First of all, do you SEE that cover? Am I drooling? Yes. I want to call up the plumber and let’s pray he looks like THAT! 😏

After spending what seemed like hours staring at the cover—wanting to climb up the ladder of his abs—I finally started reading this book.

Err. Mer. Gurd. Friends, I could not put The Wilde Touch down. Forget the plumber, these characters are insatiable. I didn’t know what to expect, but I certainly wasn’t expecting to have my heart shredded with a cheese grater…and enjoy it.

I have created a new category for this book (you all know I love to categorize my men). This one is a Category 5: WTF Just Happened.

What does a girl do when her heart gets broken? She gets her hustle on in kinky night clubs with masked men...except the only Zorro in this novel is Crockett…and he’s the exact reason she’s broken in the first place.

Alexandra and Crockett once shared a love—so she thought. Of course, Crockett just had to go and cut up her heart with a pair of dull zig-zag crafting scissors. Now, she holds men at a distance. And rightly so! Gag! Crockett makes me sick!

After years of going through the motions of life, Alex runs into the man who ruined her. Her and Crockett are suddenly tossed into a steaming pot of SEXY and Alex inevitably repeats the mistakes of her past...multiple times. Her and Crockett have absolutely no problem making up for lost time here, but there’s trouble in the air and it seems to be following Alex like a dark cloud waiting to rain havoc on her.

Alex resists, Crockett persists. Oh how the tables have turned in this sort-of-relationship. Are they in a relationship? Does limbo count on the journey toward Forever?

I’m not quite sure, but Crockett sure seems to think so.

How would he react if she slinked her hands over his biceps? She peeked at him and her breath caught. Long red scratches marred his shoulders. “Wow, you’ve been clawed.”

“And I loved every second of you.” His deep voice rumbled through her and her insides clenched.

*fanning face*

Crockett is delusional if he thinks Alex will actually commit to him. She’s not really looking for round two. I mean…come ON. But there is heartbreak, my friends. Don’t think for a second their “relationship” is safe. We fall into a deep—very deep—abyss as their story slowly unravels and we get equal tastes of the present and the past.

Her sad smile shredded him. Falling in love shouldn’t be filled with so much angst.

Gaawd and I haven’t even talked about the other conflict that floods this book! I’m done for. There's mystery at the club, Alex goes missing...aye...the hollow spot in my chest aches just thinking about the layers upon layers of fallacy.

Crockett seems to think that Alex has the magic touch, but I’m convinced Stoni does black magic. It’s the only explanation as to why this book is so incredible.

The Wilde Touch is romance masked in darkness and mystery. It’s like a vivid dream come to life—but better. I was Alexandra. I was Crockett. I felt every word and every emotion as I followed each of their perspectives. I wanted to wallow in self-pity, fight for love and rip my shirt off right along with them. Yes, I just went there.

I was completely exposed as Alex and Crockett floundered through this fog—a fog they each had a part in manifesting. But slowly, and unexpectedly, this blanket lifted and I wanted nothing more than to read the book again…so I did. Oh and it’s even more immaculate the second time.

5 stars for Stoni.

“Why did all the roads always lead to this one man?”

The Wilde Touch is sexy, thrilling and intriguing. Told from dual points of view, The Wilde Touch follows the story of Alexandra and Crockett. Once upon a time, Alexandra and Crockett shared an amazing connection, some may have even called it love. But, falling in love only ended up with Alexandra getting her heart broken. Afraid to give her heart to anyone or share an intimate connection, Alexandra resorts to adult clubs to spend her time with masked partners. What she never planned on was running into Crockett. After all these years, their connection is still as strong as ever. Their chemistry is scorching and leads to some wild and sinful nights…. When things at the club don’t sit right with Alexandra, her and Crockett team up to find out what’s going on. Will Alexandra and Crockett finally give a real relationship a go? Will Alexandra trust her heart again? Will the two of them find the answers about the club they are so desperately seeking? There is only one way to find out….

