“Sweetheart, you are the perfect omega for me. I accept you for are, who you used to be, and the person that you will become."
Maxx has been waiting for a mate of his own. He's watched every alpha in his pack from his older brother to his best friends, all couple up one by one with omegas to call their own. Maxx has always believed in fate, and he knows that Fenris above has the perfect wolf fated to be his mate. It's just a matter of when they will meet.
Oskar doesn't believe in fated mates, nor does he want a mate at all for that matter. After dealing with a vicious ex, Oskar doesn't want to ever have to answer to an alpha again. Besides, who would want an over-sized Alpha looking Omega like him anyway? What he doesn't expect, is to meet a little wolf alpha that makes his big bear heart turn to goo.
This is the sixth book of the Northern Lodge Pack series. Every book is about 30k and guaranteed to have an HEA. You can read them on their own, but it's advised to read them in order for maximum appreciation. 18+ readers only please! And yes, this book contains M/PREG, knotting, adults doing lots of sexy naughty things to each other, and way more than the occasional use of potty mouth language.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
Each of the stories in the series focuses on a different relationship dynamic, and I really enjoyed Omega Accepted. It's a good body positive romance..., and I always like a smaller alpha with the larger omega.
This book had me on the edge.. Poor Oskar and Max. Right from the beginning they had such a struggle to get to their fated mating and HEA, everything just seemed to be set against them. All the stuff that Oskar went through previously and has to deal with in this book. I was terrified when his horrible ex showed up, even when the Bear Alpha came to help, idk why he let it get as far as it did before he stepped in. But, Max was the perfect mate for Oskar, he made sure that Oskar always felt safe with him and I think that was a huge relief for Oskar knowing he could depend on Max to not hurt him no matter what happens. I think this book was one of the harder stories to hear in this fluffier cute series. But I've liked each and every book and couple so far and this one was no different.
Audio - I think John is an awesome narrator. And I really enjoy all the different vocal inflections he can give us even during just one book. I think the emphasis he puts on the bears Accents are so much fun to hear and listen to and totally go so well with their character traits. Another great narration..
Another good book, I enjoyed reading Maxx and Oskars story, it made a change that Oskar wasn't your usual omega stereotype body instead being tall and built more along alpha lines. A sweet read.
Once again it felt like the author was in a hurry to get this book published and it showed. There was so much potential left undeveloped in these characters and their relationship. This author can do better and it's such a disappointment when she fails to take the time to properly develop a story.
This was one of the better stories in the series. I really like Maxx as an alpha who isn't all screwed up to start with and was also comfortable enough with himself to completely welcome a mate who almost out-alphas him in terms of build and appearance. Maxx was really sweet and not pushy at all with his skittish mate-to-be; he was perfectly happy to take the other alphas' advice and give his prospective mate the room to heal. Oskar was a darling, so in need of someone tender and loving like Maxx. This book has the distinction of NOT having a heat (I don't mean to be spoilerish but this is really important for some readers). Don't worry, there's a nice pregnancy. The one thing that felt completely unrealistic to me (and way too melodramatic) was Oskar's backstory with his last partner (not actually a mate). If this character had been a man the story would have made sooooo much more sense. Oksar is supposed to be built like a brick house--how did a woman assault and abuse him like that? Also they were supposed to have been trying for Oskar to conceive--whaaaaat? Other than that, a great a-typical story and good read. I'm also pleased to say that the really bad editing that has plagued this series has been cleaned up a lot here, not perfect but way better. I'll be looking forward to Ryan and Ivan's story.
OK this was by far my favorite book of the series so far, Oskar is amazing!
This is a wonderful story about Oskar who comes to stay with the pack for reasons only a few know about. He is easily mistaken for an alpha due to his unusually large size, but he is in face an omega. Maxx instantly scents him and knows that the heartbreakingly sweet Oskar is his fated mate. It takes Maxx some convincing though to persuade Oskar to look through the horrors of his past, value himself, and follow his heart.
Oskar and Maxx simultaneously broke my heart and healed it. Oskar’s history was so rough and he really deserved unwavering belief and support that Maxx was able to provide him. I loved the way that he was so openly accepted into the pack and how despide what he was lead to believe his whole life, everyone worked to show him that his size and stature made no difference on him as an omega.
The narration was perfect! I even went back to check that the narrator was the same as the previous because his range of voices is so incredible. His accent is fantastic and the more I listen to him the more I continue to be blown away by how talented he is!
The dynamic between these two was is one of my favorite heelin stories. If you have to pick just one from the series this is it!
This is the sixth book in The Northern Lodge Pack Series. This is for the audiobook version. A fascinating book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Maxx is an Alpha and Oskar is an Omega and they are the MC’s of this book and mates. There was humor, wolves, shifters, friends and family, mates, a vicious ex, camping, attacks, past abuse and so much more in this book.
Although the narrators voice didn’t work for me. Unfortunately, I am very picky about voices. His voice did work for the story however. He did a good job narrating. He wasn’t monotone, and each character had their own voice. These are the 2 most important things for a narrator to do. So overall it was well done. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
I loved this particular Alpha (small)/Omega (big) dynamic and loved Maxx’s care and sweetness he has around and for Oskar. Oskar is just adorable and I felt for him and his past. The dynamics between Maxx and Oskar are great, sweet and steamy.
