From this bestselling page turner series comes a Christian romantic suspense complete with a freedom-seeking woman, a hurt and judgmental ranch manager, and a force of darkness determined to keep them both enslaved. Don't miss this rural thriller that drives home a poignant message about the freedom found in following Jesus. A freedom-seeking believer has done the one thing she swore never to do -- move back to Miller's Creek. Though Bella followed God's leading in her quest for freedom, she never imagined He'd take her back to the place so full of hurtful memories. And she's struggling to understand why. Especially since at every turn, people seem determined to remind her about her checkered past and condemn her for it in the present. At Miller's Ranch, the hard-as-nails ranch manager yearns for someone with whom to share his life. But Clay's not prepared for a softening of his heart toward the woman who betrayed him years ago. Perhaps the best way to handle it is to make sure she leaves Miller's Creek. This time forever. Can Bella and Clay release their chains to find a freedom that has always been theirs? Or will false accusations and the lies they believe condemn them both to a life of emptiness and enslavement to the past? Written with the feel of Mitford and Mayberry, readers have fallen in love with Miller's Creek. Will you? Grab your copy of this rural thriller today.

I don't know what I didn't like about this book, but it just didn't work for me. The author tried to create all this angst and tension which was really unnecessary. I really didn't care for Clay at all--he really was not putting God first in his life, and if Bella was so committed to following God's plan that she put herself in danger, she would not have yoked herself to someone so uncommitted. I did finish the book, but will not be reading more in the series.
Gossip and small rural towns. You can't please everyone, and sadly sanctimonious people create the Devil's work, in the name of the Lord. I am not a Gospel type person, but I truly enjoyed this story with a plot. Secrets of the plot not totally revealed until the end which make this a good solid read.
Still I Will Follow by Cathy Bryant Have read other works by this author in the Miller Creek series so know I am going to enjoy this one. Bella has returned to Miller's Creek as a teacher, music for elementary school. Others shun her because of her past, they think she is still bad news. She's broken her tail bone. She also prays that the rumors from the past wills tay away from the kids she's teaching... Story also follows Clay who is a farmer and had dated Bella and wondered about her life now... Like hearing how he manages the ranch and even hiring others-he knows what questions to ask. Love hearing how the disabled children are able to come to the ranch and how they respect the rules of riding. Love that I know some of the characters from previous books read. Like alternating chapters, Clay and his ranch and environment disasters, and Bella her struggles to prove herself and dealing with the kids. Like that they get together to discuss their problems with one another... So much action takes over involving drugs, accusations about God and how the townsfolk stick up and believe. Misunderstandings are talked out and we learn more about the family. Lots of surprises along the way. Author bio included. Other works are highlighted at the end. Book club discussion questions at the end. Excerpt from Crossroads is included. Love how we've met the character highlighted in the next book so we kinda know them a bit already before they get a book/story of their own to tell. Received this as a free gift and this is my honest review.
If I had to pick a favorite romance author, it would be Cathy Bryant. Her books are never just about hormones and emotions and falling in love. She tackles real-life issues with sensitivity and style. Her characters and settings are authentic. The plot lines surprising but fitting.
This story is no exception. Beautiful Bella Masterson is back in Miller’s Creek for two reasons: 1) Her dad’s health is failing and she’s his only living child. 2) God told her to come, even though she left for good reason and vowed never to return. But that was before she gave her life to Jesus Christ.
Bella’s former boyfriend, Clay Barnes, is not happy to see her back. Nor is he pleased about the new cowhand his boss, Steve Miller, hired despite Clay’s staunch misgivings. Clay finds himself battling on several fronts, dealing with ping pong emotions concerning his old flame and his boss’s blindness to the faults of this trouble-making employee.
Both deal with old hurts, wanting to be free of the painful shackles that bind them. Both face false accusations and the potential loss of jobs and friendships they love. Both have to decide whether to trust God and follow where He leads or return to familiar habits.
If you’re looking for an uplifting read that will be hard to put down, this is it. The book is free, so kindly overlook the few typos and enjoy the ride!
I have enjoyed every book in the series. Far from being the light reading so many faith-based romances offer, Cathy Bryant develops characters placed in anguishing dilemmas, and deftly illustrates the work of the Holy Spirit on their journeys. She masterfully shows the process of conversion in many characters, and while many may see this as a turnoff, others may find inspiration as they relate to the situations. In Still I Will Follow, Bella, a gifted choir teacher with a less-than-stellar past in the town of Miller's Creek returns in order to care for her terminally ill and very ungrateful father. She has left behind her past and learned to trust God in her difficulties, but she finds that many of the important people in the town are unforgiving and hostile, and one of her students and his self-righteous mother resolve to bring her career to a halt. Behind the scenes she works with law enforcement to uncover a criminal that has brought his activity to Miller's Creek and threatens the man she has always loved. The resolution is suspenseful and satisfying, especially if you count on that happy ending.
The characters in this series and their trials and joys have been SO interesting that I almost hate to come to the end of the series. I admit that I'm a harsh critic about grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos, and believability. This series could have used quite a bit more proofreading and editing, BUT the characters and plots were enjoyable and made me want to read more.
