The Alien Who Fell to Earth

Rate this book
Pilot. Guard. Prisoner. ... Stowaway.

Crashed in the Georgia woods, all are lost on a world where aliens are the stuff of science fiction. But what if the locals are far from human themselves, with secrets of their own?

Holden Grigori is lost on an alien world, and his memories are just as lost. All he knows is a beautiful woman says she's his wife, she loves him and he'd do anything for her.

Security specialist Victoria Greene's mission is to find the heroic pilot of a downed spaceship and keep him safe while he recovers in a human hospital in the Halloween-themed town of Nocturne Falls, Georgia. Part of her ongoing mission is, as always, to keep the humans from realizing that aliens walk among them, hiding in plain sight.

Pretending to be Holden's wife is far from a hardship. Falling in love with him is even easier. But what will happen when he gets his memories back and realizes that to him she is ... no one.

Fiona Roarke is a multi-published author who lives a quiet life with the exception of the characters and stories roaming around in her head. She writes about sexy alpha heroes and used them to launch her very first series, Bad Boys in Big Trouble.

Next up, a new Sci-Fi contemporary romance series set in Arkansas. When she's not curled on the sofa reading a great book or at the movie theater watching the latest action film, Fiona spends her time writing about the next bad boy (or bad boy alien) who needs his story told.

A hearty dose of laughter, each and every day, is required along with lots of coffee first thing in the morning as important parts of her routine.

This is the third Nocturne Falls Universe Story by this author and it follows Close Encounters Of The Alien Kind, story of the prisoner, and  Invasion of the Alien Snatchers, story of the guard.
The final rescue story focuses on the pilot of the space ship that crashed in Nocturne Falls and his rescuer. This was the best story of the three, because it is longer, more detailed, the romantic aspect is more wonderful, and it contains a secondary story.
The main characters Holden and Victoria are delightful. Holden is suffering a memory loss and Victoria is helping him get through it. Their interactions are funny and serious and sizzling. Victoria is strong, independent and inventive character. She can do anything. Holden, however incapacitated, is still there holding his own. Great characters indeed.
The secondary characters, Astrid, the accidental passenger and Bubba aka. Bartholomew Angus Thorne, the tracker from the Royal Guard sent to find her, are equally interesting and have equally sizzling encounters, regardless of their story being slightly shorter. The author managed to incorporate all the important details for character development.
The world of Alienn and Alpha-Prime is also being explored and we learn more about it.
The interactions of all four characters with the Nocturne Falls  inhabitants are really well written and incorporated into both worlds. This book features more Nocturne Falls characters than the previous ones and although the rescue is complete, I hope the author is planning more of the cross-over stories.
Alienn, Arkansas series contains four books at the moment: You’ve Got Aliens (Alienn, Arkansas Book 1), Close Encounters Of The Alien Kind: A Nocturne Falls Universe story (prisoner), Invasion of the Alien Snatchers: A Nocturne Falls Universe story (guard), The Alien Who Fell to Earth: A Nocturne Falls Universe Story (pilot), and the fifth book How to Lose an Alien in 10 Days, (Alienn Arkansas Book 2) is coming soon.
Nocturne Falls universe contains 16 books at the moment with eight new books coming now. Original Nocturne Falls series contains eight books and four short stories, as well as three books of the Jayne Frost spin off series.
All of the series are great entertaining light read and I highly recommend them.

The Alien Who Fell to Earth by Fiona Roarke

From the kindle world of Nocturne Falls by Kristen Painter, this is the third sub-plot alien novella. It can stand alone. It's the best written of the three.

This novella has two central plot lines/couples. The first is the pilot and he can't remember his past. I liked the emotional openness of him and his acceptance of his wife. I don't want to include spoilers but felt his pain when he heard the truth. But don't worry, it's romance, so of course we get the happy ending. The second storyline is a stowaway on the crashed ship that has been betrayed her whole life by her family. She finally finds friendship, trust and caring on Earth. Her very nature is trusting, open and naive.
The two separate, yet connected stories made for happy and entertaining reading.

Excerpt explaining Nocturne Falls inhabitants:
“Cam shook his head. “The thing is, we have an understanding with the leadership there.”
“The leadership of Nocturne Falls?”
“Yep. They have a similar situation to the one we have here.”
Bubba squinted, not sure he understood. “They’re aliens, too?”
“Not exactly,” Diesel said under his breath.
“Then what exactly?”
The brothers traded another look. “They are supernaturals,” Diesel said.
Bubba blinked in surprise. “What, like spirits, ghosts and ghouls?”
“No. Like vampires, witches and werewolves.”
Bubba only blinked, unsure he’d heard the Fearless Leader correctly.
Diesel leaned closer, adding, “And gargoyles and shifters and dragons.”
"Oh my.”