Overall, I enjoyed The Wilde Touch. This story pulled me in right away and really grabbed my interest. I was intrigued by the characters and their story. I had a lot of questions that I couldn’t wait to find out the answers to. I loved Alexandra and Crockett together. The chemistry between the two of them was very palpable and I enjoyed learning about their pasts. The sexual tension between the two of them was so intense, I couldn’t help but root for them to overcome their history together.

The Wilde Touch wasn’t all sexy good times. This story had some really great twists along the way. The danger and intrigue really captivated me. I loved the mystery surrounding the story and I thought the author did a really great job weaving the web of suspense and keeping you on the edge of your seat, trying to figure things out.

The Wilde Touch is the second book in the Touch Series and is the second book by author Stoni Alexander. I thought this story was a lot of fun and it certainly kept me entertained. This is my first book by this author and I’m excited to check out more from her in the future.

4 unexpected stars

The second book in the Touch series by Stoni Alexander, this was easily my favourite one so far (even knowing it's her second and more will be coming in the future!) since it brought back characters from the previous book so that we can find out what happens to them while really getting to know who Alexandra Reed is and her brother's best friend Crockett Wilde.

4 breath taking dreams

i connected with Alexandra on many levels - she's a woman who wants to make her own path in life away from her family name while needing to care for her ailing mother. The stress of her daily life has her needing to find a release somewhere and finds it in a club with a partner she never expected would give her everything she needs! I loved their dynamic and their chemistry is through the roof! I can't wait to find out how this author will top this book with her next release!

I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked the story but didn't love it. It's hard to put into words really. From the beginning, I was totally into the story but as I read on I found myself skimming through here and there. Some of the chapters did drag a little and maybe had more detail than necessary.

Although I did struggle a little I can't deny the fact that the storyline had me on my toes. I've always enjoyed reading second chance stories, and The Wilde Touch did give me all the feels. This book has everything a reader looks for, steamy romance, drama, secrets, and HEA.
Although The Wilde Touch was not for me it doesn't mean I won't be reading books by Stoni Alexander this just means I didn't care for this particular book.

My Review: First off, I have to talk about how amazing this author is at keeping all the subplots, twists, and turns not only straight, but easy to remember and comprehend. Despite so much going on in this book, I never once felt lost or unsure about what was going on. The story is so incredibly complex, but I could always keep everything appropriately separated - or could see where several storylines were starting to merge.

This was a one-sitting read. Not only does this include one of my all-time favorite romance tropes - Older brother's best friend/Best friend's little sister - but it's such a deep, intriguing suspense story. And on top of that? It's so, so hot. Steamy. I'm surprised I didn't melt when I was reading some of these scenes. But it would have been worth it. What a way to go! Melted by Crockett Wilde. So worth it.

Not only does Stoni Alexander write genuine characters, but you can empathize with their feelings of hurt, frustration, love, etc. When Alexandra has to deal with a new boss, or when Crockett had one of his devices malfunction - you can feel the frustration coming through the book. For a new author on the scene, Stoni Alexander knows what she's doing. Both The Mitus Touch and The Wilde Touch were un-put-downable, and I fully expect any more books by this author will be equally so.

Highly recommended, and I can't wait for you all to meet Crockett!

Cover Lovin': Yum! And works perfectly with book one.

Recommendation: The Wilde Touch can be read without reading The Mitus Touch. But personally, I'd recommend the first book since you'll get some useful backstory.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)! Another amazing book by Stoni Alexander! This might have eclipsed The Mitus Touch for me, but they're both so good it's hard to choose. I can't wait for more by this author!

Could not put this down! I was literally up until 2am every morning until I finished this...I only read before bed. It's sexy, super hot, intriguing, mysterious. I also love that it's set in the city where I live.
The writing is so strong. The characters are well developed and complex. The plot is twisty and turny with a couple different challenges going on for the characters.
Crockett Wilde and Alexandra Mitus have known each other since they were teens. Crockett is best friends with her brother. They dated for a while, hearts were broken, and mended over time and distance but when Alexandra comes back east the last person she wants to see is Crockett so she goes to lengths initially to avoid him.
To escape the pain she still feels though, she indulges in an underground lifestyle club that has some potentially dangerous implications in her life.
This is the 2nd book in the series but you don't have to have read the 1st one to follow along.
I was totally pulled in for the whole ride. The hot sex, with a bit of kink thrown in, the intrigue and mystery surrounding the club, the tension between Alex and Crockett....I just. had. to. keep. reading. Delicious! There was some campy details, the last names of the characters kind of played the trope of strength and importance - Wilde and Mitus are very strong names, just like their characters.

