Seven Years.

Two thousand, five hundred and fifty five days.

Too many seconds to count.

My lonely existence is scattered over countless towns and cities. I’d given up a long time ago. Lost my way. The only constant - my sister - lives the same lie.

A distraught encounter.

A passionate outburst.

One look. One touch. And the pain of yesterday manifests into something else. I forget I broke his heart, right along with my own. Remember the promises we made. Yet I walk away for a second time.
If only I’d take a gamble and reach.

On crumpled paper, I leave him a clue, one that speaks of hope and fear.
Of love.

The last pin has been pushed and now all I can do is wait…

The exciting 10k prequel to a brand new series, by fledgling author, K A Sands. The conclusion to Taylor is available now. Ryder is a novella and concludes their story. It is advised you read the full novel, Calling Time, in between, as Ryder may contain spoilers. All books are of different couples, but their stories are interwoven throughout and the books are interconnected standalones.

Klaire is a multi genre author who has a passion for reading and more often than not, can be found with her nose stuck in a book. She loves angsty, dark reads but is not averse to the fun, light hearted side either. Typically, a romance reader, of most genres/sub genres, her passion for literature and written words goes back to her childhood when she always dreamed of writing and telling the world her stories.

Not quite a stay at home mum, Klaire has a busy life which she shares with her husband of twenty-five years and her little monkey boy. Her adult children have flown the coop already, but still manage to come home for ‘mama’s lasagne.’ EOL Nurse and business owner are her daytime realities.

Avid eater of mayonnaise and chips, anti-get fitter, lover of cheesy music and a fierce advocate of things close to her heart. She has a bucket list as long as her arm, which includes sky diving and visiting Cambodia. And wants to travel the world.

Great believer in second chances, insta-love (because her love is a product of that), fairy tales and monsters… Klaire just wants to write all the words for you.

I was quite impressed with this author's debut novel (prequel). The cover is quite refreshing, no abs nor tattoos, thank God for that! The main characters are very interesting and the way the author describes their background and interconnecting lives makes you want more. As this is only a prequel it is a short read. Very well written with an intriguing storyline, this novella teases you with colourful characters and I can't wait for the full length book to come out. Please don't let us wait too long, I want to know what happens next! I highly recommend this short story as I am sure that this author will takes us on a wild ride on her next book!

short but very gripping .... can't wait for more

TAYLOR is a short novella, the introduction/prequel to the Razor series. It starts with a bit of mystery and ends with you hoping that Taylor/Cassie gets what she wants in life. Taylor has done everything for her younger sister for the past eight years. In doing so she has left behind Ryder, the one man she truly loves. Circumstances in her life have changed, again.

The story finishes abruptly, but as I said it is only a brief introduction. I can't wait to read more of this author's work, she had me thoroughly engrossed. Hopefully, Taylor and Ryder's full story won't be too far away. I understand that it will be Laura's story next - that will be interesting.

K.A. Sands you have my interest piqued, bring on the next intriguing story in this series. I've rated it four stars, only due to its length, but it was advertised as a short prequel.

Sharp and stylish. That is exactly how I would describe Sand’s writing. And to say I was impressed with her short debut story which whetted my appetite for more, would be putting it mildly. Before talking about the book, I really have to mention the gorgeous cover of Taylor. Everything about it is perfect. Not only are the hues kind on the eye, but it also inspires freedom. So once I'd begun reading, soon was I to realise that this is exactly what Taylor’s tale is about. Freedom from what you may ask! That is for you to discover.

This reader was drawn into the life of Taylor in such a way that my only thought was for her wellbeing, her peace of mind. Others close to home are involved and her compassion towards them has no boundaries. Past happenings are complicated and in all its seriousness, kept me stuck to the pages. Hers is not a lovey-dovey story, it didn’t bring out an oohing-aahing effect in me, either. Its blunt narrative made me think and that is exactly what I like. I don’t want to have the plot served to me on a silver plate. I want questions to be answered, I want the element of suspense to surprise me. Whether or not, in all its glorious and titillating circumstance, the author is going to be able to carry out what she’s put in motion, remains to be seen but I really can’t wait for her next offering.

My inclination to talk about the secondary characters who are crucial to the foundation of what I can imagine is to come, might be letting on without reason. I might even be way off since I have no idea how the story will pan out. That being said, Ryder took me by storm! Personified gorgeousness aren’t even the right words to portray the kind of person he is! I want more of him. Will the author pretty please me?

Taylor’s father. I’d sign up on the bottom line to have one like him. Her sister with pin in hand forms a beginning that one can only imagine, has an end. Then again, the whys and wherefores remain to be divulged. One small observation. I would have like more banter but in my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons since I have no idea how Taylor’s story will develop. What I can say is this: ‘Keep up the good work you’ve done thus far Sands. Bravo!’

Taylor Hamilton has been on the run for the past 8 years and she is tired of running. When she comes face to face with her past and a love she has never gotten over.

Ryder Laurent lost Taylor once, when he knew her as "Cassie" and he isn't about to let her go again.

But when Taylor needs to leave again with her sister, Laura, will Ryder fight for her and will Taylor ever put herself first?

