Becca Gable is fighting to stay on her feet after a series of crushing losses. She’s always been the good girl until the events of the past year push her to make a mistake she can’t take back. Now, her corporate finance job and her fiancé are gone thanks to her newly-acquired criminal record.

Shane Marlow survived an IED blast during his service in Iraq—but half his team did not. Physically healed, he returns to his home county as a K9 officer. The scars of loss run deep and though local folks admire him, no one truly gets him—until Becca literally lands in front of him.

Their bond of shared tragedy evolves into a connection both fiery and healing. But a stalker decides that Becca’s crime should stay front and center. As the unsettling episodes reveal that no part of her life is secret, Shane is all that stands between her and the enemy.

Becca broke everyone’s trust the day she broke the law. She is still paying for her crime, she lost her boyfriend, her job and her dignity and now she has just face-planted in from of the hottest cop she has ever seen. Maybe things couldn’t get any worse…

Shane is the hometown hero, the soldier who came home alive, the beefy cop with the K-9 partner, but his demons still haunt him from the hell he endured in Iraq. To everyone else, he is a survivor, but his nightmares tell him differently. Then, like a dream, there she was, literally falling at his feet and like Cinderella, she flees, leaving behind something that is hers and only hers…and Shane is determined to meet this mystery woman.

Sharon Kay’s FALLING INTO RIGHT is one of “those reads.” You know the ones, your heart melts, your funny bone chuckles and the animal lover in you is in 7th heaven! Oh, and your urge to toss rotten tomatoes at the villain will make you wish you had a hard, fast and low curve ball in that throwing arm.

Both Becca and Shane know pain, loss and not being truly understood, maybe that’s why their chemistry is so perfect! Maybe Fate just knew that Becca would be needing a man like Shane and a dog like Denver to stand by her when a stalker decides she has not suffered enough for her past.

Once again, Sharon Kay brings her “A” game to the reading table and once again, sweet romance is up for grabs, but only after the tail wagging co-hero takes a bite out of crime!

ARC received for review

Becca made a mistake and has paid for it. She meets Shane, the local hero, and her rescues her from a puddle. Sparks fly each time they meet. They start dating and love follows, but Becca has a stalker to catch. Ms. Kay does a great job with the pain of depression, and ways to overcome it. There are lots of other peeps to get HEAs.

What a delightful gem that we have here.

Falling into Right is sweet, sexy with mild angst and great main characters.

Becca Gable made a mistake. A mistake caused through grief. We all process grief differently for Becca and her losses in a time span of a year I’m not condoning it but I do understand why she did it. After that she is trying to get her life back on track.

While on a trip to the county clerk office she has in inconvenient accident but is helped by our local Hero and his K9 dog Denver. The dog was the real star of the book here. I have a soft spot for animals. She is mortified grabs all her papers and runs off but forgets something.

My sympathy towards Becca was like a rollercoaster ride and all in all I like her. She stood by her mistake, owned and paid the price. But she was a bit of a moany when it came to her and her baggage. That she constantly reiterated the fact that she was a mess. It got tiresome in the long run.

Shane Marlow reluctant war Hero, he’d rather get on his life then be addressed by his status. He is lonely more than he realises but he doesn’t just want any woman. Nope. But when he sees Rebecca he can’t help but bring her license back to her.

I really like Shane, he made the book a fantastic read. I felt for him every step of the way and that he just wanted to forget and be left alone and to continue with his life. That someone is Becca.
And so a sweet romance starts I had a goofy smile on my face and enjoyed the chemistry of the main characters they complemented one another. But they both had pain and demons that they needed to work through. They do that together.

My favourite quote/scene in the book.

“Wow. Um, you have amazing boobs. Are they real?” Becca stopped blotting her shirt and just stared as if the girl had spoken another language. “What” “Kate! What’s wrong with you?” Her friend appeared mortified enough for the both of them. –LMAO – so good I had to read it twice.

