I am sorry but I could not get into this book. I really really wanted to enjoy this book but nope, I just couldn't do it. There was just something about this story and these characters. I usually enjoy Mia's books but this one just didn't do it for me. There was something about a mother and grandmother and how Richie had plans for Hannah but nobody was allowed to mess with her but yet his buddy kept doing it and that was okay with Richie because he liked messing with her. Then you have Danny and the weirdness of his past but going undercover and taking Hannah for himself. Just some questions but no answers.

Wow this book was intense. Way to go Mia! Another great book!
In this book Danny O'Shea is an undercover cop in the deep south side of Chicago and his target is a big operator named Richie Silvestri. Richie has his hands in all kinds of pots. Drugs, prostitutes, bookie, etc. He is dirty and needs to be taken out.
Hannah Silvestri is Richie's little sister and he treats her like crap. He controls every aspect of her life and she is tired of it. She is trying hard to make a better life for herself and her goal is to get away from her brother.
When Richie hires a new guy named Danny, his second in command Butch is pissed. He does not like the way Danny looks at Hannah. Richie has promised Butch that Hannah will be his and he intends to make sure that Danny knows his place. Hannah on the other hand has not gotten the memo. Butch makes her skin crawl and Danny...well let's just say her makes her hot and wet.
Richie is dabbling in something big and Danny intends to find out what and take him down. When the stakes get high Danny sees that things are going bad and fast. Not what he expected and now Hannah is being sneaky. Is Hannah in with her brother? Will Danny figure out what is going on and take Richie down? Or will his job be jeopardized by a woman who may not be on the right side?
I loved this story. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It was a suspenseful, thrilling, lusty, romantic read. It was dangerous and exciting. The characters development was impressive. The chemistry between Danny and Hannah is hot. The sex.....let's just say it will have you curling your toes and panting for more.
I always love reading Mia's books. They grab your attention quickly and hold you tight throughout the book. She has a way of making the characters interesting enough that your imagination runs wild creating your own fantasy image of them. She seems to have a fascinating way about how she writes her books. They may be quick reads, but they are never lacking or missing chunks out of the stories. They flow smoothly and do not have rushed endings.
If you are looking for a thrilling ride, then this book is for you. You will enjoy every last page. Don't forget to read all the way to the end. There's a hot bonus scene there that will make you wet.

There is a second novel included here, called "SSH....Don't Tell". 🌟🌟🌟 The premise of the book made me extremely angry because I was a young unwed mother who gave her baby up for adoption. I was devastated for years, even though I knew I had done the right thing. It's the single most life changing event that could ever happen to a woman. it preyed on my mind. A woman who has never gone through a pregnancy, then a loss, can never understand the lifelong trauma, the lifelong guilt. Yet the author just had the character, Sherry, basically brush it off like it wasn't that big of a deal. There is absolutely no way the female character in this book would have been able to become a nanny so soon after having her baby and giving it up. The author never lets The reader inside Sherry's head to find out her thoughts about giving up her son.
The whole book has a false ring to it because of this.
It would have been more realistic for the child to have been much older, years older, not a baby, when Sherry is hired to be the Nanny. Time is supposed to heal all wounds, but the wound from having to give up a baby, your flesh and blood, never really heals. The painful scar is there forever.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! This was a great read. So different from other books by Ms. Ford in that it is more suspenseful and more of a will the good guys come out victorious and the bad guys get taken down. Yet, in true Mia Ford style it is a love story about boy meets girl, boy and girl fall for one another and find a way to triumph over all that is stacked against them. Danny is an undercover cop who infiltrates the Silvistri mob. Hannah is the sister of Richie Silvistri who works as a bartender at Richie's strip club. She is caught under Richie's thumb. He controls everything to the point he does not want her to make a life for herself. Danny has gotten in with the mob boss and the first day he comes to the club he encounters Hannah, who has gone downstairs to see what her brother is up to. From the beginning Danny is drawn to Hannah. He has some obstacles to overcome in order to not blow his cover while trying to win her over. Mainly, Richie. I absolutely loved this story. It was an at the edge of your seat read with all the intrigue and suspense as well as the hot and sexy scenes between Danny and Hannah. The way things worked out for them in the end was great and of course the good guys always win at the and get their HEA!