In this 7th story of Miller's Creek, a social outcast came back to town to take care of her dying father. Pretty much the whole town, including her father, made sure she knew how unwelcome she was. Because of her faith, though, she kept doing her best to be kind and to show sincere love to everyone. Finally, most people realized that she had really changed since she left years ago. The "happily ever after" ending was predictable, but perfect for this series.

I totally enjoyed reading this 7 set series "Miller's Creek" by Cathy Bryant. She has a gift of pulling the reader into the story and letting them experience the situations. She has successfully addressed many issues in today's society from a Biblical view. At times, I felt as if God was speaking directly to me, and I would lift up His Name in praise. Each book, from first to the last managed to glorify God and His teachings. Cathy Bryant has become one of my favorite authors, and I look forward to reading more of her inspirational books. Thank you and God bless you, Cathy, for continuing to follow our precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and glorifying His precious Holy Name...🙏🙏🙏
I loved this book. It is about Christian romance but so much more. It is about a girl named Bella who came back home after 20 years. Her father had cancer, and she came back to take care of him. She felt it was what God wanted her to do. She had left a mess when she moved away. While following what she thought God wanted her to do, she received a lot of healing for herself and others she knew. I have never felt so close to God as I did while reading this book. I highlighted so many prayers and passages that touch me. If you want an inspirational book that will help you in your faith walk, you will love this book. Thank you, Cathy Bryant, for teaching me how to be a better Christian.
This is the story of one woman's faith and perseverance in the face of townspeople being judgmental and unforgiving. Bella is a kind, loving and giving person who deserved better treatment from the town and Clay, yet she faithfully followed Christ to make a positive impact in the lives of others and herself. This is another good installment in the Miller's Creek series with some romance, mystery and a little bit of action too. I highly recommend this series.
In my opinion , this is a great book. We can can give God the glory , that your faith is so great and your walk with God is so personal.
Full five star reading. Thanks so much for the strait and plain talk of Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour. I loved your book and plan to read more of your books.
Enjoyable read about following God's call in your life even when you don't understand why He is leading you there. The characters in this story struggle to rekindle a romance that was shattered by misunderstanding from events in their past. There is a bit of romance, forgiveness and suspense throughout the story.
Other than continuing great stories with wonderful characters from Miller's Creek, I also found a very important spiritual truth. People aren't perfect but every person is loved. Buck and Clay may have been hard to emotionally grow close to but God can make changes to willing hearts. Bella's indecision at times slowed the story but its true to life and this fictional world seems so real. I wish I had a Miller's Creek, or at least more books in this series.
No matter how things may go, as long It's God we need to follow
The best book about following Jesus no matter what situation may be at hand or even break you. Oftentimes we feel we're alone but God is with us throughout the way. I recommend this book to all people who are going through hardships in their lives, it will help to strengthen their faith to God
Sometimes the stakes to follow and obey are high, but freedom can only be found in following the One who can set her free. Bella's story is another wonderful addition to the "Miller's Creek" series you won't want to put down.
Wow! The only thing I disliked was the painful memories it brought back from my own past. I love the Lord too, and if the same thing happened to me, I pray that I would be as gracious as Bella was. But I want to hear the music to the song at the end!!!
An excellent work of Christian fiction. Cathy Bryant has created some well-developed characters and a plot that made me think about my own walk of faith. I've listed this book as drama because, to me, it's more a story about life and doesn't neatly fit into one particular genre.
If you are in need of God's truths in your life this series is for you. I read all the books in a week's time. They are amazing! They are well written and the characters are so real! I want more of this series!!!!!
New to Christian novels and am really enjoying the strength the characters portray and the peace gained from believing in the Lord. Enlightening and thought provoking.
I loved this series, wish there were more. Bella was amazing, coming back to Miller Creek after the way she had been treated, quite the role model and mentor and yet there are still people judging her poorly. Good Christian message, good enjoyable book.
This is my second read. I knew as the names jumped out that I had read before her I was compelled to read again in its entirety. Congratulations to the author. This is one of the few books I have read more than knce.
This is an awesome book. Bella and Clay had a long, hard road back to each other. But it was beautiful to see how God led them through their own road to freedom and back to where they belonged: to each other.
This is such a great book - last in the Miller's Creek series. This is probably my favorite. So much truth in here; Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He said if we follow Him, we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free.
True love is never lost. Like with every other thing we have to work at it.I like the explanation of the bible verses and the true meaning of God to all of us. We truly forget and become slave to everything. God is good all the time.
As Christians it is sometimes difficult to accept things don't always work out the first or even second time around. Still I Will Follow shows trials, sadness, questions, and the triumph of faith in the end. If we are faithful, God is even more so if we continue to follow him. It is worth the read.
I love all of the Miller's Creek stories. The christian aspect makes for great and realistic reads. I only hope Cathy keeps writing more! There's got to be more people Miller's Creek!
Its one of the best novels I've read in a long time. Why? Because it shows when we stand for, God in the tough time, he will reward us with giving us the desire of our heart in ways only he could accomplish
This novel wasn't exactly what I expected. The story line was delightful and going along as I expected. But then the twists began. I was not expecting the first one, and then there were more. Thoroughly enjoyed ethic mystery/romance.