To begin with I will always give a separate rating on my romances for their level of steaminess...that way if this is something that makes or breaks your potential to read a book, you are not wasting your time.
💖very mild. Either no sex at all or just eluded to.
💖💖 sex scenes are described in this book
💖💖💖little left to the imagination. The author is really painting you a picture
💖💖💖💖 wowzers! this could be the amount of sex, detail, dirty talk, etc.
I gave this book 4 stars, and 💖💖
Becca after one bad choice has lost her job, her fiance (no loss there...good riddance), her trust, and confidence.

Shane is a cop, veteran, all-around good guy, and the hometown hero!
An embarrassing meeting at the courthouse is the start of the romance for these two.

My thoughts:
This book kept me engaged from start to finish. I liked the subplot that added a lot of suspense! I really enjoyed both characters, and I was happy they found each other. It was the right time for both of them. Through tragedy in their own lives they were able to connect and understand each other in ways others couldn’t. It was a good cute read!

I did think some of the reactions of events were too dramatic/cheesy.

Overall a good read that I would recommend romance lovers check out!

I loved this story!!!
We first meet Shane Marlow as Rosie's older, protective brother in book 1, Record of Wrongs. As the hometown hero and K-9 officer in Sundown, Illinois, Shane seems like he has it all. But what no one knows is that Shane is haunted by the memories of his past and his service in Iraq. Now he just tries to take it day by day doing what he can to protect his family and the citizens of his community.

When Shane has a chance encounter with an unknown, beautiful woman it seems as if fate has finally decided to smile upon him. Becca Gable is coming out of what may have been the worst year of her life. While dealing with personal and professional losses, Becca is trying to regain some of her confidence and self esteem and Shane is just the man to help her.

The chemistry that builds between these two is incredible and so genuine. I love the connection that they have and when you add in Shane's K-9 partner, Denver, it is perfection! I would highly recommend this book (it can also be read as a stand-alone).

Falling into Right by Sharon Kay
Redemption County #2

Another wonderful book in this delightful series set in Redemption County, Illinois!

Becca Gable did something that changed her life forever. Unable to work in the field she trained for she has taken up a new job way under her skill set, paid the fine required by the court and is moving on to the best of her ability. As she is leaving the courthouse she slips, falls and lands at the feet of Shane Marlow and his K-9 partner, Denver. Shane is a hunk and a half, a war hero, a cop, a hottie and all around nice guy with the whole alpha thing going on that was splendid to read about and for Becca to experience. Becca is a sweetie, good friend, beautiful, open and honest with an openness and charm that was fun to read about and for Shane to experience. Shane has a bit of PTSD and Becca is dealing with a bad year and the fallout from what she has experienced – the two are there for one another, accepting of each other and feel stronger together.

The two should not meet again after seeing one another in the courthouse but when Shane shows up on her doorstep with Denver to return something she dropped things change…a bit…and then change more when they serendipitously meet again at his sister’s bar. Well, one date leads to another and another and boy do the two get along well together socially, emotionally and sensually (fanning myself here thinking about one scene in particular). Their relationship flows easily and it all feels “real” to me. Of course Becca has an evil stalker bothering her that has to eventually be dealt with and I had a pretty good idea who it was but all in all this was a book I could not put down once I started reading. I would love to have Becca and Shane as friends and live in their town. I REALLY liked this story and only bumped it down a bit in my rating because of the predictableness of who the stalker was.

Thank you to the author who bequeathed an ARC of this book to me through NetGalley – This is my honest review.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

How can you explain when grief makes you do inexplicable things? How can you forgive yourself afterwards? Becca has done something awful, and even though she has paid her debt to society, she still can't explain or forgive herself for what she has done.

Shane is a hometown hero, an Army sergeant who has survived an IED blast, and come home to become a K-9 cop. He can't forgive himself for surviving when so many of his men didn't.

After Becca literally falls at his feet, they come together in a sweet romance, showing that two broken people can help each other heal with love. Of course, there is someone who can't let go of Becca's past indiscretion, forcing her to constantly relive it, making her unable to truly forgive herself.