I really enjoyed this book. Mia Ford writes a great story with a bad ass bad boy & a sweet smart mouthed strong woman who come together despite those who try to keep them apart.
Danny O'Shea aka Danny Dutton is an undercover cop trying to take down the South Side gang.
Hannah Silvestri is a bartender who is trying to get out of the life that her brother has planned for her. She secretly takes college classes to make this happen.
Richie Silvestri is a guy with his finger in a lot of pies. Drugs, prostitution, gambling, extortion & even legit business. He has plans for his sister Hannah that don't include Danny.
Hannah & Danny have an instant attraction when they meet the night Danny is hired after saving Richie's childhood friend from getting beat to death.
The two have a fun sexy banter that eventually has them giving into their lust with a night of hot sex. Richie finds out about Hannah's classes & cons her into becoming a courier for him. Danny is used by as a participant in a jewel heist planned by Richie. Danny sets up a sting with his commander & things go awry. Richie is alerted & Hannah's life is in danger. To see what happens next you'll need to read the book. You won't be disappointed.

I was able to read this book in one day, I usually listen to the book on my Kindle. The book starts off with a pretty big sexy bang but gets more into the story after that. It's about a detective name Danny who's trying to clean up the streets. He plays an undercover cop trying to take down a bad guy that owns a strip club. He has a sister Hannah whose just trying to survive. She doesn't wavy the sane life as her brother. She doesn't really now everything her brother is into.
Danny wasn't expecting was the bad guy to have a hot sister. It doesn't take long for Danny to notice Hannah. It takes awhile for them to actually hook up. But by then their feelings are stronger then they both realize.
The book was actually a good mix between sexual tension and some sexual play. It also had a good amount of drama. I actually like detective type books or mysteries so this book was a good mix for me. But I do have to say that there were some scenes near the end of the book that were actually really intense and I also cried a little. But I do recommend reading this book. I received advanced copy to give my honest review

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Mia definitely did it with this one. I was getting tired of the "billionaire bad boy" stuff I was reading, so when I was sent an ARC of this book, I jumped at the chance. Holy Hotness. Danny, an undercover cop, falls for his prime suspect's sister and steam rises, as they say. This book was filled with everything you want - it has sex, steam, heat, suspense, sexy characters, but most of all, a "Happy Ever After" with no cliffhanger and no doubt as to where these two are headed when they meet. Holy Hotness (I'm repeating myself again, aren't I?) With no idea whether Hannah is in cahoots with her brother or not, things get dangerous really quick for the undercover cop but that doesn't stop him from lusting after Hannah with everything he's got (ahem). I love it when a book surprises me and far surpasses what I expected it to be - this one is it. Buy it if you want to enjoy yourself while reading an immensely interesting story.

Danny is an undercover cop who is going to take Richie Silvestri down for all of his criminal activity. He gets an in as a bouncer. The only thing he doesn’t prepare himself for is Hannah, Richie’s sister.
Hannah is stuck. She has no options and has to do what her brother says. She lives in an apartment over his club and manages it during the day. She wants her own life and is doing what she needs to do to make sure she can break away from his hold.
Danny the new bouncer has caught her eye the way that no other man has but Richie has made it clear that he is off limits.
Danny knows that he has a job to do but he also knows that he has to have Hannah. There is something there that he has never felt before and he knows she feels it too.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a suspense filled book!

Detective Daniel Dutton went undercover in the South Side of Chicago trying to take down the South Side Gang. He is Danny O’Shea as his bad boy cover. Hannah is the sister of the man he is after. She is caught in her brothers clutches and trying to better herself. She and Danny have an instant chemistry but can anything come of it? Can Danny save Hannah from her Ivory Tower? This story is full of lust, plenty of hot sexy scenes, twist, bitterness, fright, danger, and love. Grab this book and sit down and get ready to get down and dirty as you read this suspenseful romance.

