Sophia Sinclair has hit rock bottom.

Her biggest fear has been realized: she’s been thrown in the Black Citadel for being a Fireborn. Except she’s not a Fireborn — and for once, that’s a problem.

With her powers gone, it’s only a matter of time until the Council of Magic set her free. But is she truly free without her powers? She may have despised the target her gift painted on her back, but it was still hers. Who is she without it?

As if an identity crisis wasn’t bad enough, one of Sophia's friends goes missing, leaving behind a ruined, blood-stained house. Help comes to her in the form of an old enemy, one that causes problems between herself, Fiona, and Adam.
Add to that an evil sea witch bent on destroying the world, and Sophia won’t have time to feel sorry for herself. The question is: how will she make it through this without her magic?

Magic Unbound is the fourth book in the Touched By Magic: Dragon urban fantasy series.

This book features strong heroines and a powerful hero, perfect for fans of Linsey Hall, Ella Summers, Izzy Shows, and Jasmine Walt.

The romance still sadly is very PG but other then that it’s a good series.

This book starts off with our female protagonist in a magical prison, then her release. Reuniting with her friends and fae best friend/ sister. ( sadly this book never did touch on what favour she’s going to owe the fae court, but that will happen eventually I’m assuming)

Basically all the “gods” the evil man spent so much time reawakening was for nothing as they are all defeated after epic battles.

The twins are now in the same team & some memories have come back. Adam’s younger dragon shifting brother came to help in the fight at the end it was nice to hear more about him… I kinda hope he ends up with the other twin!

This book ends on a cliffhanger as there plane is shot down in the air.

Absorption of the brain

First, yes, cliffhangers stuck...
But that is the best part of any series of novels. This series of Sophia has sucked my brain into so much so that I have barely slept reading the books. There are times I forget the description and everything just plays out in my mind as I'm reading. My imagination doesn't get worked up by much but these books played each character and scene of in my head.

I don't comment on books, usually just give a start rating and that's it. I felt just a reading didn't do any justice to the author and the creative melding here. I can't wait for Magic Rising!

A truly wonderful series

I was more than a little skeptical when I started this series. It seemed to be a mash-up of some different series I had already read. Boy, was I wrong!!! While some characters are reminiscent of ones in the other series, what the author does with them is very different. They grow and matured into their own, wonderful characters and not copies of something else.
This series is a wonderful read but I would advise getting the entire series before you start reading book one because you are going to want to read one after another! Oh, and don’t expect to get much done once you start reading because they are difficult to put down!!!!

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this advance reader copy and was not compensated in any way.

Ok - Honestly? I just don’t know what to say - this book was such a rollercoaster ride that I was disappointed that it had to end. It is stuck in my head because so much happened so fast that I am still processing it all. It was amazing!!! Yes there is another cliff-hanger at the end but considering we are going into the last book in the series after this I am not surprised - I am just hoping it gets published soon. Keep up the awesome work Ms. Meira!!!!!!!

Holy Dragons Batman!

Wow!!! This series never ceases to amaze me! How absolutely awesome! Ok so first, the beginning of the book is quite sad and depressing. But, I feel like that was what needed to happen for the ending. That ending brought me to tears. It was beautiful. And scary. And heart wrenching. And I was gasping! It’s been a rollercoaster ride…. And I think the rollercoaster has come off the tracks. And I cannot wait to see what happens to Sophia and her crew in the last book! Also- I’m cheering for Diana! I need something good to come from this!!

A satisfying journey

In our journey with Sophia and Fiona, we have seen our heroine injured mentally and physically but she Finally matured after losing her fireborn powers. Without giving away details, Magic Unbound by Ashley Meira, fulfills the needs of our snarky sisters who are ever besieged by evil. Though satisfying, Sophia and Fiona never get a break. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series. Thank you for this book.

I'm ready for the next book

I really liked this book and the only thing I'd want to see changed is a recap at the beginning of the book because it took me a bit to remember what happened in the previous book. There were definitely some surprises in the book and I loved the action. Sophie has changed a lot, but she still has her spunk. It takes awhile for her spunk to return and it is worth the wait. I'm definitely going to reading the next book as soon as it comes out.

Action packed

Action packed as always. Love this book and was bummed I hate to wait so long for it, it was worth it though. Love the transition she goes through in this book. A little more whiny character shift in this book but it fits with what she's going through. Great read just can't stand the cliffhangers!! I'm impatient lol

I enjoyed the ending of this book....because it left you once again with a good WTH just happened cliff hanger...but I was put off in the beginning because I though Adam would have went through more to get his girl out of jail. It was a nice read and you learn a lot more about her missing memories.

Better late than never

I had to reread the last book, it had been so long I had completely forgotten the story. It was well written, good plot and great character development. I enjoyed the story and now the cliffhanger has me on edge over what is going to happen.

Great read!

This book surprised me the way Sophie attitude changed because of her lack of magic. But she still had fight left in her and persevere. I recommend the book in fact if you haven’t read the series yet you need to it’s very good.

Dragon's rock!

I love this series ! The way the characters come together to create a united front which pulls them into a family of misfits is the best. Now I have to wait as another Clift hanger looms over head

I thought this book was well written. It did not dwell so much on how she no longer has magic. Compared to the constant inner war the character has about having magic in the previous books. This book action went into the action with a little more detail of what is going on. The one thing I do not like is how the author tries to bring the reader up to date in what is going on which only happened a few times when reading. Other than that, loved it!! Ready for the next book.

Dull and Hard to follow

The book did not have a tight plot. It was something I ended up skimming because the book was not compelling enough to read the entire page. I gave up after the first few chapters. Don't waste your time on this book.

Fun action packed read

Well written with a few editing issued that fortunately didn't detract from the story. Fast paced action packed story which I couldn't out down. Can't wait for the next book

Sophia

I really hate this cliff hanging ending. I did not see this last chapter, which was a nice surprise. But again , not cool with the ending.