I'm so glad the author didn't use the typical lack of communication between the two main characters to drive the storyline and produce angst enough for the reader to question their HEA. Instead, she used her amazing writing abilities to bring the two characters and their nemesis together in a final showdown with a sweet HEA.

Falling Into Right is the second book in the terrific new Redemption County series by Sharon Kay. A highly entertaining, heartwarming romance with a bit of suspense that's a must read! The emotional roller-coaster of a story will pull you in right from the start, and hold tight long after the last word is read. With awesome main characters you can't help but love, a K-9 companion that will steal your heart, humor, witty banter, pain and suffering from a past that can not be changed, as well as intriguing twists and turns, this heartfelt book will be impossible to put down until the very end. This was a fantastic story, and a great addition to this incredible series.

I absolutely loved Shane, Becca, and of course Denver, Shane's K-9 partner. Although both of them suffered from tragedies in their pasts, still grieving over those who they lost, they're both ready to start living again, instead of just existing. What they find in one another is someone who actually sees them for who they are, understands them, and even though they're weary about opening up to someone new, they know that what they have is something special.

However, Becca's not so distant past is coming back with a vengeance. Can Becca and their new relationship survive everything that her stalker has in store for her? Will Shane be able to figure out who's behind all of the attacks on her, and why? Will Shane and Denver be able to keep Becca safe from the danger that's closing in? Will they get the HEA that they both want and very much deserve? This is one story that you won't want to miss!

One of my favorite parts of the story (& no, it's not that much of a spoiler, I hope!) is Shane's reaction to what Becca did to get her new police record. I honestly thought that this would be a large angsty part of the story, but I was thrilled with the surprise of how it played out! These two had such an incredible emotional bond almost from the beginning, and their chemistry was electric, so much that you could almost feel it pour off of the pages. I loved that there was no insta-love between them. Lust- of course, but they got to know one another before the heavy emotions came into play, which was great.

If you haven't read this series, I suggest that you start from the beginning. You'll get to read amazing stories about finding redemption (which was a perfect name for the series!), learn about each couple, and the dynamics of the quirky residents of their small town. You won't be disappointed!

I strongly recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

4.5 out of 5 stars

I received a copy of this story for an honest review.

What I Loved: Sharon Kay has crafted a beautiful gem with Falling Into Right. Sometimes people make bad choices. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Leads Shane and Becca felt very real as they struggled not to forget their painful pasts but to find a way to move forward and start new chapters in their lives. I loved that Becca never made excuses for actions that threw her life into chaos. She owned it. Not going to lie, Shane's open acceptance of her past and effort to move forward made me tear up. The overall story has a strong, steady build and as Shane and Becca fell for each other I totally fell for them as well. Heartfelt emotion aside, there are plenty of steamy bedroom scenes to get your blood pumping.

What I Didn't Love: Not much to dislike about this beautiful story of love and finding the ability to not start over but move on from hurtful parts of life.

Favorite Quotes:

"But life didn't ask which memories you wanted. It just threw them at you, some good, and some shitty. Some stuck with you forever, while others drifted down like paper debris after an explosion, shredded and ready to disintegrate."

"Sometimes, there's no reason for why thing happen."

"I was completely lost until I fell down in front of you."

Falling Into Right
is a standalone novel, you do not have to read Record of Wrongs (Redemption County Book 1) to enjoy. I highly recommend both reads.

Happy reading.

I've gone and done it again...found a great series and missed the first book! That will soon be rectified though.

Rebecca has faced a lot in the 12 months. She has lost 2 babies, lost her mother and been dumped by her fiancee when she dared to tarnish HIS public image! She buckled under the stress and did something that she would never have normally done. She has paid her debt to society, she lost her accounting job and her fiancee but fate...or a stalker doesn't believe she has paid enough yet.