An undercover cop and a girl from the bad side of the world. Oh yeah I love this kind of story.
This is a forbidden romance in an ugly messed up crime world.
It's a fast pace read full of drama, secrets, actions, suspense, love and lust. Yup I really love and really enjoying reading this book, although I found it a bit predictable towards the end, but hey this book still makes a happy girl in the end.
As for the characters, I loveee Danny, a sexy hot undercover cop, what's not to love? He oozes confidence, dominance and power.
And Hannah, I like this girl. She'd do anything to get out from her ugly world, her determination to change her life is admireable.
The connections between these two are strong. Love their banters and all of those flirting, and fo course love the fire between these two.
If you're looking hot forbidden romance with hot undercover cop, you need to read this one.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I love everything written by Mia Ford. She really gets you involved with her characters. This book is about and undercover Chicago PD cop trying to infiltrate a notorious South Side gang. It's run by Richie Silvestri who, by day is a wealthy legitimate businessman but by night is one of the biggest players in Chicago's underworld. His nighttime home base is a strip joint called Pussy Whip and after 'saving' one of Richie's guys in a manufactured fight, Daniel Dutton (aka Danny O'Shea), is offered a job as a bouncer. He meets Richie's sister, Hannah, whom he starts having feelings for. This is not good for an undercover op. But the heart wants what the heart wants. However, Richie also likes to control Hannah. So, obvious conflict there too. Will Danny be able to do his job of taking down the Southside gang, stay alive, and save Hannah and get to an HEA? Read the book!

Whew. I was on pins and needles the whole book.
Danny O'Shea is an undercover cop in Chicago bent on bringing down a man involved in legitimate business yet is involved in the dark side of Chicago crime.
Danny has been undercover for quite some time and he's just found a way to get on the inside as a bouncer at the strip club of the man he intends to bring down.
Little does he know there is a little sister of the ugly crime boss, and she works at the strip club. This presents all kinds of situations Danny hadn't planned on and one of them is his feelings for the woman.
Danny is a gorgeous hunk and he soon finds he wants Hanna, but Hanna is a captive of her cruel brother. Even looking at each other could bring pain to both parties.
The book is dark, sinister, erotic, and a very good read.

Now that's what you call action, drama, intrigue and hot chemistry all in one package. Undercover cop Danny O'Shea has to investigate mobster Richie Silvestri . Now that is one dangerous task. Richie is cold, soulless and he even treats his sister Hannah like a piece of meat. He controls her so badly. When Danny and Hannah meet, they automatically know there is some chemistry but Hannah has to keep her feelings hidden. Not helping is Richie's sidekick Butch. Now he is another gross excuse of a man, he makes Hannah's flesh crawl.
A fast paced drama that has you on the edge of your seat. You keep waiting for Danny and Hannah to get found out plus wondering if you are going to be betrayed, anytime by anyone just for money. A brilliant read. Loved it.

The characters are really good : you get attached to them from the first chapters. They are strong and they have to hide from the others : Danny is an undercover cop, and Hannah is the sister of a local gangster who don’t want her to date, to study. She has to live upstairs his stripclub because it’s a free rent, but she ‘s got to hide to study on internet.
Danny and Hannah are attracted to each other, but they can’t be seen together because of her brother and his gang.
I liked the story at first for the characters, it's well writen, but, in a way, I found the second part of the story, too predictable. Good and hot, but predictable.

This is a great story with suspense, secrets, cruelty, kindness and love. Hannah is a young woman living under her brother, Richie's thumb and is forced to live and work in poor conditions. Hannah has one secret hoping it will set her free. Richie rules the underworld and lives a successful life making those around him dependent on him using fear. Danny is under cover trying to take down Richie and his dealings. I love how Danny gets Hannah's attention and it doesn't go away through the good and bad! All these characters have a coming to and you need to read for the outcome. This is a short enjoyable read with some great characters that keep you reading until the end. Richie!!!!!!!!!! Now what sort of brother is that, thought Italians wanted the best for there sister, seems like he never got the memo.
I guess going deep can have its pros and cons at least for Danny, he gets to meet the love of his life although the path to happy ever after is not smooth sailing but they try to enjoy every second that they managed to be together.
Very heart wrenching story mostly for Hannah as every time she tries to better herself her self obsessed brother will find a way to grind down her sprite, but thankfully she is made of harder stuff and will not go down without a fight.
Danny like the knight in shining armour he is gallops in and saves the day.
Highly recommend it.

Great undercover story. Well writen, the whole story make sense and introduce you to a world of crime and love. The three way point of view was an excellent touch, it let you know what happening in the mind of the criminal and his way of doing things.
Danny is a undercover cop that is working on infiltrading himself on the criminal world of Richie Silvestri (drugs, prostitution, theft, guns...). For that he makes himself known as Danny O'shea a player that likes to fight and don't have a care in the world. But in real life he wants to make Chicago a better place and a way of doing that is by taking down Richie. What he did not count on was that the love of his life will be Hannah, Richie's sister!

