Secret Quickie by Cassandra Bloom a glorious five-star read. This is a quick and hot read that you will finish in one read, its set over one weekend of a destination wedding, and a kiss that changes everything. This is filled with characters that you will love and Cassandra Bloom has done it again and wrote people you would want to be friends with. Roy is a man with a power, people look up to him and admire him. He is someone you would happily play spin the bottle with but Bridget is fighting the game and the kiss, despite being attracted to him, she thinks she knows him after a comment he made but maybe there is more to Roy than a hot suit and a charming smile. Bridget was my favourite character she was so well written she was curvy and hot, but didn’t see herself that way until a man did and usually I would find issue with the way that she found herself beautiful because a man saw her that way, but that wasn’t the case with this story, Bridget just needed someone to show her how to have confidence in herself. This is a very good quick short and hot read, if you are in the mood for one of those then this is the story for you.
I am writing this voluntary and honest review for this book I received through
Bridget and Roy meet at her brother's wedding. Bridget was a larger women and all she saw is that most men loved stick women. But when Roy sees Bridget he is immediately interested. She really didn't want to be bothered by Roy even though he couldn't keep his eyes off of Bridget. She had heard about Roy's lifestyle of bedding different women and she was not going to be one of them.
Needless to say Roy and Bridget together a couple of times in different areas. But when the weekends was over do Roy and Bridget stay a little longer or will she make her mind and go back to her old life. Wonderful short story.
Loved this book. Bridget is a bridesmaid for her brother's destination wedding. Roy is the sexy best man and is also her brother Ben's boss. They meet for the first time at the rehearsal dinner. He is immediately interested. After hearing him refer to her as a tart, Bridget tries to avoid him but he is quite persistent. Bridget is a full-figured woman so she has a difficult time believing Roy is sincere. There are so many thin, beautiful women but he only sees Bridget. Will his determination win her over or will Bridget let her insecurities rob her of a chance at happiness? After a weekend together, will Roy ket her walk away?
Bridget and Roy meet at her brothers wedding, after overhearing a comment made by Roy about her she goes on the defensive and tries to freeze Roy out but he has decided he wants her and nothing gets in his way.
Bridget tries to to push Roy away after they share a quick intimate moment in a closet but he wants more than just a night he's looking at forever.
It's a fab quick read, although at times Bridget behaves like a brat. I highly recommend this if you have an hour to wile away.
I voluntarily reviewed an Copy of this book. I loved this story. It;s a quicke, hot and steamy read. If you love Cassandra Bloom's writing than this is a must-read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I give Secret Quickie 5 stars for making me laugh at their antics. I chuckled at them playing spin the bottle, was surprised when they went into the broom closet, and was overjoyed when they decided to let the limo go to the city without them.
Cassandra Bloom is an author I have read before. This was a fun and sexy read with good characters, a fun storyline, and some good sex scenes. Quite descriptive and easy to read.
Bridget has been doing everything in her power to avoid Roy ever since she heard him refer to her as a tart when he asked Ben who she was. When her friend pulls her into another room where most of the bridal party is playing spin the bottle, she is forced to deal with him head on. Who knows where a simple game can lead to?
Bridget Poppins was locked up in a luxury resort in the Berkshires for a whole weekend for her brother’s wedding. If he, Ben, got married in the city like most people, she could go home between major events. Instead, Friday wasn’t over yet, and already she wanted to escape. Would she get her wish?
Roy Fontaine had more money than God, and he took Ben under his wing to mentor him in his multi-billion dollar consultancy firm. He has been mentoring him for many years now and they have become friends, especially since Ben asked him to be his best man. At the rehearsal he see Bridget and asks who she is. Will he get to meet her?
Secret Quickie is a contemporary romance novella that is fun and talks about instant attraction. He doesn't shy away from going after what he wants and he wants Bridget, the lovely tart.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is a book to fall in love with. Bridgette and Roy meet at her brother’s wedding. There is strain between the two. Although maybe for different reasons. Roy would like to get to know Bridgette. Even though Bridgette find Roy extremely attractive. His reputation precedes him. Bridgette has a hard time believing Roy could be interested in her, mostly because she is a bigger woman. She has always thought most men go for woman who are rail thin. Roy is known to get his way. Will he be able to break through Bridgette’s exterior? Follow their story through some twists and turns that make the book so great and a non-stop page-turner until the end.