I’m not usually a big reader of alien books but I have to say that if there’s any like this author’s then they may soon become my favorite. This was a wonderful and unique addition to Nocturne Falls. What a creative author. While this one can be read as a stand alone, don’t hesitate to pick up the others prior to this one. You won’t be sorry.

a easy wrap up

Nice story. Seemed a little rushed towards the end. But as they say everyone lives happily ever after. The end

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Holden crashed on Earth + lost his memory
Victoria was only supposed to retrieve Holden.
When Holden is too hurt to endure the trip, Victoria will have to wait until Holden is strong enough
In order to avoid the hospital's red tape, Victoria pretend to be Holden's wife.
Hopefully Holden will regain his memory, and Victoria can stop pretending to be his wife.
or does Victoria really wants to stop pretending ?
Who can blame her ?
Holden is a hottie.
Very charming story.
You going to have to read the book to find out the outcome. He He He

The third of Roarke's connected alien stories, this ties up all the threads into a lovely bow. Dealing with the Pilot -AND an unexpected stowaway!- this story expands our knowledge of Alpha-Prime while introducing us to a number of interesting characters. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

This is a great book; this books was written by Fiona Roarke. This book is also part of the Nocturne Falls Kindle World which is written by Kristen Painter. I was so happy that these new books by new authors were asked to write a story in the town. Nocturne Falls is a town that celebrates Halloween every day of the year and also a place that paranormal’s can live and not have to hide what they really are. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Series: Alienn, Arkansas #2.25; Nocturne Falls Universe
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Victoria Greene was sent to Nocturne Falls to help retrieve the members of the crashed spaceship. When she finds the pilot, Holden Grigori, in the hospital with a concussion and no memory, she pretends to be his wife to stay close to him. But what is going to happen once he regains his memory.

This book was short but very good. I quite enjoyed Victoria and Holden’s story. Victoria was an enjoyable and tough heroine. She was just doing her duty at first but she quickly becomes attached to Holden. Holden was a sweet man without his memory. Regaining his memory made him appear more protective and dangerous, but still sweet to Victoria.

This book also featured a second romance. Bubba Thorne falls for his target who is also hiding in Nocturne Falls. Their story and relationship is on the side but it seemed so sweet. I kind of wished they had their own book because I would have liked to have seen him woo Astrid. This was just a great SciFi novella set in Nocturne Falls.

The third book in Fiona Roarke's Nocturne Falls books tied up the storylines of the previous books and you got two love stories for the price of one. We are reunited with past characters and get to see more of their happily ever after, all while learning that Plan B really is best. I hope to see more from this series and we get to see how our couples live beyond their stories. I highly recommend reading all 3 of the previous stories in by Fiona both in Alienn and Nocturne Falls before reading this book as you may feel lost in the story without the background laid out in those stories. Fiona does a great job with storytelling, but much of the story is based on the assumption you've read the books. She doesn't re-explain her technology or the past events and characters for new readers.

The Nocturne Falls Universe stories are a fun way to take up time while we all wait impatiently for the next Nocturne Falls book to be released and this story is the 3rd installment from Fiona and features more of her aliens. Aliens in Nocturne Falls - yes you read that correctly and although this is the 3rd part this, unlike some of the other novellas, still works totally as a stand alone in my opinion (although the background info on the alien part is always nice).

A cute read, and it is always fun to see how new species can be merged in to things - well I think so anyway.

A solid 4 stars from me!

Another alien story from Fiona Roarke. If you’ve read all Nocturne Falls Universe books, you would see that this is the third book in her alien stories. It’s completely standalone book though. No worries really.

The book was kind of short, but sweet and enjoyable. A fresh story among NFU as aliens were not exactly supernatural, but they’re different from humans. It’s also include some kind of conclusion to the three stories at the end, so I don’t know whether there will be more alien books in NFU.

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

I think the idea of introducing Aliens into this series was a masterstroke and I've loved all three of Fiona Roarke's Nocturne Falls Universe stories, and this third one is my favourite.
Although it could be read as a stand alone novel it works best if read as the third part of a trilogy after 'Close Encounters of the Alien Kind' and 'Invasion of the Alien Snatchers'.
Well written, fun and totally enjoyable this is one of my fave Nocturne Falls books - I like Fiona's style and will be checking out her 'Alien' series soon! :D

Couples all around.

I did enjoy the tag team idea of the two romances going concurrently which kept the memory loss and the hidden secrets from going stale. I loved the ending even if I did find the overall reason for the crash set up very much left unexplained! It was ana interesting end to the trilogy and nice to see almost all the ends tied up!

Alien MF romance. Continuation of previous book, but here we focus on different people. The action bounces around between stories like a ping-pong ball. In each, an alien sent to retrieve someone lost or in trouble ends up falling in love with their quarry. Minimal interaction with the Nocturne Falls supes.

This concluded the stories of the three Alpha's on the space ship, with a surprise one thrown in! I really enjoyed it, loved the couples Victoria & Holden and Bubba & Astrid! I love how they come together with the previous two couples for a last mission in the epilogue!

The alien who fell to earth...great story

Not a full book length story but the author packs a lot into it. More than one romance, which didn't feel at all manipulated. Good writing. i loved the characters. I also love the Nocturne Falls tie in. I will read more by this author.

so many couples!

This one got a little convoluted, or maybe that was just me reading all night. But I like convoluted. Lots of details and a few twists. Nods to old friends. And Fiona Roarke is again one of my favorite authors.
