The Bounding Storm is racing toward adventure … and this time it’s something completely out of the ordinary.
Rowan Gray still can’t wrap her mind around the fact that an old shipwreck – one that could make salvagers rich beyond their wildest dreams – is going to be The Bounding Storm’s main focus for a full week. It’s true, though, and the shift in demeanor on the boat is exciting and worrisome at the same time.
Even Rowan’s boyfriend Quinn isn’t immune and he’s swept up in the grandeur of the event … right until things turn sour and someone attacks one of the divers. It becomes clear rather quickly that something else is going on and someone has nefarious designs on the find.
If that weren’t bad enough, Rowan finds herself at odds with the salvage team leader – a man who she recognizes on a level she can’t quite explain – and her tragic past is about to push to the forefront when the man’s identity becomes known. There’s only one question: Is he friend or foe?
Rowan has to figure it out fast because when things come to a head, she has to decide who is on the side of right and who is trying to commit a terrible wrong. If she doesn’t make the correct decision, someone could die … including her.
It’s all hands on deck for another adventure, and whether everyone will live to make history is anyone’s guess.
Now that was an awesome adventure. I loved finding out more about Rowan's past and I can't wait for more. I enjoy Rowan and Quinn together their relationship maybe new but it has a warmth and solidness to it that makes me smile. Nick was a great new character i am looking forward to reading more about. Sunken treasure, pirates and diving all part of an awesome adventure.
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. If I can cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Rowen Gray is a photographer she is a young woman who grew up in Michigan near Detroit. She lost her mother in middle school her father disappeared right before graduation in high school and she was left all on her own to figure out life. She went to college became a news photographer for a number of years until downsizing cost her a job. She went looking for a new one and found a job as a photographer on a cruise line. She now works on a cruise line Taking pictures of guests during the cruise. She’s had a unique ability to see omens in photographs around certain people. People that have a death omen hanging over them tend to meet that fate if the omen is in their picture. On occasion Rowen can change the circumstances and save them but not always. after working on the cruise line for a bit she started dating Quinn the head of security and he knows about her secret as well. Together they try and thwart any particular person from becoming harmed if they can. Read on and see what adventure awaits them this time on this cruise.
When the Bounding Storm is hired to take an archaeological diving crew out to an important wreck site and provide accommodation, meals, research space and secure storage for any bounty found adventure is definitely on the cards.
All is not as it seems though. Nick Green is definitely watching Rowan far more than is reasonable. But Rowan is busy watching Andrea and Selena, both highly experienced divers in the leading recovery team, who by turns have appeared with an omen. Quinn is caught up with Anthony, another exmarine with his own security company who's providing the site protection.
When an attempt on Selena's life is made it takes both Rowan and Quinn to pull her back to safety while Anthony goes after the attacker but loses him in the ship.
Rowan has more shocks to come when Quinn digs into Nick's background and reveals the truth behind his interest but they don't have time to fully explore the revelation before the omen reappears and it's now on Quinn and Rowan herself.
Cruise ship photographer Rowen Gray & Head of Ship Security Quinn Davenport are back again in another exciting adventure aboard the Bounding Storm. This time the entire ship has been taken over by a group of sunken treasure hunters. Even though this is not their typical cruise our heroes are still faced with secrets, murder, & lots of hidden agendas. I really delight in the blooming relationship between Ro & Quinn. I love their quirky banter & growing devotion to each other. Lots of bombshells are exposed throwing our couple some major life altering information. I did miss the ever enjoyable Sally & Demarcus. They do appear but only very slightly. They always bring lots of laughs. As always, another very enjoyable mystery in this series!
This book was full of surprises and they were surprises I didn't expect. I can't wait until the next book and hopefully some questions I have will be answered. As usual Rowan lands herself in a pickle, but she is always resourceful and figures things out. Things between Rowan and Quinn are great. This book is great for an afternoon read or if you just want a taste of warm weather because you're sick of the cold. Let Ms. Hart take you away from reality for a bit and join Rowan and Quinn on the high seas for an adventure that always leaves you with a smile on your face.
When she hears that a sunken treasure group will be on cruise next, she and little excited. Her boyfriend however is over the moon. Treasure Island and The Goonies all rolled into one. The head of the expedition draws her eye. He seems very familiar to her. Has she met him before? The expedition security chief and the head of the divers seem to have devised a scheme to separate the two of them. Will they succeed? An attempted murder, a murder, theft and some news regarding her family are woven into a great plot that makes you want to cheer for our hero and heroine.
Absolutely been loving all series of lily Harper Hart 's work though I think she may need to have a talk with her proof readers especially when she mixed up the characters name with another series in one book lol . I'm also a little concerned about some of the name calling as the Sp.. work isn't really exaceptable in this day and age I don't know what it means where she is from but it's not something ppl say anymore. Absolutely love these books and series can't wait for the next, funny, snarky with great twist and turns haven't stopped reading since I started first series.
