, love with all it’s ups, also has downs.
Infinite love is love you really have no control over because it is beyond reason.
This story is about that type of love, in all variations This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster. It takes you up to the apex of love and then at times crashes you to the depths of hell.

Now you may think wow she didn’t like this book. No, I actually enjoyed it very much. I had to step back from it at times and ponder what I read cause it touched me due to the realism of feelings. See life is not one thing, it’s happy, sad, monotonous, awful at times, and can bring you life and feelings you never had before. One minute you’re going along just fine and the next you’re experiencing something in total contrast to that feeling it also works in the reverse. That is one of the ways to interpret the phrase, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans.” This story pretty much wraps that phrase up in a great big bow and presents that package to you.

This book has plenty of angst, happy moments, intrigue, sweetness, and feels. The feels, so to speak, were never over the top. In fact they were more implied than in their description, never over the top graphic. When a book can give you that awww moment in the pit of your stomach or connect to that moment that’s a good thing.

There is a part of the story the author nailed. I don’t want to spoil it. However, any mother who wants their child (children) knows that there is infinite, eternal, all encompassing love no matter what the circumstances. It is for always, in other words, for infinity. You never lose that love no matter what the circumstances or how long you have with your children. This is a subject I am well versed in so it’s not just an opinion of what I think it would be like. I live it, like so many other mothers.

Infinite love can be beautiful, horrid, messy, gut wrenching at times, torrid, sweet and the worst and best feeling you ever experienced. Infinite love isn’t relegated to just men and women it can be anyone, family, friends, or species that touches your soul. This author was able to connect with this emotion on several levels in her book. The whole reason this book is titled “Infinity.”
I would’ve liked a little more detail at certain intervals of the book to fill in timelines but maybe that’s just cause I’m nosy. It didn’t hurt the story. The book moved along at a good pace.

This book can certainly be read as a standalone. However, I’m almost certain there will be another book coming.

So if your in the mood for an emotional challenge and have your soul touched as well as your heart read Infinity.

This is a very heartfelt story about young love, lost love and a second chance love. Can you know at a very young age that you have met your one and only? Well, Leah Jones thought she would always have a thing for her brother best friend, but he was older than her and never took any notice of the little girl she way.
Leo did not have a great family life but what he did have was is great best friend’s family. Leo returns to town to start a new job and a new life but waiting for his house to be ready to live in he moves into the Jones house. The welcome from Leah was not a friendly one and he didn’t understand why?

This story has many twists and turns most you will not see coming but one or two you might. I found it a very moving emotional story of love, loss, and destiny. This is the first book by this author that I have read and I totally enjoyed her writing style and her wonderful characters that were very relatable to normal life and emotions. I would highly recommend this book and author to anyone that likes some great depth to there reading.

Leah always had her eye on Leo, and after years of teasing from him, he's moved away and she's moved on. But now he's back in town, staying with her family until his house is finished. Leah couldn't be more put out at his intrusion in her life. She has a boyfriend and she has no interest in the bad guy that was the center of town gossip. Except his eyes, they draw her in, and the more she spends time with him, the more she wants to be with him. But cruel fate loves to play her hand, and they are pulled apart once more. Leah marries her boyfriend from high school and Leo moves on to become the complete oppositive of his past. But will fate bring them back together again, even after all of these years? And if she does play her hand, can it last?
This is my first book by author Joseph and I absolutely loved it. It transitions from the past to present smoothly. Her characters are well defined, and her writing style is unique, filled with beautiful quotes. I think my favorite was "That is the thing about memories, it weaves its web into your consciousness and refuses to let go." Infinity is fun, romantic, and tear-inducing, so bring tissues.

Grab the tissues. Infinity is such an amazing story of emotion and heart. The main characters are such beautiful souls. Leah falls in love at a young age with her soulmate. She doesn’t even realize it has happened but instead merely thinks his love is not of great importance. She endeavors so much and it is truly heart wrenching the struggles she endows but tries to hide to save others from the heart breaks too. Leo thinks he’s never good enough but doesn’t realize until it’s too late that for her he’s more than enough. They long journey apart and than to meet up and the sparks are as tho they never were apart is breathtaking. I love this book! I love these characters! I love their love story. And to be honest I am glad to know that we will be able to see more of her and her adapting to life without him but her endless love still for him! Thank you for this opportunity to get to know Leah and Leo!! I’ve enjoyed her Infinity, Now to see her Destiny!!

Leo is best friends with Kevin, Leah's brother. While he has had a pretty rough existence, he has always had his friends' family to rely on. Now he is coming to stay with them while he fixes his home up enough to move in.

Leah has been kind of stalker-like throughout their childhood. She has always been attracted to his dimples from a distance. Now he will be living in her home - meaning up close and personal. Is this a sign, or a sentence?

While this feels to some extent like a coming of age novel, there is a true element within of real love and how it stands the test of time. I had moments where I wanted to scream, but each page definitely gave me feels - one way, or another. These characters were a good example of why I read romance. Love exists, and comes to those who wait.

If it was possible to give a book more than five stars, this would be the book. From the very beginning I was hooked. This is a story about two people, Leah & Leo. They met when teenagers. There was always a spark between them but one day that spark was put out and they both went on with their lives, separately. Years later they meet up again and that spark is still there, but is it too late? Has too much time passed? You will need to read this book to find out. I laughed and cried throughout this book and didn't want it to end. This is a truly enjoyable book and I highly recommend it.

This is a well written beautifully touching love story. It has many uncanny resemblance to my own life which made if difficult to read as well as emotional. I too had a great love which lasted for 12 years, almost 4 of which we were married. My husband started havinv seizures when was 6 months pregnant. My husband died of a brain tumor less than 1 yr from diagnosis, when our son was only 8 months old. My son has his father's name as well as so many of his qualities. My son is 16 yrs old now and I live my life for him. I'm still single and miss my husband every day.