5 WILDE stars!!!!

I have been anticipating this book! I loved The Mitus Touch and knew the Wilde Touch would be just as good if not better! I was not wrong!! Crocket gave Colton a run for his money...I was in lust with the man and all his naughty ways. Crockets past with Alex made his work cut out for him to get in her good graces. During the day, Alex works so hard to move up in her career.. But at night she is so good at being bad. I loved the good, the dirty, and the yummy part of the book. I did not put it down!

Finally something rubs Alex the wrong way and Crocket is the one by her side to help her. What they uncover had my jaw dropping to the floor. If that was not enough, when Colton finally tells Alex the truth about their past and how blurry the lines got when it touched her present was even more shocking. Stoni blew me away with this book! I love her writing style and the reality she brings with her characters. Don't get me started how she brings the sexiness to the HOT scenes. The kink is there and the emotions are pouring through Alex and Crocket. I highly recommend this book to my friends and all readers out there that need to get lost in a good book for a couple of days!

Stoni Alexander has done it again with another fabulous book that kept me turning page after page. I loved these characters as well as all the secondary characters, some old and some new. The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts HOT.

Stoni gives you a story that will have you so engrossed that time will fly by and you won't even know it. Full of twists that you won't see coming and questions that you will NEED answers to. It's been a few days since I finished this read and I'm still reeling from it. Stoni Alexander is a must read author for me!

Crockett let Alexandra go once 10 years ago, now that she's back he will not be doing it again. But first, he needs to get her to be in the same room as him. Alexandra left 10 years ago and although she has been back home in that time she has avoided Crockett at all costs. He broke her heart all those years ago. But will she be able to stay away from him when he makes it his mission to see her as much as possible?

I once again cannot wait to see what she brings to the table next.

Just as the first book, Mitus Touch, was a winner this one just proves that Stoni Alexander knows how to write an engaging book that keeps the pages turning. The characters were so well developed and the chemistry was HOT!! Crockett and Alexandra made a great couple who enjoyed a little bit of kink. The twist that this story had just made it that much more enjoyable as there was plenty with secondary characters that were just as likeable as Crockett and Alexandra. Previous book characters made appearances and tied the books together although this book will stand completely alone. Add in an HEA for a great read. I am definitely looking forward to more books from this author. I am giving my voluntary review on an ARC I received.

I’d been meaning to read this book for a while now, but having been bogged down in reviews, and I’ll admit, skeptical that it would be as good as it was, I’d been pushing it back for months.

So I finally put my big girl panties on and opened the book that Stoni Alexander asked me to read in exchange for an honest review.

Sooo, honestly... this book was pretty damn great. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Crockett (which I’ll admit, is a really weird name) and Alexandra. The sex scenes... guys. The sex scenes are basically like role playing porn written out in words and it’s hot as fuck. I’m not lying. I mean, college professor and student, detective and suspect... man oh man, it was great.

When they’re not having sex, Alexandra is sleuthing. Wanting to be an investigative reporter, she’ll follow any hunch that she has. And boy, is this hunch a doozy.

I would classify this book as a psychological thriller. I’m kept on my toes the entire time I’m reading, which, by the way, I could not put the book down, and when the big reveal of what’s going on inside Incognito is revealed... you’ll be floored. I was SHOCKED. Shocked is almost an understatement. Out of all the things I thought it could be, this wasn’t even on my radar. Floored, I tell you.

There are some pretty great minor characters and a story set up for a pair of them, which I’m interested in reading. I’m also interested and reading The Mitus Touch, the first book in this series about Alexandra’s brother.

The only negative thing I have to say is that I felt the big scene with the police and whatnot was rushed.
Speaking of, holy crap on the information that Danny found out. Like my jaw dropped. I thought the surprises were over after that big scene... but no, she pulled the rug out from under us.