Secret Quickie by Cassandra Bloom had me laughing from page 1 when Roy asks the groom " Who's the tart?" to only be told " That's my sister Bridget" It's Bridget's brother's wedding and his best man is his playboy billionaire boss Roy who can't get his eyes off her curves and whispers dirty promises to her. The more Bridget tries to avoid him and is rude to Roy the more the man wants her! Loved this short story and had a few good giggles at the spin the bottle game that the bridal company played, the broom closet scene was steamy and sexy! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
The gloriously big beautiful gal Bridget and the gorgeously alpha guy Roy - one looking for love and the other hiding their need. Where weddings are often off-putting for those on the sidelines this one brings out the alpha in Roy and he goes after Bridget - in a good way of course. The sneaky bit at the end was a cute diversion, very clever. Great read - fast-paced story with a good ending. I was privileged to have an ARC and I have honestly reviewed this book here.
This is a well written quick story. Roy is a wealthy alpha man who has mentored Ben, his boss and the best man at his wedding. Bridget is Ben's sister and has her life planned out. Once their eyes meet there is an instant connection. There is some smoking hot chemistry between these two and Roy goes for what he wants and Bridget keeps telling him "No". Will Roy walk away broken hearted or will Bridget come to terms with her fear admit her true feelings and grab Roy's hand? Uhh where is the epilogue! I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Sometimes you just need a really quick, hot read to get you through, and Secret Quickie does that! A destination wedding puts Roy and Bridget in the same place at the same time. Weddings can be the worst place to be, with everyone striving to look their best, but curvy Bridget was beautiful regardless. Roy is the best man, and a hot kiss during a game of spin the bottle seals their fate. But how far will they be able to go? Read this and find out! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Wow, what a great quick read. I love how well Cassandra Bloom wrote this story. Bridget and Roy have this chemistry that doesn't stop. He is all the way alpha male from his head to his toes. He sees something he wants and he goes for it. Bridget is one that isn't full confident with herself but with Roys help she unleashed her inner wild woman. The characters were well developed and have great personalities. This is a quick read but very worth it. It won't disappoint other than you will want to read a little more. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
I really enjoyed reading this story that will certainly grab your attention from the start. The characters Roy & Bridget are ideal and have great chemistry but she doesn't want to admit to that...... it was only messing about wasn't it ??????? While he is supposed to be the level headed business man that goes out the window with her. Great quickie read that will leave you wanting more from this author.
Had the privilege of reading and ARC. Good short story. You can deny the attraction for so long and then you have to give in to what your mind and body won't ignore. Finding time for romance before and after your brothers wedding is not what most people have in mind, but when it percents it self hopefully you take the chance and jump right in.
This book took a while to the point but overall it was a good book. The whole plot have us something to think about. They couple that they where talking about in this book were so cute and loving. In the long run it could of been just a bit longer but I'll see give it a 4 star review. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy ( ARC ).
A quickie of a story. That will singe your undies off in parts. Besides making you wish that your brother or sister had a hot billionaire friends that can make you wet. Roy may be a little bit of a pushy alpha male. But Bridget definitely has some fire in her. They are definitely made for each other.
I think the premise of having a quickie at a wedding is a great idea, especially when both parties are in on the escapade and relish in getting away with it afterwards. However, this novella had a couple of issues that are worth discussing. First is the protagonist, Bridget. She is the sister of the groom and is a member of the wedding party. Her personality is something else. I found her to be whiny, self-centered, and basically not at all likable. The other protagonist was Roy. He is the groom's billionaire boss, mentor, and best friend. For purely physical reasons he is attracted to Bridget. Bridget is angry/uncomfortable and does not want to be at the rehearsal dinner, does not want to sit next to Roy, to party after, to do anything with Roy until ten minutes before the wedding. That brings up issue two. The timeline for those two to disappear for their quickie in full wedding attire and no one suspects anything. Hmmmmmm. Postcoital, she continues to either avoid or treat and talk to him like crap. In summary, the protagonists were cold and left me wanting. Read don't read. (Note: I was provided an Advanced Review Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)
Bridget and Roy meet at her brother's wedding. Roy being the best man, has found himself fancing the groom's sister. The tension between the two started to mount during the rehearsal and finally came to a head right before the wedding. They find themselves sitting next to each other at the reception when Roy hints that he could want more with Bridget during his best man's speech. Bridget is unsure if she can give him the more he's looking for, hesitantly accepts his offer of one more night. But will one night be all they have together?
