Start to a GREAT adventure!

Normally I don’t want anything to do with zombie movies or books but this is a whole different twist in this genre. The fact you are seeing this through the eyes of law enforcement and military eyes COMPLETELY changes the perspective. Fast moving, intense and in several instances, humorous. WARNING! If you did any growing up in or around Atlanta, this will hit home! I’m immediately jumping into book two!

Loved it!

Great zombie action with a CDC police force trained to be zombie killers. It was impossible to put down. This seemed so realistic, and more like how a real zombie virus would hit our country. The characters were well written and the plot was very developed and exciting. Love the zombie genre then read this book!

Interesting perspective from a policeman’s point of you, don’t care for the romance between the boss and her subordinate.

This is a fast-paced story. So far a good cast of characters. I just have a few problems with the book that kept me from rating it with five stars first of all you are a hunting zombies why would you keep shouting at them to get on the ground and to stop moving, you know the zombies and you know that they are zombies enough said. Another thing no SUVs with flashing lights and sirens. The third aspect is the chain of command between a boss of a unit and her subordinate it just does not work in real life. Besides that I found it a short fun read. You may like it as well.

The audiobook is computer generated and comes across emotionless and void. This is fitting, because the writing and characters are cliche, predictable, and altogether uninspiring. All the characters are “the best of the best of the best, sir! With honors”. The book reads like an adolescent fantasy created with ChatGPT or other AI. I give zombie novels a lot of leeway, and even then this one falls despairingly short of entertaining.
