Angel Leya is a hopeless romantic who’s been dreaming about her OTP (one true pairing) for as long as she can remember. She’s a lover of the paranormal and believer in the supernatural, and she infuses all her stories with at least a touch of that magic.
Leya is a USA Today bestselling author and Readers’ Favorite 5-star recipient.
Her claim to letters came from joining the Shifter Academy universe with four other incredible authors, all of whom are bestsellers and/or award winners in the paranormal romance and urban fantasy genres. You can learn more at www.TheShifterAcademy.com.
When not writing, she can be found reading, binging on sweets, and reigning over her four beautiful children like the evil queen she’s always wanted to be (just ask them).
Although she tries to read widely, she prefers her books from the young adult category, like JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Suzanne Collin’s Hunger Games, and AL Knorr’s Elemental Origins series.
Great follow up from part one. The dangers--and the mysteries--intensify as Astrea and the unicorn she saved make their way through the forest. The addition of the elf, Gander, brings additional spice to the mix.
There are moments of humour to lighten the mood and show how the relationships between the characters are developing.
Lost is book 2 in Anel Leya's Running Toward Illumia series. Astrea is in big trouble. She has taken Windmane, the unicorn she had tracked and hunted, from her tribe that lived banished within the Mist. The Banned have warned her never to return, certain her actions condemned them to starve. She had fled as quickly as she could, unaware a trap lay in wait. She had heard tales of ogres in the Mist, but thought their eating habits were thought to be but a tale to scare children into submission. How wrong she had been. Bound and captured her only hope comes from Gander, a somewhat shifty elf, but his interest seemed only to be in saving the unicorn. He said this beast was this charge, and for the moment they all had the same goal, escaping the Mist and reaching Illumia. A hidden secret is revealed, there is more at stake than reaching Illumia, once she arrives there is a destiny awaiting, that is if she arrives.
Lost is book 2 in Anel Leya's Running Toward Illumia series it is charming with a subtle urgency that drives the reader onwards through the short tale.
