This. Was. So. Good.

Just . . . SO GOOD! I love the short stories that are packed with so much depth and emotion in only a couple thousand words. This is one of those. Simply beautiful! The salvation message was so delicately thrown in, it didn't feel shoehorned at all. Maggie has such a way with words, I can't wait to read more by this talented author! Highly recommended!

Wow!! This was so good! I love WW2 short stories and this one is now on my favourite list! It was so well-written and the main characters feelings were portrayed so well. I could feel the pain he was enduring, which was both terrible and amazing at the same time!

So worth the read!

This was a great little read and is about a scene from The Star Under the City but from a different point of view (which just so happens to come from Willie, who is my favorite character in TSUtC). I personally think it's best when read just after reading the other book, but people seem to have enjoyed it as a stand alone work as well (although you do miss a lot of things in it if you're not familiar with the other book.) Anyway, it's a great little read that shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to finish.

This was a fairly good short story.
Pros:
- the writing is excellent. I see a looot of potential in this author and look forward to reading her other stories
- the description was probably my favorite part
- the action was played out fairly well. I knew what was going on and I felt my pulse racing

A few cons:
- I honestly felt like there wasn't that much to the story. Was there a plot here? Maybe I'm just used to much longer stories that have the space for plot twists and turns etc. and since this was a short story there just wasn't room for it? Tbh I felt a bit underwhelmed

Overall though, it was fairly good. I'll definitely be reading her longer books (I think she has one released currently?), and hope to see more in the future! 3.5 stars

This is a moving story! I really like how the main character is shown feeling afraid but still holding to his beliefs and seeing that as his primary mission instead of freaking out. I can't wait to read the full-length novel now!

This is such a good story, and so different! I haven't read anything of this author's before, and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough - I would have loved for it to have continued for a while! But I've read that it ties in to one of the author's other works - in which case, I would love to read that one! This definitely felt like a prequel to something:)

I wanted to like this but found myself unmoved by the story. As much as I appreciated the sentiment, it felt a bit too fast for the story.

This was really short, but it's hard to have hope in Nazis' clutches. The worst war to ever consider about is Hitler and his Nazi's.

This is a wonderful little read. It was amazing to see things from another perspective, and to see how trust in our Heavenly Father can truly bring so much good. For those who have read The Star Under the City, I would highly recommend that you read this!
