Following a series of ghostly experiences in his early twenties, he became fascinated with exploring supernatural phenomena. Very soon thereafter, Lance experimented with an ancient spirit evocation book which resulted in frightening poltergeist intrusions. This led to further investigation and the eventual publishing of two well-reviewed, commercially successful books based on his personal experiences as well as those of others he met through research. Both books were written under pseudonyms and now Lance has decided to publish using his real name.

Unacceptable!
Total absence of understanding—none of the material in the book is handled competently.
Yellow journalistic style.
Not recommended under any circumstance, deliberate misreading, by an author Who is admittedly out of sink with the rhythms and energies in this band.

This “book” is a high school essay that deserves an F. It is a self-published, short but repetitive and disorganized opinion essay (169 pages of large font) that is defamatory and contains no chapter notes or bibliography despite using what are presented as direct quotes from subjects the author did not personally interview, and despite describing events to which he was not present to witness and thus describe with any degree of authority. Even the cover photo is uncredited, and it’s doubtful the author himself photographed Page. Similar to many books recently published, the Led Zeppelin name is used here to garner attention and book sales.

I was curious enough to finish it, but only to see what the author's conclusion was. He writes in a conversational style, albeit somewhat manic at times. Based on "knowing" that certain things are real, it would be fascinating to read the author's own experiences in magick and whether he is still a practitioner.
Glad it was a Kindle Unlimited Read. I would not have read past chapter 2.

This is what it is, a chatty - ridiculously chatty - book about the 'curse' of Led Zeppelin. Good fun reading, though, even if it's repetitive and its veracity depends on you being scared of being warned about messing with the occult/demons/spells etc.
The author continually alludes to his own experiences conjuring up and playing with demons and the dark side and we're encouraged to take his word about things in lieu of any decent evidence to support his theory. It's all very much hearsay and conjecture (as Gilbert openly admits), and interesting enough at that, but without any new, first-hand evidence the 'case' he outlines demands a strong suspension of disbelief. He's cursed himself, a little bit, by starting from the point of view that there is a 'curse' and having to build a case to support it. I don't know why. It seems to being going about things a bit arse after (witch's) tit.
What's interesting, and deserves a more decent dig and analysis, is Page's use of occult symbols and the depth of his Crowley fixation/interest. It's an interesting subject, moreso given that all of the Zepps look like they've been reticent about the subject (or perhaps there's just nothing to say?).

I am a Led Zeppelin Fan...but I am definitely a Fan of the history behind Aleister Crowley his work really fasinates me (Science)....This book is really well written and very creepy...Thank you to Author Lance Gilbert for bringing this haunting story to life...definitely spooked me out...definitely a 5 Star read for me

Whether you believe in it or not, The Led Zeppelin Curse certainly makes a compelling argument that it may exist on some level. While the topic frequently comes up in other Led Zeppelin literature, no one has taken the time to research it as thoroughly and painstakingly as Gilbert has done here. I have read a number of other Zeppelin books and always wanted to learn more about this particular topic. This book answered all the questions I had and then some. I look forward to the next book in the series!

I found thus book to be fascinating and informative. I have long been a devotee of the occult and recently had a renewed interest in led zeppelin. I had heard about Jimmy Page's bbn interest in magick and the dark arts. Th iy s book did not disappoint!

Well worth a read
Most people have at least heard of the connection between Led Zeppelin and the occult, and this book does a nice job of merging the two, without forcing the connection on the reader. It sets out possibilities as to what happened to cause such a theory of the curse starting and what has happened since to give strength to it.
Despite its subject matter, it’s a quick and easy read.... leaves space for the reader to either enjoy it for what is (a theory) or as a stepping stone to go on and look further into some of the places and people mentioned.

Outstanding read! As a lifelong fan of Led Zeppelin, this book had me glued to each word. I thought I knew everything there was to learn about the band and its members…I was wrong. This book taught me quite a bit more! Written in a way that makes you feel as though your friend is sitting with you telling you the story. I highly recommend this book!!

As stated by the author very early in the book, you can't prove it didn't happen so you can say it might have. The book is a series of instances which could mean something or nothing depending upon what you want to believe. Fun read however.

So much conjecture
I'm open for anyone to believe whatever makes the world make sense to them . This book was just not persuasive for me and too often seemed grasping at straws to make his point. There's nothing offensive here. Just not convincing.

Occult bias
Was hoping for a more objective view , author assumes the credibility of the Occult / black magic and there is a lot of supposition without evidence, though if does raise a lot of interesting circumstance.

I cant decide i like this book or not, if its too far fetched or not whether JP is a black Magician or not......

Well written and researched! Won't give anything away but those who know the Led Zep story will not be too surprised yet still will find out more information about Jimmy Page than they knew before. Highly recommended!