Shane is seen by most residents of his home town as a hero but he just sees himself as a survivor. He wants to get on with his job with his K9 partner and not live in the limelight. But this guy couldn't walk away from anyone in danger..or a woman who almost face plants right beside him!

They should be all wrong for each other, after Becca's law-breaking and Shane's upright job in law enforcement but love doesn't fall the rules!

Egad this was good! Becca and Shane are dealing with depression, loss and anxiety in their own ways. Denver is a very silent but very large part of the story and he just captures your heart with all his doggie charm. The fact that he manager to get a bite out the bad guy just added to his charm! His fellow cops and his family all encase Becca in their warmth and love and I loved that their was no condemnation of her past.

The villain of the piece is particularly odious and creepy and I'd have gladly gone to jail for sluggin the chump! Fab read!

Facing up to past mistakes is never easy, and Becca is finding that her momentary emotional insanity has cost her more than she ever thought possible. However the day she literally falls at Shane's feet is her turning point. There is instant attraction between the guilt stricken Becca and the war hero, but it is his dog that steals the show. Meeting up with Shane brings about healing and a re-evaluation of Becca's life, helping her to realise that she is not beyond redemption. Shane, on the other hand, is still dealing with the ghosts of his lost team members in "the sandpit" and in Becca he finds her presence like a healing balm to his spirit. However, not everyone wants to see Becca regain her self-confidence and a systematic attack on her integrity is launched, bringing about tension and self-doubt. I love Shane's kind and generous character, and as Becca starts on the road to emotional recovery, her bubbly personality comes to the fore. Denver's presence throughout the story is delightful and it's his unconditional acceptance of his humans that brings about the comfort that they need. I found the story a little repetitive in parts but the romantic nature of the book was sweet. Although this book is part of a series, it is a standalone with a satisfying ending. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

The second book in the series, and we met Shane Marlow deputy sheriff and Denver his German Shepard in the first book. He is wanting to go through each day without being noticed as a hero as he was described years ago in the local paper. Seeing a woman slip and fall in the county court house he goes to help her up and gather her items and he is taken by her beauty. Becca Gable cannot feel anymore embarrassed about this day and how her life has turned out. Now seeing and being helped by a hansom Deputy. She can only wish she could get back into dating after her fiancé dumped her. Shane ends up going to her home later that evening because he found her driver’s license, and this begins little runs in until they finally go on a date. They each have secrets that have not shared with others including their close friends. They find that they are good for each other and Denver really takes to her. When letters appear at her work, home, and he figures that she is being stalked they must figure out who is doing it and why? A very good story with good love scenes and a little bit of mystery. Overall a good book. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com

First I want to point out that the only reason it took me 3 days to read this book was my life didnt allow for alot of reading time - IT PAINED ME TO PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!

I was dying for Shane's book from the first moment we met him and Denver in book 1.

Shane is a hero, a relunctant one, one who feels guilty he survived when his team didnt. Becca made one bad choice, and lost her job qnd fiancee. Their meeting is by chance but it sizzles on the page.

The plot is easy to follow, and I really appreciated the time we spent with Cruz and Rosie and the little update on their story.

A fantastic read, now I am in a book hangover begging for details for Book 3!

I preordered this title as soon as the links were up - I will be doing the same for Book 3!

4.5 I'm moving to Redemption County stars

Loved Shane and Becca's romance <3

We first met Shane in book 1, his a copper as we would say in the UK or otherwise known as a police officer, his also a veteran. His an easy going guy that enjoys his work as the K9 officer in the county.

Becca is a good person that made a mistake when she was at her lowest but she has to live with the consequences of her actions - one consequence is that she meets a hot policeman while at the courthouse.

The author takes their story slowly to begin with, well not really slowly but takes the time for the characthers to get know one another, I really enjoyed the 'courting' and the first kiss moments. The sexual attraction between the two builds each meeting or text they exchange.

The setting is a small town where everyone seems to know everyone. I like this setting it makes me want to move to a small American town!

