The simple, repetitive Social Studies text, written for emergent readers, provides a basic narrative for a series of stunning photographs of various topographies and landscapes found throughout our country.

Following the narrative, a short section provides rudimentary facts on each of the natural features, giving the reader information necessary for furthering their understanding of each topographical component.

This is an easy book at the beginner reading level about the different biomes found in the USA. My three year old loved the pics and the easy text. Good for kids 3-7.

This book would be good to show the different landscapes in America. The children can compare the differences in the climate, appearance, and locations of mountains, rivers, lakes, canyons, and prairies. Great opportunity to introduce a US map.
