The only man who’s ever gotten me off also gave me a baby. And he doesn’t even know it. Jessa The only good thing that’s ever come from knowing Cole Frost is my two-year-old daughter, Lucy. She doesn’t even know he exists. And I intend to keep it that way. Cole was never the nice sweet guy like the ones I knew in high school. He was a man who took the reins, and he steered me into pure ecstasy. I’d never known real pleasure in my life until Cole touched me down there with his mouth. And then he left, shattering my heart into a million pieces. He left me pregnant, but I never told him. Now he’s back in town, those blue eyes and big hands sending all kinds of dirty thoughts racing through my mind. But nothing’s changed. He’s still arrogant, cocky, and condescending, the billions he’s earned making him even more of a bastard than he already was. I can’t let him in. Because this time he won’t just break my heart. He’ll break Lucy’s as well… Cole I always worried I was too rough with her. A sexual deviant, devouring her body. She’s better than that—sweeter. She needs someone who will be gentle with her, go slow, treat her carefully. Not some bastard like me who cut and run at the first sign of any real emotion. But I’m back anyway. I’ve been a man starving these last three years not having her in my life, not seeing her beautiful face or hearing her sweet voice. Instead of killing me, though, it’s made me work so much harder. Jessa has been my driving force all along. I knew it would be hard seeing her but I didn’t think it’d turn my mind upside down. First glance at her in that white tank top she was wearing and I knew without a hint of hesitation that I wanted her. Her curves were really testing the strength of the fabric, and all I wanted to do was pull her aside and close my mouth around her. But she was so cold to me that maybe…. No. I know Jessa hasn’t forgotten me. She’s pissed, I get that. But I’ll convince her that we can still be together. Even if I have to play dirty to do it. The Billionaire’s Baby is a standalone second chance secret baby romance with a guaranteed HEA.
Because this book has the exact kind of h I do not like - weak, with no backbone. She starts out with attitude, and in 2 seconds flat, she's doing everything he tells her to do. I'm serious. She's mad because he basically walked out on her, and not an hour later he essentially has her crawling to him and begging. Ugh, no.
The intimate scenes also do not work for me. There is a big difference between sexy/erotic banter and crude, raunchy dialogue. You get the latter in this book. Also, there's very little character development, which is sad really because the plot had potential, it just fell short for me. I gave it one star because I actually finished it, and one because at least the grammatical errors were minimal.
Frustrating read when there are words missing from the sentence
Jessa was weak female ... just how weak gets interrupted by sentences that are not complete. Just on the first few chapters I had to fill in missing words in multiple sentences. That's not a good thing because I get a distracted from the storyline.
I don't know where to start...but I have to start somewhere, so here it goes...
First and foremost, Cole Frost is grade A asshole. Second, Jessa is a weakling and stupid. Seriously, after Cole left her and came back, the first thing she did was spread her legs?
The author needs to find a better editor. There are a lot of sentences that seemed unfinished. I'm not sure if the readers are supposed to fill in those missing words.
I like the heroines in the story stronger and smarter. And the heroes, swoon-worthy.
This should have been a good plot if only, it was written in such a way that the main characters aren't too much of an asshole or a world class stupid.
This was one of those books that throw you off so you rush to finish it. I swear these characters were so exasperating!! Both of them needed a couple of good slaps to get it together. This book was not what I expected. First there is a 3 or 4 month old baby on the cover. That and the title tells me what its about. When you read the blurb it states the child is two then all of a sudden in the actual book the child goes to being three all along. Someone forgot what they wrote I guess. But its not even that the book to me doesn't really fit the theme.
I love a good romance but this was really bad and I skipped massive amounts till I gave up at about 30%! I've read quite a few sex scenes but the few I read in this book were a bit cringy. If you like books where the female lead loses all backbone when meets up with gorgeous male lead because she can't stop herself taking her clothes off then this is the book for you.
Well things catch up to you even when you don’t want them to. Cole couldn’t take the small town life anymore. He was tired of the farm. His father wanted him to take over the farm. That is not what he wanted out of life. His father gave him an ultimatum and Cole packed a bag to leave. He went to Jessa and asked her to leave with him. Jessa told him no. Cole went on to make something of himself. Something so simple turned out to be profitable. He has a billion dollar company. He always kept Jessa in his heart. While back in town he runs into Jessa. The feelings are still there between them. Jessa just has a secret she is not ready to tell. This story is amazing. Small town boys comes back home as big time man.
My eyes hurt now because I rolled them so much after just reading 30% of this book. This woman is lame, lame, lame and all the intimate parts of the book were just cringe worthy, after first one I started to skip pages when they started to "talk dirty" and I like the fire in the sex but in this book it felt so wrong. I'll give the 1star because I didn't drop it like hot potato but I wish I would've.
This was a fantastic book and I can't wait to read more of this author's work.Jesse Cole had a few bumps in the road ,but they worked them out. There is something about second chance love that gets my heart to beat a little faster because you want everything to work out so we can all have our HEA and that is just what this author gave us.Keep up the great work.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for the author. I’m such a big Paige North fan, and although I really enjoyed this booked, it did kind of lack a little depth. She wasn’t upset enough. She gave in so quickly, I thought she was going to run off with his clothes and leave him stranded and naked. Not at all what I thought it would be when reading the summary. But, it still kept me reading on, so thumbs up for that.
Story line wasn't bad, but did anyone bother to actually read this book before it was published? Was it ever edited? Drives me crazy when I have to read a sentence more then once to try to figure out what the writer is trying to say.
The story line was interesting but the execution was not. Also it ended so abruptly with no updates on the other characters. Just read it to the end to finish it.
A good second chance romance but I think I lost the excitement of it after I didn’t feel the emotions Jessa should show towards Cole. It felt as if he just left for a day instead of over three years. A hot read but didn’t feel real to me.
Such a great book! Jess’s is super strong but weak in her own way. Cole is obviously an Alpha with a chip in his shoulder. It was an up and down book, but in the end, love won out!
Worst book I've ever read. Period. Nothing annoys me more than a female lead that seems to not have her head on straight and falls at the slightest touch. I get you want to have thay romantic feel but jeez you didn't have make the woman so weak. Ome minute shes vowing to keep syrong and one kiss and shes taking off her clothes. I hated it. Hated it. Hated it. Hated it. Will never read a book from this author again. Thoroughly disappointed.