The story is sweet and sexy and easy to read. It has some angst built into the story, but generally centres around the romance, so I would say low angst.

I'm looking forward to reading more from this series and author.

Falling Into Right is wonderful, sexy read with strong emotional issues and fabulous characters. I was annoyed to realise that once again I have stumbled upon what promises to be a great series, yet I’ve missed the first book! Looks like I’ll be going shopping.

But back to Falling Into Right; Becca is a tragic character with a wealth of grief, guilt and self-doubt while struggling to get her life on track, while our hero Shane bears the deep emotional scars of war and the pain of having survived when many of his comrades fell. But the real star of this heart-wrenching story is Denver, Shane’s K-9 buddie and all round best dog ever!

Falling Into Right is a passionate, heartbreaking rollercoaster ride that will make you laugh, cry and hold your breath hoping for a HEA.

I was more than ready for to get into this one with the story calling my name. I also realized this is the first time for this author for me which makes for double interesting. The lure is Becca whom is one character you can relate to but she also has some wrong choices you groan when they happened. When hers and Shane's paths cross that is when you are in for the duration because he also courted you with how he was. The story is one that keeps you going with them because the answers begin looming on the horizon. The chemistry is one that lights one under you also as you follow them. Stayed with htis all the way to the end.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.(netgalley) We have two people who are trying to forget their past. We meet Becca who had a past mistake and it was a big one I have to admit and she is having a hard time letting it go, that was the part that kind of got tiresome for me the repetition, yes you did yes you made a huge mistake but now it is time to move on and learn from them. Anyhoo she ends up meeting Shane who is also having a hard time letting go of some things from the past, he broke my heart but it was nice reading of these two being just what the other needed, if only someone wasn't trying to make sure Becca does not forget..

The whole time I was reading Falling Into Right, I was thinking that another title could have been, Falling Apart and Doing What's Right. Becca could have made excuses for the choices that she made. Although she's not sure why she made them, she owns her mistakes and tried to make it right. You'd think that would be the end of it. But for Becca and Shane it's the beginning, of their story at least. Lucky for her, not only does she have Shane keeping her safe but also his K-9 dog, Denver.

This is Book #2 in the Redemption County series.  This was a great read.  Shane Marlow is a K9 Officer and he helps a young lady who fell in the courthouse.  Becca had to get everyone to trust her again after a huge mistake she made.  They both have been through a lot and they understand each other.

This is a sweet romance with a bit of mystery thrown in.  Who has been leaving letters in the mail?  I had an idea of who this was.  I am surprised that Becca did not see that, too.

A cute, romantic story that was fairly predictable but that had strong character development. The suspect was easily identifiable which is my only complaint in this story; I would have loved to read about a little more suspense when it came to this story.

Great story. I have been waiting for Shane’s story since reading Record of Wrongs. Shane is a wonderful character, good looking, kind, caring and carries a past of sadness that is almost overwhelming at times. Becca made huge mistake and is fighting all odds to overcome her guilt and get her life back on track. This story had a great romance, a dog I fell in love with, and a villain. I highly recommend both books in this series and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is the story of Becca Gable, whose life seems to be going down hill, and when she is coming out of the courts after paying the fines and returning funds for the mistaken embezzlement she takes one last fall and meets up with Shane Marlow and his K9 Denver.
Shane has his own problems after returning from Iraq where all his teammates were killed in a IED and being named a hero, and then becoming a K9 police officer. He meets Becca and there is instant attraction, but before he can get her number she is running off. But later he finds her driver’s license and returns it to her.
This was a great story of love between two people who can heal each other of past tragedies. And when Becca gets a stalker who doesn’t seem to want to let her forget about the embezzlement, Shane is there for her 100%.
Can’t wait to read the next instalment in the Redemption County series by Sharon Kay.

