Too basic for my taste, but I'm not sure the author can be blamed for that - I in retrospect should definitely have gone for an 'advanced text'. The author can however be blamed for the excessively verbose coverage, which meant that much fewer topics were covered in the book than could have been covered, had the coverage been more focused and less filled with irrelevant details and comments.
The topics he covers are mostly covered decently, even if for example I found his coverage of nested IF-functions a bit harder to follow than it ought to have been, due to the choice of examples.
Altogether I guess it's a sort of okay-ish book and if you don't know e.g. how the functions he covers in the book work you'll definitely learn something from it, but it's also definitely nothing special, and given the combination of a low page count and verbose coverage, I must admit I was a bit disappointed.