I’m very glad that I put my other arcs and reviews on hold for this book. It was phenomenal!

Pretty Wild

Another standalone winner in this series where the individuals are carried over but the storylines are independent of one another.

This is Crockett and Alexandra's story. Crockett Wilde runs his company that creates and develops state-of-the-art security and internet technology. He has dealings with several federal and local governmental police and military organizations. Alexandra Reed (Mitus) is a journalist who is the host of a successful weekly news magazine show in L.A. She has taken an extended leave to return to the Washington D.C. area to be with her mother, who is battling brain cancer.

After a torrid summer romance 10 years earlier, Crockett disavowed his love for Alexandra, and ensured she went to the college of her dreams, even though she told him she wanted to change her plans and stay with him. From then on, a broken-hearted Alexandra avoided contact with Crockett whenever she was visiting home. But now that she is returning, Alexandra will no longer be able to continue her evasive actions and they both will be forced to face the other.

Both Alexandra and Crockett, in addition to their mutual belief of unrequited love, suffer from traumatic experiences which occurred many years before. These also influenced their emotional and psychological mindsets and affected their reunification efforts.

There are just too many particulars to address that make this story pretty complex, but also make it so interesting. As with the first book, both the character and storyline development is excellent, and there's plenty of heat. If you read Book One first, it does help as you have a greater familiarity with many of the primary characters and their background stories. All told , this is another book you don't want to put down.

“The return of Goth Girl, all grown up”

I received an Advance Reader Copy for THE WILDE TOUCH: Book #2 of The Touch Series written by Stoni Alexander and voluntarily reviewed this book. Both Crockett and Alexandra have suffered great loss in their lives, and it still haunts them to this day. In fact, about a decade ago, Crockett made a decision to support Alexandra’s dream of becoming a journalist, by pushing her away, something he deeply regrets but felt he had to do. Alexandra has never gotten over Crockett either, even though she has managed to avoid him all these years. She is finally offered the golden ticket obtained from all her endless hours of hard work when her life comes crashing down with one phone call with news of her mother’s illness. Alexandra moves back home to care for her mother, also bringing her within Crockett’s radius, who has always been in their lives as her brother’s best friend growing up. Now, she is tasked to interview Crockett in a decidedly mediocre investigative role for an interim job while staying in her hometown to support her family. While at an exclusive BDSM club to blow off steam, they unknowingly reconnect at a carnal level, but Alexandra’s sharp eyes also suspicious details, beyond the handsome masked man who has all her body’s attention…

Many twists occur in this story, much to be explained via their family histories which connect their pasts to their current lives and situations. Great chemistry between Crockett and Alexandra, with numerous plots and subplots interweaving to keep you on your toes until the end.

So after reading The Mitus Touch, I was excited to be able to dive right into The Wilde Touch! We saw a glimpse of Alexandra in the first book and I was excited to get to know her. Second chance love story? Yes, please! Alexandra had a hard, but good childhood thanks to her brother and her mom. They kept things hidden from her and we learn about those things throughout this book. She isn't one to have relationships. So when she finds herself back in DC, she finds a sister club to the one she belonged to in LA. She soon hits it off with a charming, intense man. And let me tell ya, it's H-O-T-T! This is one area of her life she can give up control. The rest of her life isn't going so spectacularly. Her boss is a total douchebag, she doesn't have many friends and her mother isn't doing well. She finds herself without a place to stay and her brother's friend and the man she's tried avoiding, Crockett, is there for her. Soon the chemistry is unavoidable and they can't stay away from each other. I loved their second chance story! Crockett has some things going on in his life that aren't working out so well also and he finds support and strength from Alexandra. She's able to help him in ways neither of them expected. I enjoyed the mystery/suspense happening around them and these two worked well together! I was sucked into their story and devoured this book! I do recommend reading The Mitus Touch before reading The Wilde Touch.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review. An amazing story. An amazing journey. This story had an excellent plot with surprises around every corner. There was twists and turns and some darkness lots of secrets involved. Alexandra/Alex Reed Mitus took a leave from her job on the coast to she could relocate to the D.C. area for her mother who was ill with brain cancer. Her boss got her a temporary gig at a local TV station. However, the GM was a sleaze who mislead her to take a job there and then put her on the bottom rung of the ladder. One of her assignments lead her back to her first love Crocket Wilde. On her off time to expend unwanted stress and emotions she joined Incognito, a sex club. There she went in disguise her name was Electra and she unknowingly hooked up with Hunter aka Crocket. After a few sessions with Hunter, Electra figured out he was her Crocket. At the same time Electra noticed something fishy or illegal was going on at Incognito. Something about rejuvenation. All this had Alex reeling. She even was threatened by her roommates boyfriend. Crocket would have none of that and tried to protect Alex by having her move in with him. So much was going on in this book that what I shared is only the tip of the iceberg. You will find this story has all the elements of romance, mystery and danger, just to name a few. You will not be disappointed if you choose to read this. I highly recommend this.