I LOVED IT! Mia Ford has this amazing writing style that catches you from the first to last chapter and this book has also got it. She did not disappoint my expectations in this story. It is an amazing read. I had to read it in one sitting because it was so captivating. The characters are very well described and develops through out the story. It has drama, action, lust, passion, chemistry, thrills and emotional ups and downs. The twists gives it an edge that pushes it to the 5 star rate review. I love the unsuspected things and the way Mia Ford has gone the whole way out in this story and plot. Danny and Hannahs story is hot and is really worth the read.
I can only recommend it.

Awesome contemporary good guys versus bad guys romance. Hannah is struggling to better her life while quietly trying to help others. Unfortunately, Her brother is a legitimate businessman in the regular world and in the street world. Hannah wants a life of her own so she can get away from her brothers world of crime so she's secretly taking college classes. Danny is an undercover police officer who intends to take Hannah's brother Richie down. Their worlds come to collide with danger, death and destruction. Hannah is a pawn and Richie strives to keep her contained and dependant on him so look out Danny. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Ford.

I was holding my breath
While reading this amazingly good story I was holding my breath at the intrigue and the suspense and hoping that things would work out well. Danny deserved to get Hannah but he had some hazards to get by to get the girl. Hannah didn't deserve the choices made for her and I was impressed at her strength as she didn't give in to her brother's intentions. Some twisty little bits at the end from Mia Ford to keep you on your seat and the love and the lust and the HEA. Swoon worthy read for the main characters and a good thrilling read for the other bits. I was very privileged to have an ARC of the book and am honestly and willingly reviewing it here.

This book was well written and a great read. The instant heat between Danny and Hannah is great. The suspense of Danny's job keeps you rooted to your seat to see what is going to happen. The sassyness of Hannah is refreshing. She doesn't like to have to abide by Richie's rules, but she knows that she has to bide her time if she is going to get away from her brother and start the life she really wants to have. Danny's persistence in Hannah is good for her.
I really enjoyed this book and hated for it to end. If you enjoy a book with romance and some action, this is a great book to read. Great job, Mia.

What a sexy undercover story. Loved the hutzpah of Danny the undercover cop and Hannah the sister of the mob leader. They were hot together and fearless in bring her brother down for his illegal activities.
Amy did a great job of writing a storyline that was energetic and fun to follow along. Her characters were well-developed and unique. I loved the two thugs who were more like an old married couple who hated each other.
Even if you shy away from cop stories I recommend this book. It's not long and involved and it will hold your interest through to the end. Enjoy!

Another awesome read by Mia Ford! Going Deep is a book filled with gritty, ugly, and downright cruel truths about Chicago's underbelly. Elements of this book are hard to read...yet there is light among all that darkness. The storyline was amazing; the characters were so well developed that you automatically believed what they were saying/doing!

I held my breath in so many places in this exciting story. Danny is a gorgeous hunk and he's attracted to Hannah, but Hannah is off limits for so many reasons. Hannah is fighting her own war for freedom and a voice to choose her own life.

I give this book 4 stars. The storyline starts with Danny O'Shea a Chicago PD office that is undercover. He is investigating Richie Silvestri for drug, bookie, prostitution, murder and more. Richie has a sister named Hannah, she works for him at his strip club as a Bartender. She lives in an apartment above the bar. She is afraid of Rickie's top men Butch he watches her in a creepy way. She meets Danny the day he saves one of Richie's friends and asked him for a job, Richie hired him as a bouncer. A case of insta lust. The recommend this book. I loved this book it has everything you could possibly want from a streamy book!!
This is Danny and Hannah's story and boy does it pack a pinch. Danny is the hard ass cop who can't let his cover (or anything else...) get blown (hehehe) and just focus on the job in ermmm hand.... butttt he meets Hannah and all rational thinking goes out of the window.
One problem.... her very over protective brother and his gross right hand man that has his sights set on Hannah also.
Will Danny get what he wants? Or will he fall flat on his face while falling head over heels??

Great book loved it from the first page I couldn't put it down. Mia Ford has written a hot and sexy read with a lot of colorful characters. Loved Detective Daniel Dutton aka Danny O'Shea, he is undercover deep cover he has infiltrated Riche Silvestri organization. Hannah Silvestri is Richies little sister and he doesn't treat her good and all she wants is to get away from her controlling brother and have a better life. This is a book that has many twist and turns it keeps you on the edge of your seat, it thrilling and intriguing. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book for my honest review and I loved it. I highly recommend this story.
