WOW what a story!!
I absolutely love this book! What an incredible retelling of a classic fairytale. This was such a great spin on the tale of Cinderella, with magical powers set in a modern day world. I loved the first person perspective it was told in, and the romance was toe-curling and wonderful. It's actually a YA book. Can't wait to read the next book!!!!!

Gabriella panics when her hand is in flames, little does she know that moment will change her life. The girl who grew up in an uncaring home has more to her than expected.
This was fun but I had a hard time with some of the names in the book. Hal Charm was one of them, it was cute but I got distracted a bit by the names. Overall if you like retellings of fairy tales this one is a bit different take on Cinderella story and is entertaining.

I absolutley love this book. I love fairy tale rewrites and this one does NOT disappoint. Now, I admit I read this before it came out as a beta read. Seriously better the second time than the first. It is geared for a younger audience and I guess i'm young at heart. Great job and intriquing twist on this fairy tale. Not a bad hero either. Loved it!

Intriguing
Very creative storyline. I love the concept of fairytale meet superhero meet high school.
I don't like personality extremes. I feel her stepmother was too much. Do we really see group homes as worse than constant emotional home abuse? I'd rather get out than deal with that type of home life. It was hard to accept, unless she has a greater role to play in the fairytale story.
It is a great setup for the characters, but I didn't feel like it was leading to a clear series climax. I don't understand why she has these abilities and what her greater purpose is. I prefer series that give his type of information in the first book instead of hinting at something but not actually making the reader aware until several books later.
But I am intrigued with the story and I'd love to see the characters again. I'm also interested to learn more about others with the spark.

Great teen read!
This is a cute story. Perfect for a YA audience. Adults might find the protagonist whiny. There were a lot of aspects about the story I enjoyed, and I couldn't quite place all the modern aspects into the Cinderella story, but that kept me guessing, which was good. The story had a great supernatural twist wth Gabbie's abilities. The only thing I didn't like, but ends up being necessary in stories where powers emerge, are training sessions. I don't care about how the hero develops the powers, I just want to get on with the story. I did feel as if some of the stepcharacters came right from Ever After or every other Cinderella story.
But despite all my qualms, I know teens and preteens will love this story.
The grammar isn't perfect, but it didn't detract from the story.

Supergirl meets Cinderella
If you like your classics with a little kick (which I do) then you are going to love this classic retelling. It started off with a bang and didn't stop until the last words were written. It kept me on my toes from page one and I couldn't put it down until it was finished. Now I want more so I am on to the next book in this series. I can't wait to see how this one goes.

I love modern versions of classic fairytales and this was such a fun take on it! I was rooting for Gabbie and Hal the entire time and was hoping it would work out (I mean, it's Cinderella, it has to work out in the end, right?). It was a great twist that she knew she was "Cinderella" and yet still didn't have all the answers. She developed and grew as a person and superhero, and stilled stayed true to the good person she was before. A fantastic retelling and wonderfully woven story!

Cinder Heart is a wonderful take on the Cinderella fairytale. Amy Linnabary does a fantastic job expressing each character's personality. I hated some characters with a passion! I loved and admired others. I just wish I would have read this sooner. Of course now, I have to wait for the next book in the series. Whatever am I to do until then? LoL. I cannot recommend Cinder Heart enough for you to read.

Cinderella
Interesting take on the Cinderella story. It's heroine is supposed to be a spitfire with super powers but comes off as rather lame. The storyline was very predictable with the exception of the wicked stepsisters. The story felt like something was missing when it came to the magical adults. It has been done better.

I got the book free from the author, and was skeptical about reading another fairytale remake. However I was very surprised at how good it was! I did feel it ended very abruptly, but it kept my attention and I will read more of her books when they come out!

Fun
Really fun! Love Cinderella with superpowers, even if they are terrifying. Who loses the shoe? And girl has mad rescue skills.

I liked the idea of modern fairytales and the powers. There were a few clever twists that I enjoyed and it was a nice, clean novel.
I just wasn’t connecting as much to the character and the conflict as I would like. Even though it’s kinda cool that she has these powers, there didn’t seem to be much point to them. The love interest didn’t impress me. It was just . . . okay the whole way through. Nothing terrible, but nothing I loved either.
I probably won’t continue this series, but might read something else from this author if the premise is something that interests me.

Loved the book.
Such a good story. I thought I would get bored with the Cinderella theme, but I didn't. Couldn't wait to finish the book. Can't wait for her next book to come out. I am hooked!

Quirky and fun!
A quick, fun read with enjoyable characters. Clean for preteens and is a good introduction to a chapter novel for early middle grades.

Cinder Heart is the first installment from The Fairytale Prophecies series. I have to say this is on eof the best modern day Cinderella retellings I have read to date. A fun, delightful and magical story. Looking forward to see what happens in the next book of the series.

I wonder why I decided to get this book. I know it's Cinderella story and I hate her more than any fairytale princesses. After reading everything, hey, it wasn't that bad. There were surprises and kind of unexpected twist that make this book worth reading.