This is a great read. This is the first time reading anything by this author.
Alexandra is at the top of her career when she gets a call to come home, her mother has cancer. But when she gets there it's just like before, her family doesn't tell her the full story and always trying to shelter her from everything. But there is one thing that they don't try sheltering her from. Her first love, which happens to be her brother's best friend and is adored by her mom, Crockett. But he broke her heart and she doesn't want to see him, she still feels that pull to him and can't go through another heartbreak.
She doesn't do relationship since she has abandonment issues, so she is part of a private sex club where she hides her identity and has sex with strangers. That is until she meets Hunter..the connection is strong and she keeps thinking about him. There is something shady going on at the club and she wants to find out but she enjoys her time with Hunter...until she finds out Hunter is actually Crockett.
This story is filled with hot sex, secrets, sabotage, shady men, and more secrets.

A second chance romance with a twist
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my 1st book by Stoni, and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Alexandra gets a promotion to an investigative slot with the network and goes to her friends house on the beach to celebrate. Yet when she tries to call her Mother and hears she has taken some time off; she calls her brother to find out their Mom has cancer. Leaving to head home, her boss gets her a job with a DC affiliate which just so happens to be a former boss who slighted her in the past. There’s only one other thing in returning home to temp fate, and that is seeing Crockett, her former boyfriend who dumped her when she left for college. Life has a way of giving second chances and Alexandra unknowingly hooks up with Crockett at a club. When her roommate situation becomes intolerable, Crockett moves Alexandra in with him. Will Alexandra’s investigative skills actually achieve something that Crockett has been working his whole like on? You have to read to find out and will thoroughly enjoy the twists and turns.

I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and in return I promised that my review would be an honest one. I had not read the first story in the series by Stoni Alexander, so I was a little hesitant to sign up for this ARC, but the story line sounded interesting (I love second chances and I love it when they contain actual romance and not just wham, bam, oh I'm in love).

The story revolves around Crockett and Alexandra. Crockett let her walk away 10 years before and she's been avoiding him ever since. Finally, he comes to his senses and decided that he's going to do everything he can to put himself in front of her at every possible opportunity. The only words I could use to describe the two of them is "steam heat". They combust and it is quite an enjoyable read. While I don't have other books by Stoni Alexander, I will keep her name on my short list to read more by this new author. She did extremely well in the character development portion of the book and the plot didn't fail either. Good work!

Awesome romantic suspense, emotionally gripping, chemistry fueled

The Wilde Touch by Stoni Alexander is a very well written book with beautiful characters that are so real. All of them were great. Crockett absolutely melted my heart then sent my pulse into overdrive. So very sexy, a dominant alpha with a tender side too, carrying burdens from the past. Alexandra is also a strong character that I felt invested in. Values her career, love, & family while nursing a decade old hurt. I loved everything about this book. At one point it brought me to tears! I really enjoyed the diversity of this story as well. Tech, journalism, 3 letter agencies, a sex club, a current social issue, just to name a few!
Get comfy and grab a cool drink before you start because you will not want to stop! And don’t worry if you haven’t read Book 1, you won’t feel like you’re missing out at all. However, I fully intend to read Book 1, The Mitus Touch ASAP!
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book via Hidden Gems to share my honest review.