While a somewhat short story I felt Susi did great to pack so much into a novella length story and great chemistry, a little healing, and danger into the story too. While enjoying this story I felt there was so much more that could have been explored!
P.S.: I only ‘read’ this story to follow on better to the Northern Pines Den series but feel this was still a great story that could be read as a standalone if you felt inclined.
Great narration by John Solo. He does great dialects, tones and had the perfect story flow. Very talented and will continue to be on my top list of narrators!
I like Oskar best and completely understood his insecurities. All I can say is his ex-Alpha is evil. I am so glad he got away and found Maxx.
This story is cheesy at times and had me giggling at some of the over-the-top things they said to each other, but I loved it. So far this maybe my favorite story. My only issue was the narrator didn’t always keep Oskar’s Russian accent, making it hard at times to know who was talking.
I ended up listening to the story twice because I enjoyed Maxx and Oskar’s interactions, not only with each other but the other shifters as well. I find all the characters, minus the ex-Alpha, are sweet, kind hearted and genuinely care for each other.
What a very interesting surprise this turned to be. How creative to introduce a different type of Omega. He was far from the typical smaller, shorter, twink sized Omegas that their Alphas' easily & happily carried and held on their laps.
Oskar a very large Bear whose designation surprised many because he was so masculine in size and appearance. He suffered from years of bullying, verbal, and physical abuse. He tried to act tough but his fated saw through the facade he'd erected.
Despite being frustrated with his Omega, Wolf Alpha Max's knew he had a lot to prove to Oskar, especially convincing him that because of his appearance Oskar was the exactly the perfect Omega for Maxx. But obstacles and danger almost cost them their HEA.
Very much enjoyed this book! Maxx has to be the sweetest Alpha and the way he cares for Oskar is beautiful. Oskar is a big bear of an omega that is just so lovable you want to wrap him up in your arms and never let go! I really enjoyed this book and watching how Maxx was patient with Oskar and helped him come to terms on his own about what he wants their relationship to be.
The narration was great, John Solo once again does a great job of differentiating the voices of the characters so that you always know who is talking or thinking.
Maxx impressed me with how he was so in tune with his mate. He noticed the little things that affected Oskar and set out to reassure him that he was perfect just as he was. Seeing Oskar's ex in action was awful but Maxx was there to help and reassure Oskar. It was lovely to see Oskar come out of his shell and embrace, not only his relationship with Maxx, but the man that he was inside. Highly recommended author and series
Cute, quick read. Most m/m shifter books have the alpha as tall, big and macho with the omega being short and slim. This particular book has the alpha as slender with a swimmers build and shorter than the omega who is said to have the physique of a bodybuilder. It was nice to see a flip in what is typically the norm. Just because you’re a tall, muscular guy doesn’t mean you can’t be sensitive and care more about children and what can be called “feminine” pursuits. I really liked this book.
Like many of your stories they're always amazing brilliant to read this one reminded me of Lady Gaga's Born This Way song. It was my favorite is brilliant I loved everything in it I felt his anguis and his happiness and has pain in his acceptance. Of himself. Alpha Mikael was sexy.
Omega Accepted was a sweet, heartbreaking, and wonderful story. It was full of emotional issues, drama, angst, but with a wonderful ending. You won't want to miss this one! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.
Another great add to the series. Oskar and Maxx met and sparks fly but with a bear who has a horrible past and scared, Maxx needs to show him what love means. You'll feel for Oskar and want to kick his exs butt for sure. We get to see more about that storyline, enemies are growing and things are going to get worse. We see more of the Bears from the Den and I can't wait to see where we go now.
This was such a sweet read. I loved that Max wouldn't give up, and that Oskar was at least willing to see where things would go while giving himself time to heal. I'm so glad that they got their HEA; the only thing that would made this better was if Oskar had gotten a good nite or claw into Yvonne.
I get why some like this, I guess. But oof. That dialogue was unreadable. And jeez, insta-everything. Which, yeah, is omegaverse, and why I tend not to read much omegaverse, but this thing just went zero to sixty in -5.2 seconds.
I came here for the physically bigger omega, but this one just had too much working against it for my tastes.
I've loved this whole series and this was no exception. Oskar being such a different omega while Max was a different kind of Alpha too that perfectly matched what Oskar needed. Just loved it.💗
I really loved Oskar and Maxx. I would have l like more exploration of their pasts and relationship just because I really liked them as a couple and as individuals
I really loved how this story was different to the other stories in the series. I love how we got to know Oskar's past and how both him and Maxx settled as mates and eventually accepted each other as mates. It definitely was an emotional rollercoaster
It was a little short for my likeness and I'm a sucker for big omegas, loved Maxx as an alpha accepting Oskar boundaries but would have loved more chapters and a little more development, still a great ABO "quick" read
DNF- nice premise but not feeling the writing. Having the omega speak like a Victorian lady didn’t help nor did the first five pages of info dumping about dozens of other characters. At 30% they’ve already had sex.