I really liked this book until the end. I frankly found Bridget to be so caught up in herself and "happy" little life that she was down right rude to Roy. She was a real jerk to him at one point and that made it hard for me not to move on to the next book. She flipped flopped so much, she made the read almost exhausting.
A very well written short and easy read. It is fast paced and full of chemistry and emotions. Bridget is bridesmaid at her brothers wedding. Here she meets Roy who is her brothers boss. She is instant attracted to him and he has only eyes for her. But Bridget tries to escape her feelings the whole weekend but she does not succeed all the time. I like the character of Roy. He knows what he wants and he usually takes it. He is very well described and develops through the story. Bridget annoyed me sometimes. She wanted Roy but did not want to give in. A story that has some twists and fun comments. A quick steaming read.

While I usually enjoy Cassandra Bloom's books, this was not a favorite for me. A quick story about two people who meet at a wedding. Roy was a slightly overbearing alpha male and Bridget was a very wishy washy woman. The sex in this book was great and the chemistry between the two characters could definitley be felt. Overall, a good read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Roy = 5/5 Heroine, Bridget = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 3/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = hers Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = no Would I read future books by this author = yes
This is a short story that took just a couple hours to read. I usually love books by this author. This one was a like for me, but not a love. I did enjoy it, but Bridget annoyed me. She was very wishy washy and kept sending mixed signals to Roy. Sometimes the way she thought even had me thinking, "huh?". Roy was a good guy, not the playboy Bridget had in her mind that he was. He knew what he wanted and didn't give up, although he maybe should have. lol The two of them do have chances at a HEA. You'll have to read for yourself to find out if it happens. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
A short story and a fast read. Bridget and Roy meet at her brother’s weeding and it’s instant attraction. Bridget is quite hesitant on giving herself to the passion but at the end she can’t resist. Roy on the other hand is a pure alpha male who doesn’t take no for an answer. I admit, I really didn’t prefer Bridget as a female character; she is quite unsure of herself and is absolutely very rude to him. It’s really a good thing that he is able to manage her hysteria. The scenes are very steamy and if the reader wants a fast read, this book is absolutely recommendable.
Secret Quickie is a Quickie read. Roy is the alpha male in the story and with the exception of the opening when he calls Bridget a tart, he is a likeable character. A billionaire who realizes he may want more in life. Bridget is the female and in all honesty I just couldn't connect with her character. One minute she comes off like agoodie two shoes and the next she's in the janitor'so closet. She just ran to far hot and cold for me. I was given this book and am leaving an honest voluntary review.
Fun quick (hahaha) read, great steamy scenes and a hot guy.
Bridget is there for his brother destination wedding nothing else, then she is going to continue with her life and thats that. Well that is until Roy, his brother extremely handsome best man decided he have to have her. She is not going to give in, it does not matter how good he can make her feel or how much she wants him. She has a strong will or did she?

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book. Roy and Bridget meet at a wedding, and sparks fly. Should she hook up with Roy? This is her brother's wedding. Roy is her brother's boss. Well maybe a one night stand, or a brief encounter in a hidey-hole. You will just have to read this book to find out if Bridget let Sheila, her friend have Roy, or if Bridget enjoyed a fling!
This is my honest review of an ARC I received. A really sexy and sweet read. Loved this one of Cassandra Bloom's short erotic reads. Bridget could not let herself go as she has this thing that people stare at her because she is on the larger side, not like the usual stick women. But Roy brings out the sexy side of her and I still confidence in her. Perfect short read in one sitting.
Secret quickie is a laugh out loud sexy novella that you will enjoy reading. I was in a bit of a funk before I read this but Bridget and Roy's antics definitely cheered me up. I highly recommend you one click this book as soon as you can and get taken on a quick hot ride of your life. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
