One year. One will. A marriage and a baby, or we lose everything.
I’d taken care of Ben Winston during his final days, and was there for him when his own family deserted him so why did he punish me during the reading of his will?
The lawyer said that I have to marry his grandson, Curt, within three months of the reading of the will for the two of us to inherit half of the land. After that, we have to have a baby within one year to secure the other half of the estate; if we don’t, we both lose everything to charity.
He was my first kiss. My first boyfriend. My first….everything.
We both need the money for different reasons so we decide to play house just long enough to get what we both need, and then we can divorce, right?
The problem is, I never thought Curt Winston could make me fall in love with him all over again. I should’ve known he’d play for keeps, especially once I was carrying his baby.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Curt and Hope were, as far as she believed, to be high school sweethearts. But, he claims he was only with her for the sex! That did not make me feel very well disposed towards him for a start. Hope is working to try to have the money to send her younger brother to college and so has been looking after Curt's grandfather until he died. Curt had just disappeared one day after school and joined the Navy - not even telling his best friend? He doesn't even go to the funeral but is there for the reading of the will with all the other family members who never bothered with the old man when he was alive with the exception of Hope" Grrrr. But the will states that Curt and Hope must marry each other withing 3 months and have a child withing 12 months! VERY reluctantly Hope agrees and things seem to be better when she is confronted by something so cruel that she runs. Aubrey Michelle penned a really good story here. I would have liked some more details about why Curt left etc and the proof reader didn't do a very good job at times.Having said that the story was full of emotions and I felt so very sorry for Hope as Curt seemed to be a Class 1 cruel man who didn't deserve her. To find out if he is the creep that he seems at the beginning you must read the story. Do they get a HEA together? I think an epilogue say a year down the line would have been good for us to see how they were doing in their lives. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED The Cowboy's Hope (A Second Chance Romance Novel
This was a great story with a great theme. It is a story of two people,Curt and Hope. They had a relationship when younger but Curt left without a word to anyone. Now he's back in town at the reading of his grandfather's will. Curt is hoping for an inheritance to survive on, Hope is there in the same hope but for the sake of her brother. Then the final terms are revealed...to inherit they have to marry and have a child within a year of the marriage. Two people who dislike each other intensely. Upon meeting up again at a local bar, Hope's words to Curt is that she'd have to be drunk out of mind to marry him. Curt manages to convince Hope and they plan on a trip to Vegas. The way they both seem to grow into each other is intense and sometimes not with lots of bumps and some bruises. A great read which will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I loved this sweet second chance story. Intresting twist yo the will and enjoyed the characters. There was two more stories in the book that followed about two very different and intresting sisters, that I didn’t expect. Not cowboy related at all, although I did enjoy them. Just as a dude note I have to say there are so many grammar and spelling mistakes in this book I have to wonder whose doing the proof reading. I’d think they’d want to clean it up s bit more than that. Otherwise I enjoyed the stories.
This story is wonderful i really enjoyed it. Curt has returned home for the reading of his estranged grandfather, in the will the grandfather states that Curt and Hope are to be married within 3 months of the will reading if they do this they will receive half of the inheritance if they produce a child within a year of the marriage they will receive all they had been left, if no child was born they would lose it all. Such a sweet story about stubborn love and the struggles is they fall in love but to proud to admit it.
This was a interesting read. Curt and Hope knew each other in the past but were never close. Curt joined the armed forces to get away from his grandfather. Hope ended up taking care of his grandfather the last two months of his life. The grandfather left a will saying Curt and Hope had to get married and have a kid within a year or all his money would go to charity. The chemistry between the H and h was good and the story was well written and kept my interest waiting to see how it would all turn out. A really enjoyable read. I received an advance arc copy from Booksprout for an honest review.
"The Cowboy's Hope" (A Second Chance Romance Novel) by Aubrey Michelle is a good read. I enjoyed Curt and Hope's story, even though I wanted to smack Curt a few times. This was the first book I've read by this author and I would definitely read more in the future. This story has second chances, overcoming loss, an interesting twist thrown in a will, and more. Recommend to all fans of romance, second chances, and happily ever afters.
I received a copy of this from booksprout to review and voluntarily review it. I really enjoyed this book. It was heartwarming, heartbreaking, fun, hot and so much more. They had something years ago and he left for the military and she was left behind and took care of his grandfather for a time. He died and there were surprise stipulations to the will. It gets fun from there. I recommend it.
This was a really good sweet-hot second chance romance. When Curt's grandfather passes away, it brings him back for a reading of the will, and he also comes face to face with Hope. They never really got a true relationship going before, but can they work things out now? Is the spark still there and ready to burst? Both Curt and Hope may have started out thinking about his grandfather's money, but it wasn't for greed or selfish reasons. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

They are there at the atty office for the reading of his grandfathers will. There are unexpected clauses that need to be fulfilled in order to get the farm. It all must be done within a few months time period to a year. It was awfully sweet and great read. I loved her sassyness and him be stubborn.
I just love this second chance love story. The storyline was excellent and the characters Curt and Hope were well detailed. You won't be able to put it down once you start reading it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was Good. Had a good ending too. She also gave you 3 More books. They was Great Too. They all had Great Ending Too. Will read more of her books.

