Hard Hat is book two in the Dirty Men series by Frankie Love. This is a series of four books by four different authors, all featuring men with tough, dirty jobs that love their women just the same way!
Luke has started a new construction business that has been slowly taking off. He’s currently working on a jackhammer outside of an apartment building when a woman yells at him out of her apartment window for waking her up. One look and he knows she’s the woman for him.
Lottie quit college to take care of her ailing grandmother. Her grandmother raised her her entire life. They lived in a beautiful but aging apartment in Brooklyn. Now that her grandmother is gone, Lottie has been trying to find a job with no success at all. Even Hot Dogs R Us turned her down. She knows she can do any of the jobs she has applied for easily but with no qualifications, they turn her away. Now she has a stack of bills and an eviction notice staring her in the face. On the day of an important job interview the last thing she wants is to be woken up by a jackhammer outside her window. But when she sees who is controlling that jackhammer, she definitely didn’t mind the view.
“You know what’s best for me?”
“I think I do.”
“And what’s that?”
“Me.”
Luke knows what he wants and he wants Lottie. He will do whatever it takes to convince her of it. He will fight for this woman.
This book is pretty much exactly what the authors says it is in her blurb, a filthy, sweet, insta-everything book. Even though I love these short little stories to break up my day, I didn’t love this one as much as some of the other books of hers I’ve read. Still, it was a fun little book that I finished in one sitting.

"Hard Hat" was another awesome addition to the (Diry men) series. In this one our H Luke, is a hot construction worker who on a job meets the h Poppy. Poppy is not happy been woken up to the drilling outside her apartment she confronts the sexy worker. Their arguing soon turns to flirting and sparks fly with their sexual attraction.
So as the previous book this one too it's quick a read, insta love/attraction with minimal drama the sex is hot and playful and both were dirty talkers, super sexy. Really enjoyed it. ❤️

Not for me.
Having really enjoyed Coal Miner I decided to read the rest of this series but for me anyway this didn't really work.
Lottie is broke, bills are piling up and she's one step away from eviction so she really really needs a job. She wakes up to the sound of a jackhammer outside her window and realises she's slept through her alarm and now late for her interview.
Luke is the owner of the jackhammer and despite (or because of) the attitude he finds himself incredibly attracted to Lottie.
This is a short read which has a lot of great reviews but it's just not for me I hate all this....

"Your pussy is nice and ready for this jackhammer, but the question is, are you?"
"Oh, darling, I only brought one power tool today. And my jackhammer can go all day and night."

This was another good short read from Frankie Love. Luke and Lottie meet while he is working his jackhammer infront of her apartment building. She is jobless, poor and in danger of losing her house. Luke is building his own company. Sparks fly and they spend one hot night together. There is a misunderstanding but not for long. In the end he makes all her dreams come true.
I loved the epilogues with their 3 boys they were super adorable!
Safety info: this is a Frankie Love book so both hero and heroine are experienced, no cheating, no other man or other woman drama though heroine thinks hero's sister is his wife lol

Gotta love a man with a big tool who knows how to use it!
Hard Hat was sweet and sexy, insta everything with a guy who's not afraid of a little hard work, especially when it comes to winning Lottie's heart. There are some misunderstandings, some awesome epilogues, and some HOT moments in this shortie of a story. I finished it in one sitting. It had dual pov, a HEA, and was everything you would hope for in a Frankie Love tale. Love love love it all.

A hot new read by Frankie Love. I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Lottie and Luke was well written. Lottie is an out of work woman, who is mourning the loss of her grandmother who raised her. Luke is a very handsome construction worker/owner. They meet when he is working outside of her apartment with a jackhammer and wakes her up. Is it love at first sight? You have to read to find out. I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Hard working man and sweet female. This read had everything packed and wrapped in a cute bow. Sexy, yet sappy. Hard Hat by Frankie Love will make your ovaries cry out and your heart a pile of mush.

Super short and sweet!
This was a super sweet, hot book! And very, very short. You'll need an hour max. As a result of that, it's what you expect from a novella, characterization-wise, not very deep. The couple's first meeting is not the best one, but both are decent, romantic people, with an instant attraction. There are enough details about their lives before to make you appreciate what comes in the epilogues, and if you want to pass an hour with little drama but lots of sweetness and sizzling heat, then this a great choice! I have read other books by Frankie Love and enjoyed this one, similar to her other short stories, just sweet and full of sexy times as I've enjoyed in the past. And if you love stories about working men besides billionaires, like me, then this is a great choice! The story is written and paced well, and was a satisfying read. I recommend it!

This book is cute and fluffy and will give you all the feels and possibly a big sugar rush.
Luke is perfection personified and Lottie is the one who gets to play with his tools.
Their so lucky to have found their other half to make them complete.
Their exactly what the other one craved without even knowing.
Thank God for people ringing in sick and fate pushing them together.
Those epilogues were the perfect ending to their story.

2.00 Stars. (WW/WM). Kindle Unlimited 74 page novella e-book. Did not connect with any element of this story. Lottie a broke unemployed about to be evicted virgin, over sleeps, misses a job interview and in her frustration yells at the hero from her apartment window about the noise he is making. Luke, the hero, has recently started his construction business and often works on a cite to save money and compensate his lack of man power. As Lottie is passing the work cite, Lottie and Luke see each other and it's lust at first sight, they soon enter into a relationship that is briefly interrupted when Lottie breaks things off because she concludes that Luke's sister and niece are his wife and daughter. The story ends with Luke and Lottie being married with children.

Luke is working outside her beloved apartment and wakes her up. She takes her many frustrations out on Luke from her window and Luke returns the sentiment. The chemistry between them is instant, sizzling hot, and super sweet. This fast-paced love story will warm your heart. I especially loved the extended epilogue Frankie gives us. Frankie Love definitely has a formula for possessive, demanding males (I hesitate to say alpha, though) and the women who need them. It's a short, cute read about first impressions and understanding they aren't always accurate.
Poor Lottie just wants to make it to her job interview, but the sidewalk is torn up and she can't figure out another option, so she starts to take off her heels to traverse the wreckage. From the moment Luke picked her up and carried her to a safer place, I knew I was just going to love him.
I'm not saying it's Shakespeare, or amazingly original, but it works and I will happily keep reading.

Hard Hat was beyond anything I could expect. It had me laughing, crying and smiling. Frankie packed a punch with emotion in this one that's for sure. I felt heartbroken for Lottie and the grief she was going through over her Grandma Charlotte and having to try to find a job that would allow her to keep the apartment that meant so much to her. It broke me. I loved her bratty attitude she had towards Luke. Luke, strong, kindhearted Luke. He sure knows how to make a girl swoon.
These characters deserved each other and Frankie did a 5 star job of creating their story.

Working Man
I probably sound like a broken record when I review Frankie Love's books. Many are short reads but they have been wonderful interludes between longer books.
This was another one that had me swooning. Luke & Lottie are an amazing match. Very much enjoyed the double epilogues. Even if you're not into short stories, take a chance on this one. I don't think you'll regret it.

Luke is the owner of a construction company, while Lottie is a sweet gal who's a little down on her luck, and she fires off on Luke, who is making all kinds of noise with his powerful jackhammer. Their instant connection was so hot and off the charts, and I loved reading this blue collar instalove romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
