Received an ARC for my fair review for Enticement Book Productions. This was a cute short story. A new spin one of our favorite fairytales, but I want you to read it, and figure out which one, so I will not tell you which one, but I think you can kind of guess. But let me tell you that this mother and daughter team did a good job putting a little modern spin on things. I hope we get more from them!

A fun short story! I love spins on fairytales! I can honestly say I have never seen someone do The Little Mermaid. That was why I grabbed it.
A modern telling of a well loved classic. Teenage drama at it's finest. But the heart of the story was the same. Summer (our Ariel) has always liked Lucas (our Eric) from a far. Then she saves him and he is hooked. Sound familiar??
It was adorable the way they flirted and refreshing that it was such an innocent start of a relationship.
Then we meet the evil Cassidy (our Ursala) jealous and devious trying to steal the boy. Sound familiar?
Really just a sweet fun story that made me smile. The well known story set at sea now told in a high school setting.
I love that this was written by a mother daughter team. Hope to see more books from them.

I really enjoyed this story. It was emotional, cute, relatable and entertaining. This story works well as a short story, but I think it would be so much better as a full length book, because then we could have scene the characters and scenes much more fleshed out. Although I really enjoyed this story there were two things that threw me off. 1. some of the things Summer and her friends would do or say didn't sound like how teenagers today talk or act. It almost felt like this story should take place in a different time besides the present. 2. Some of the scenes were just way too rushed. I know it is a short story, but there were some scenes where the pacing was perfect and others where I felt like I had whiplash. Overall it was a very cute story that I am happy I got the chance to read. I would definitely read more from this mother/daughter duo and I hope you'll check them out too.
*I received this book in exchange for an honest review*

This was a short story about a girl named Summer, she has this unique job of performing shows underwater as a mermaid. Different right? Never heard of that. Anyways, Summer's crush, Lucas, is at one of her shows and this is her big shot for Lucas to really see her. But Of course her brat of a cousin, Cassidy, gets in between Summer and Lucas. Cassidy wants Lucas for herself so She tries to drive a wedge between the two.

This was a very easy to read, short story. It was a little of a spin off of the little Mermaid. It was the classic teenage drama. It was a good read. I enjoyed reading it. It was a today's version of Little Mermaid. It was cool that it was written by a mother and daughter team. It is something you should check out!

A short story about a girl named Summer, who has a cool job performing in underwater shows as a mermaid. Her crush, Lucas, shows up with his sister for one of her performances- and that's when he sees her for the first time in her element. Things kick off for them until her witch of a cousin, Cassidy, gets in the way. She tries to drive a wedge between the two.

I loved Lucas' friend, Max and I liked Summer's friends but boy was her dad a butthead. I loved the carnival scene with Lucas and Summer the best.

This was an easy, quick, short story written by a mom and her teen daughter. What a fun adventure to do together.