This was a short story and the beginning of The Razer Series.

I really liked Taylor but I am super curious to learn what happened in their past so that they have been on the run for so long. I still don't have any answers but this introduction really makes me curious on the series.

I liked that Ryder was determined to not let go of Taylor but I definitely need more!

Such a great introduction to the series!

This is an introduction book for the series. You get some info on the characters but not much. Just enough to get you to read the next book. I can tell something tramadic happened but not sure what. Cassie aka Taylor seems like she gives up everyrhing for her sister Laura. Not quite sure what the deal with her sister is. Drugs or something maybe. But in this book it starts off with them leaving town. She has just started a relationship with Ryder. And she leaves withoyt sayi g goodbye. 8 yrs later she finds herself back in his presence. But then her sister decides its time to leave again. They do and she starts to see Ryder again. But she keeps it a secret from her sister Laura. Then the story ends right when he tells her to take him home, to her house. They start to discuss the future and then the book stops. There's a sneak peak into the next book also. I guess you have to pick up the next book to see what the whole rundown is.

I'm really not sure how I feel about this one. It's very well written, but leaves more questions than answers. It is a good set up for the series, I think. But I was expecting a little more than we got. It seems that the sisters are on the run from...someone? Not sure what happened in the past or what triggered the anxiety in Laura (Taylor's sister). This is Ryder and Taylor's story. They had a brief relationship 8 years prior and she just disappears one day - despite both knowing that they are each others' "one and only". Since he asks to come "home" in this short, I was anticipating the first full book to be their complete story, but this seems to be all that there is for this couple. This was very well written for a debut, but like I said, I was looking for more to keep my attention. The preview into the first full book gives more insight into why they are on the run and my be enough to have me reading further into the series.

This may be a short novella but Taylor is full of fantastic description and unanswered questions. We are introduced to a few characters and there's just enough tantalising information to let you know that a dramatic and traumatic event has obviously shaped the lives of Taylor and her sister for some years. Has the time come for them now to stop running and will there be consequences if they do? I can't wait to find out.

An intriguing and suspenseful start to a new series. I am looking forward to the story unfolding and spilling its secrets. I have a feeling it's going to be a thrilling ride.

K A Sands did a phenomenal job writing this book. Taylor is a prequel to The Razer Series. This is a mysterious and intriguing story and left me needing to know more. I love the way the Hamilton family are always there for each other and Taylor will do anything and go anywhere with her sister Laura; the bond they have is amazing.

It was so exciting to read and when Taylor went to The V to see Ryder you could definitely see the chemistry they had for each other. I can't wait to read more!

This is the first book in The Razer Series and just a teaser of what is to come and I am I looking forward to reading more by this new author!!

Great debut. Was a quick read but packed full of emotion. I connected with both characters straight off and felt their pain/struggle. Some scenes were overwhelming, so intense but I loved how this book made me feel. The writing flowed effortlessly and I wanted far more. An author to watch out for. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series

I FLOVE this short read!!

I have not read the others but damn this one had me in tears, the things Taylor goes through for her sister is awe inspiring but she loves Ryder and she knows he is her home bit does not know how to get there after all she has done . Ryder still loves her with all his heart and lets her know it. This is a short read but so worth it.

It was ok but , it left me hanging.

People need to read for themselves .it didn't feel like it was a complete story. It was ok but i feel like more information about the characters and why were they in hiding?

A super fast read which piqued my interest but leaves a lot of unanswered questions. A teasing introduction to the series. I will read the next book to see if any of those answers come.

I’d say 3.5 but giving a 4 purely because I’d like to know what happens next

Well, I went into this book not knowing much about it... and I felt like after I was done, I still did not know enough about it. This is getting such rave reviews, and maybe it is warranted. It was well written, however, it felt like I was missing a huge part of the story - kind of like I came into the story halfway through and missed the entire beginning. I know it was just a teaser for the full first book of the series, and I am hoping that it fills in the blanks for me. I know it is about Taylor and her sister who seem to be on the run or in hiding, but I am yet to figure out why. On to Calling Time!

Captivating

Can I just start by saying I usually dislike these small introductions to a series, because nine times out of ten they're pointless to me. However, Taylor was powerful and captivating from the get go. It hooked me in and didn't let go. I want to find out more now. I need to know that Ryder and Taylor get a happy ever after, and I need to know what the past held for Taylor and Laura.
a definite must read.

One heck of a start for a new series, and an even bigger bang for a new author. This is the debut novella of a brand new author, and this does not read as a debut.
Taylor reads like a book created by a seasoned veteran.

"I don't care where, Taylor, I need away from here," she griped irately, "I want to be on my own, be me. Don't you get it?"

The Hamilton's are a family who do everything together and for eachother.
No sacrifice is too big. They don't even need to ask, they live on instinct and true devotion for one another..
Taylor is about family and unconditional love.
It asks so many questions and leave so many of these unanswered.
The wait for the next installment will be tortuous. I have to know how this continues.

Sand's has grabbed me by the face and pulled me into a world I cannot and will not want to leave, thank you and bravo!!!!
