After reading the Wildsam field guide to the desert southwest a few weeks ago, I’ve been kind of obsessed with these guides — so I picked up one on San Antonio while shopping at the Pearl and read it at a restaurant on the riverwalk. I have to say the city-specific guides didn’t impress me much as the ones that explore an entire region — but it was nice to learn a bit about the history and culture of San Antonio.