In this book, Rowan past is explored. There is a major revelation made but the information revealed isn't discussed due to some unforeseen circumstances. I am eager to learn more about this revelation. Rowan and Quinn relationship is so cute and I even love their arguments. A group of divers book the ship to explore and excavate a sunken ship. Quinn is fascinated with all things historical. His excitement can be felt in the words. Fantastic book and I adore this series.
I adore this series, and this installment was another winner! I will say that I was annoyed with Quinn for a bit, but he did a good job of redeeming himself. It is also nice to see a hero who is not perfect. I loved the mystery and the plot and thought it was a fun concept overall. I also liked seeing Quinn's geeky side come out. I am also really intrigued about Rowan's past, and I liked that we learned a bit more in this story. The ending definitely left me wanting more, so I am eagerly awaiting the next installment!
I love this series. There are so many plot twists in this book. Rowan meets someone from her past who may have answers about her father. Quinn gets caught up with reminiscing about his military days and strains things with Rowan. Multiple targets and multiple villains will keep you guessing until the end. Throw in a treasure hunt and you get a great adventure. Can't wait for the next book.
This is another in the Rowan Gray mystery series. Lily Harper Hart has continues this sea based mystery with our two heroes Rowan and Quinn. This time our duo are involved with pirates and sunken treasure. The story is lite and fun and fast paced. It is definitely an enjoyable read and I would encourage anyone who likes these types of books to give this one a go. It is worth it.
Book four of the Rowan Gray series finds Rowan and Quinn escorting a treasure dive crew. The present mixes with the past for Rowan and we learn more about her past. Quinn and Rowan’s personal relationship is tested when they disagree on her safety and next steps with respect to the mystery. It ends with a cliff hanger with respect to Rowan’s past but ties up the current mystery nicely. Another great installment in the series!
This was another winner. I love this Author and all the different names she writes under and all her books and different series she writs. Everyone of them are great and I highly recommend every one of them. Once you start one of her books you will not want to stop reading it until you finish it. I have read over 60 of her books. I need to order the next book 5 Diana Romano
This series is a bit different of a setting since they are always confined together on a cruise ship. It makes for some highly entertaining moments and some tricky musters to solve. I love each book. This one will not disappoint and we find out more about Rowan’s past and the mystery surrounding it.
Up till now there hasn't been much of a backstory. I had planned to mention it in this review if nothing turned up. Thankfully, this one was all about the backstory, along with a pretty well written mystery, this time with a treasure hunting focus. We still don't have the full story but I'm hoping the next book will solve that problem!
Much, much better than the 3rd book by far. I enjoy all the characters in all the books so far. I just was really disappointed I The last book. This was much better. They’re all pretty funny and I have enjoyed this series so far. I believe if you enjoyed books 1-3 then you will definitely enjoy reading book 4. Enjoy and I’ll see you after book 5😊
I loved that the story involved sunken ship with hidden treasure. And the new characters were fascinating. The other security guy, for the divers, made me think of The Rock, in body at least. I also like the direction the series is going on regarding Rowan's past.
Rowan is convinced that she knows the man who rented the entire ship for a recovery dive on a hundred year old shipwreck. With the ship full of divers, a strain is being put on her relationship with Quinn, and they're trying to figure out how to stop a murder. A wonderful book full of answers from the past, and shocking revelations on the horizon.
A close look into the world of treasures and shipwrecks and retrieval. Add to that a mystery man that Rowan thinks she has seen before. In the end, i was left with the feeling that the answers had been dropped into the ocean miles back before i realized it. Anxious to start next in series.
Rowan & Quinn make me smile and I appreciate the character development but I wish there wasn't the cliffhanger! Nick was an interessting addition but I could predict the solution to the crime from fairly early on. Still love the books and can't wait for more
Still way too may compliments being thrown around but the story was good. Bring back all the banter the four of them had....at least let Rowan and Quinn have some....they’re starting to get boring. I am glad there might be answers to Rowan’s dad...this could be interesting!!! Happy Reading :)
Instead, they find lies and murder on their trip. Rowan discovers that she has relatives on the cruise. She also learns a little bit more about her family and her father's disappearance. Well worth reading.
I would say this is mediocre at best. I found the story too predictable. The cliffhanger pertaining to the character's parent is the only motivation for continuing the series.
Book 4 finds the crew on a treasure hunt and a sunken ship. Then the omen shows up and an attempted murder. And who is this Nick person? Is he good or bad? There is humor, angst, danger, mystery, murder, and love. Highly entertaining.
Another great addition. I especially loved that Rowan saved herself and came off slightly bad ass. Only downside is how long I have to wait for book 5 :)