Decent read. I liked the suspense plots regarding Crockett's work and the sex club. I also liked that while it explained what happened in the past there wasn't endless flashbacks.

I don't mind the secret identity trope (short lived as it was) but also can't say I'm a fan in this instance. I found it a hard pill to swallow that MMC was stating he's never gotten over this chick in over 10 years and wants to pick up where they left off (because ya know she can't still be angry about the fact that her first everything absolutely broke her heart when they were younger) but yet he goes to a sex club the night before you know she's coming home because he hasn't had sex in like forever and has an amazing time...so much so that your friend/her brother warns you against getting hooked on mystery girl and you also talk about it where said love of your life might over hear it. The only saving grace is that Alex was actually out there living life and doing her own thing experimenting to her hearts content.

Wilde Touch, the second book in the Touch series by Stoni Alexander, is every bit as compelling as Mitus Touch was. Corporate espionage and sabotage as well as human trafficking are the dark side of Wilde Touch. Crockett Wilde and Alexandra Mitus Reed burn up the pages. He was her high school crush but he walked away and broke her heart. He let her go in order for her to pursue her dreams. Now they're back together and white hot as an anonymous hookup until she discovered who her masked lover really is. He rescues her from roommate hell. Her insight helps him solve a product problem. Her investigative instincts help to vanquish a trafficking ring with an explosive revelation. He's her champion, protector and rescuer throughout. These two finally figure out they're better together than apart.

The Wilde Touch (ARC) by Stoni Alexander: ***** Riveting - I couldn’t put it down
A quick start got my immediate attention, and the story never lost steam. (I stayed up well into the night to finish it!) It is an understatement to say that this author’s writing style is good because so much was going on in the story and she integrated it all so seamlessly. The storyline was steamy, with some erotic episodes that were playful without being overdone. It was gut wrenching on multiple levels, with criminal craziness. And heartwarming with close friends and family and a really nice HEA. I LOVED it and will be reading more from this author. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems and am voluntarily reviewing it.

4.5 Stars! There is so much going on in this book...all good! I will admit, to set the "stage" on all of the subplots, it was a little bit of a slow go for me in the beginning but, I could tell it was going to be worth wait. AND, it was terrific!

To get so many storylines to flow and gel within this book takes real talent. It's totally impressive how Ms. Alexander surrounds an erotic second chance romance with some truly emotional and upsetting situations and circumstances flawlessly. The complex and intriguing characters draw you in as they navigate their personal and professional lives.

I recommend this book for it's light and dark, for it's joy and sorrow and for the wrongs that are put right.

I liked reading this book; it is a second chance and mystery romance. The main characters are likeable and engaging; the plot it's interesting and multi-layered and there are plenty of steamy , rousing and passionate times
The beginning of the book was a bit slow , but as the story moved along , the paced picked up and the plot twists kept my attention . The Wilde Touch it's book two of the Touch Series , I didn't read the first book , but felt I did not missed anything by not reading the previous book.

I received an ARC of The Wilde Touch for my honest review.

This is the second book in the series it is not necessary to read the books in order, but I found I enjoyed it more reading them in order. Crockett has spent the last 13 years looking for his sister Sophie. He was in love with Alexandra when he was younger but let her go. Now Alexandra is back in the area to take care of her mom and when she goes to a sex-play club sparks fly with Hunter, what will happen when she figures out his identity. When she notices something not quite right at the club, danger follows. Can Crockett protect her? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and lots of steam. The story draws you in and holds your interest throughout. I really liked it.

The Wild Touch is an amazing story. It has more than one really strong character story line. Any one of these story lines would have been good on there own, but this book intertwines them and the results are outstanding.
During all the drama of the individual characters, a very steam romance is born. What starts out as stranger sex in a sex club turns into so much more. Loved the characters Crockett and Alexandra as well, their chemistry was off the charts!
The heat is definitely on high in this story. With lots of mystery, drama and suspense this story was a real hit with me.