I am loving this series, I say series but they’re standalones. You definitely don’t need to have read Record of Wrongs to fully enjoy this book. I read that Sharon Kay planned on releasing three books – firstly, who is the next book about? A girl has to know! Secondly, I don’t think three is going to be enough. Please, please, please give me more. Sharon has a way of writing that just grabs you and immerses you into the story. You feel the emotions the characters feel, you get invested in their story and you anxiously keep turning the pages to see what happens next.

This is a beautiful story that I think everyone should read. Both Shane and Becca have experienced severe loss, this is their story of finding a little light in the dark and moving on. Putting past mistakes behind them and helping each other to deal with past events. It’s raw, it’s beautiful and you’re going to want to spend some time visiting with them. This book gives you the opportunity as a reader to view depression from various viewpoints and I think it’s so important to give you an understanding of how it can change a person without them really knowing it or why. It’s hard for both the person and the family. I laughed, I cried, and I swooned in equal measure. This book also includes a little intrigue and I wasn’t surprised by the eventual outcome, for me, it could only have been one person.

Shane Marlow is one heck of a guy. Ok, I’ll admit it, I fell a little bit in love with him. I liked him in Record of Wrongs and was looking forward to his story and it didn’t disappoint. He was the perfect tortured hero. He was sweet, yet commanding. Charming and sexy. He had his demons and worked hard to hide them. Of course, Becca was able to climb his walls and get into his head and his heart to help him heal.
Becca Gables was quite the woman. I loved that although she was dealing with a lot she went out on a limb and agreed to a date with Shane. He really was the best person to help her deal with her losses and move on with her life. Yes, she made a mistake, but that guilt was eating her up inside. Shane gave her the boost to start to forgive herself.
We need to take a moment to talk about Denver. He was the star of the show for sure. I just adored him. Every scene he was in was cleverly done and written beautifully.

I loved that this book included dates, I don’t remember the last book I read that actually had the couple going on dates. It was such a wonderful way to experience the growth of their relationship. The attraction between the two of them was palpable from the moment they met but it was nice to watch that become something more, where neither of them could fight it. The sexy time scenes were smoking and fit really well within the storyline. You might want to take a cold shower later on. I loved that there wasn’t any conflict between the two of them, they fell hard for each other and made the relationship work.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The past year's tragedies, the death of her mother and 2 miscarriages, have caught up to Becca and in order to feel some control over her life she does something really stupid and now she is paying the price. She has lost her jobs, both of them and her fiancé. She now works at a Senior Center, a job she truly loves but is a far fall from being an accountant.

Shane is a local policeman and his partner is a dog named Denver. He served overseas and has the scars to prove it, physical and especially emotional. His entire team dies in an IED blast, leaving only him and his survivor's guilt. His hometown calls him a Hero which he hates because he doesn't feel he is one.

Shane and Becca meet at the Courthouse, he patrolling and her paying a fine. Unfortunately it was when she slipped and fell after walking in a puddle of spilled drink. Despite her humiliation, there is an attraction between the two. Later, when Shane finds her driver's license that didn't make it back into her purse with the rest of stuff he decides to take it to her himself. A few days later, she and her friend go out and she sees Shane at the bar/restaurant. They talk, have a drink and decide to go out on a date.

They start to see one another socially and they really are good for one another. Some of the town's people look at them strangely...the hero and the thief. Strange things are happening to Becca though. She feels as if she is being watched, like someone has been in her home.

Can Becca and Shane deal with this as they try to deal with their personal issues and learn to know one another?

I loved this this story from beginning to end! The author's writing drew me right into their story and kept me going til the end. The story's flow was great and it moved along nicely.

Shane and Becca are both good people who are emotionally hurting. The support they gave one another was amazing and I am really jealous because I want my own Shane!! They are patient with one another while they learn to forgive themselves for issues that were out of their control.

Now...Becca's ex-fiancé? Total ass. Doesn't deserve the time of day from anyone. His job is local government and of course he aspires for more but he always treated Becca like she didn't have a brain, which infuriates me. He never supported her while she went through her losses, thinking "she would get over it". It was all about him and his public image.

As I said before, I loved this story and look forward to more from this author!