I received a ARC copy of this book. This was a second chance romance and I love these sort of books. Curt and Hope used to date in high school and Curt admits that he only dated her for sex. Curt at first I thought he was a jerk. He left Hope and town joining the navy without letting anyone know. Not even his best friend.
Hope stayed in town and is still hurt by what Curt did, but she moves in with his grandfather and takes care of him when he gets sick. She was really the only there for the grandfather. The grandfather passes away.and now Curt is back in town for the reading of the will. Life has been rough for Curt and he need money after being discharged from the navy. Hope is also there and she needs money to send her younger brother to college and she has no job. At first I was upset because they both were there only for the money and I found that sort of selfish , but at least Hope did take care of the old man.
Curt did not even bother attending his funeral. Can you imagine how shocked they were when they found out what the old man had planned for them. They had to be married and get pregnant within a year to keep the farm and worst of all they had to marry each other. These two fought like cats and dogs. They both really needed to sit down and communicate with each other. At one point I did not even believe they would get there HEA from what Curt was about to do even though he did not do it. It still was wrong.
I liked this book it's a short read and was the perfect Friday read for me. I give this book four stars and if you like second chances give this book a shot. It is out now and available on Amazon so grab your kindle and order it now it is just under $1
Curt and Hope get a forced second chance with each other when his grandfather's will stipulates that they marry and produce an heir in order to keep the family ranch. Curt starts out being a selfish jerk who doesn't feel worthy of Hope, though we're not really filled in on enough of his background to understand why. Hope is trying to send her younger brother to college and needs the financial resources the ranch offers, but she's hesitant to put her heart out for Curt to break again. The biggest challenge at first seems to be learning to work the ranch after it had fallen into neglect, but they quickly discover that communication is an even bigger challenge.
This story has a good premise and for the most part works well, but there were a few parts that didn't quite seem to fit. The characters' inner thoughts and some of their more dramatic actions didn't always match up to the previously stated facts, which pulled me out of the story for a bit. But overall the story was enjoyable and we get a nice epilogue. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book through Booksprout.
Hope has been working for Ben Winston for the last two years and looked after him until he passed away. At the reading of the will Hope finds out that the ranch has been left jointly to her and Ben’s grandson Curt on the condition that they marry within three months and have a baby within a year otherwise his estate will go to charity.
To further complicate things Curt and Hope dated in high school however her feelings ran much deeper than his and he left town to join the Navy without telling anyone. Hope needs the money for her brother’s education and Curt needs the money as well so they have no other option but to meet the conditions but will they be successful?
Although they are both in it for the money both Hope and Curt do grow on you and the combination of drama, twists and chemistry make this an enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Aubrey Michelle is a new author to me and I have to say I enjoyed this book. It ended at 22% so that's a minus for me. The storyline was I defeating but I feel like the author left something out. I feel like in certain places there should have been more said because we (the readers) really don't know much. I would have loved a little more background on the couple and on Curt's relationship with his grandfather. Maybe it should have started with the reason he just left one day and then started the regular book. Like I said there is a lot that's missing .
A nice short and easy read. I like the story line and plot. The story is sweet and instant. But both main characters are forced into the relationship but is that so bad? There are passion, lust, chemistry, laughs, sighs and emotional challenges. The unsuspected twists makes it a nice read. Sometimes I felt I was left confused because I missed some information and did not now what to expect. A bit more introduction of the characters and their background maybe or some thoughts from the characters. But in spite of that I liked the story. Curt and Hope is a couple that suits each other.

This is a great book with a twist to a will. Who ever thought Ben Winston would leave such unusual requirements in his will. To get 1/2 of the estate, they would have to get married within three months and to get the other half they would have to have a baby within a year. No spoiler here, but remember they were each's first love. A great story that will have you laughing and crying. A great read. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A lovely romantic story between the main characters of Hope and Curtis. They were old flames reunited for the reading of a will with stipulations that involve the both of them. Aubrey writing is engaging and entertaining. Her storyline is rich with well-developed characters. All wrapped together that held my interest until the very end when a HEA is realized. Enjoy!
4.5 stars - This is a short but fun quick novella that could have been written longer and still been an awesome read. Since it is a novella, the characters were not well developed but that is somewhat expected since there just isn't enough pages in a novella length story. However, this does not take away from this book being well written with main characters that connect with great chemistry. The story is unique and fun, loved it! Definitely Recommend!!
The Cowboy's Hope by Aubrey Michelle is a good read. This book is a second chance at love for Curt and Hope. Characters are interesting and the storyline is engaging. Book also includes three bonus reads. I enjoyed the dynamic and chemistry between the characters. A good read that I enjoyed and recommend. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
I love a cowboy romance and enjoyed this one. The storyline is unique, the characters are interesting, and both of those together make for a intriguing storyline. I know you will enjoy the journey that Curt and Hope go through to finally get their HEA. This is a quick, sweet read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This book was a super fast read and it ended at 22% which was a bit of a letdown for me. Whilst the story is good and the characters are sweet and very likeable I did feel like somethings were missing at times I guess as it was so short. Non the less its written well and is a decent read and had some extra stories in it which were a bonus.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did but it just didn't do it for me. Both Curt and Hope are portrayed as selfish twenty-somethings who are only after the money from his inheritance. Finally, by the end, they realize what they are doing but I wanted to smack them both.
Titled story- Sweet, steamy reunited high school lovers. It's a full but short story, with some skipping around on time lines. His grandfather brought these two together from the grave and insured that they will continue on the family name by making his will as two parts must be met before they get full control on anything.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Good Read, a second chance romance plus a baby.. hot, sexy and steamy read
A very interesting read. Some questions arose while I was reading the story though - loopholes that should have been filled up within the story. I hope the plot was more developed and emotional connection between Curt and Hope was well established. I hope there are more character interactions within the story - the ranch hands, Hope's brother, Curt's kins since all was mentioned, but it seems they are all non-existent except with Hope's brother since he had a very brief appearance in the story.
