Forbidden Truth

Rate this book
One thing that Jackson craves above anything else is honesty, and when he doesn’t get that from Cole things start to change. Cole knows that Jackson is easily swayed with intimacy and he uses this to stop Jackson from finding out his truth.

Jackson may be tangled up with Cole and it is in more ways hotter than hell, but hell is a place that Jackson has spent far too long in. With a revelation from his mother that changes everything is Jackson ready to step out on his own, and leave the comforts of Cole’s ridiculously sexy body behind?

A steamy sexy gay erotica short that will more than entertain.

Part two in the Novocaine Series.

4.5 The second short in what now known as gonna be more than two jeeeehh!

Jackson eighteen years old and awful neglected by his mom has a sexual relationship with his stepfather. They secretly come together.
Cole is hiding more besides his relationship with Jackson. Why in the hell would someone marry such an evil person....Cole is silent about it...
After his mom tells him something while she is drunk and mad....Jackson knows what to do.

Again seductive erotic but there is more story, more to discover, more provocative. Jackson is growing up fast.

Written in a fast pace and in a very pleasing way. Erotic level is somewhat lower than #1 so less exhausting lol....the story compensates this fully. It makes me eager to know more about Jackson, his background and future!

So this story starts where the last one finished with Jackson & Cole together while Jackson's mum, Dina, is still away. Cole hasn't left Jackson's bed to sleep in his own marital bed!
When Dina arrives home all hell brakes loose between her and Cole, with Jackson hearing some of the argument! What has Dina got on Cole?
Dina gives Jackson a letter of his, which she has already opened and read, confirming his place at university in London. How is he going to tell Cole he's leaving? He needs to find out this secret too so he goes looking for Cole wanting answers, only to get sidetracked by some hot sex with Cole.
After another heated argument with Dina, she tells him she will finally be rid of him and that she's not his biological mother! His mother was killed in a car accident, but while on her deathbed she made Dina promise to look after Jackson! She was stuck with Jackson and she told Cole this a week before the wedding!!!!! WTF Cole knew all this time and Jackson thought he cared for him!
Needing to get away from both of them he contacts his uni asking when he can move in, the reply now, so he packs up ready to leave. He's done with Dina and Cole and leaves to make a fresh start on his own.
I'm looking forward to what happens next, will Cole win him back and will Dina realise she does love Jackson like a son?

With a whole can of worms opened up we pick up where we left off at the end of Forbidden Lust where Cole is off with "mother of the year" for their honeymoon. Wait, honeymoon? Yes, you read that correctly, Cole did in fact marry the mother. I mean, this wouldn't be a taboo story if he didn't, right? Well not all is as it appears and this book drops a ton of bombs on us. A drunken reveal and a painful silence both push Jackson to make a decision. To stay with Cole or go to college and away from the man he's falling for?

No relationship can survive if there is no honesty and this is what Jackson is struggling with the most. Without revealing what happens in the book I'll just tell you that no matter what happened or didn't, my vote is for college. I do want Cole to sort out his past and his present and for him to let Jackson into his heart and his vault of secrets where he belongs. I also want Jackson to have a chance to grow up, mature, experiment, and become the man he is capable of becoming before he and Cole come together for good.

Is that what will happen? Who knows? But I am eagerly awaiting to see where the author takes us.

3.5 stars rounded up, read and willingly reviewed this ARC for the author.

“Hello Jackson. Mummy’s home and we need to have a conversation.”

The story continues with Jackson and Cole having spent an entire week together after Cole's marriage to Jackson's mother. The two have a wonderful sexual connection, but have yet to chat about the important things. Shortly after Dina comes home Jackson finds out he is accepted to his college of choice. For a brief moment he's excited to finally getting a chance to leave home, but then realizes just how hurt he is to have to leave Cole.

Jackson learns of a life long secret a few weeks before heading to college, which Cole knew about and didn't tell him. So, Jackson decides to leave for college early, breaking Cole's heart and making for an emotional goodbye.

I like this second part of the story just a little more then the first. The author has an eye for ending a lot of the chapters with great 1-2 liners. There was a lot more emotion in this and more interaction between all the characters. I'm excited to see how the rest of the story unfolds.

A venture into the taboo

We pick up where we left off with Forbidden Lust. Jackson and his new stepfather Cole are getting to know each other intimately. Dina – Jackson’s mother and Cole’s new wife – is finishing up the honeymoon without her new husband as he’s come home to be with his new stepson.

Dina is over-the-top cruel. Vicious and nasty. Almost a caricature. Turns out there are reasons why she is as resentful of Jackson as she is – using the revelation to cruelly hurt him.

So despite his newly-developing feelings for Cole, Jackson faces some tough choices.

This is a very quick read, again venturing into the taboo. There is more to come in this series and it will be interesting to see how Jackson embraces his new-found freedom.

Jackson is in a tough verbally-abusive situation and Cole seems like a knight in shining armour. But the relationship is taboo. Since both are consenting adults, I’m okay with this – to a point. (see above comments about Dina). It is easier to condone what you would normally morally abhor when you can see the monster.

I enjoy these quickies. Enough to get a taste of the forbidden but left wanting more.

The continuation of Jacksons story has Cole and Jackson sharing an intense week of hot sex and casual togetherness that is morphing into something else. Of course, Dina/Mum finally comes home and shit hits the fan in all sorts of ways.
When Jackson get his University acceptance letter he finds out some hard truths about his mother and Dina delights in taunting him and hurting him one last time.
In the first review I though the editing needed a stronger hand but I am wondering now if this is the difference between English/English and American/English. I understood all the meanings but the word choices sounded odd to my American ears. An excellent addition to this series can’t wait for the next installment.

So the story goes on and gets hotter! We get to know more about Cole and Jackson. I was glad to see a clear distinction in the writing of each character. Each voice was very clear.
It surprised me that the story was located in the UK. There is a reference about Jackson going to university in London. This should have been addressed in the first book by constructing the world better. Also, the characters don't "sound" very British to me.
Still, as the action progresses and we see more of the characters I find myself wanting to know what happens next. Is Cole going to follow Jackson to London? Why is Dina such a cow, and what does she have on Jackson? I guess we'll have to read on...

A quick and short story that is the continuation of book 1. It follows the story of Jackson and Cole, Jackson's stepfather. We get unexpected twists in this book that I did not see coming which explains why Dina is the way she is with Jackson, still unjustified but explained. Still curious as to what Dina has on Cole and can't wait to see what happens next.

Another hot and sexy read from the Novocaine series! Unfortunately the lack of editing does make it difficult to read this book. We learn a lot more about Jackson's past and find out that Cole had to marry Dina. Jackson is accepted into a university in London and decides to head there early after a fight with Cole. I want to find out what happens next and I am looking forward to reading the third book in this series. The author kindly provided me with an ARC.

**I received an advanced copy for review**

Sooo, still not my cup of tea. I have to admit Jackson had no problem letting Cole no how he felt, but the same couldn't be said for Cole. And then there's that wicked witch Dina...have you ever wanted to just throttle someone? Well I'd like to get my hands on her!
I have to admit the in the first book Jackson came across all 'poor little me', but in this book, I really felt that Jackson has started to grow up into a fine young man. He took the bull by the horns and made some tough decisions!
Happy reading
