Sometimes the wrong choice is the only one that makes sense. Fomor and his six celestial companions must make the choice between war and betrayal. In desperation, they escape to Earth, only to find that the war has followed them, and the choice must be made after all. In an epic battle between good and evil, the players are not always what they seem. With a child's life hanging in the balance, will Fomor and the others be able to find the right choice before it is too late?

Formor and his six angel companions are in the middle of battle when they decide to hide out on Earth, even though there is the chance that they may not make it home. But on Earth they learn that evil is all ready there when they witness a child being sacrificed and two humans being tormented. It seems Earth is not as safe as they thought.
This novella is the beginning of the series, which I have not read. It kind of made me curious for the rest of the series yet it also confused me. Clearly it is about the battle in heaven and the angels and demons on Earth and their interactions with humans. I have to say that I don’t really understand what a Rephaim is and was a little lost.
Overall this is a quick read and an interesting introduction to the series. I am curious to see where it goes from here and I am excited to read Decent.
I received Catalyst from Ari at Candid Book Reviews for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.
This book is an extremely interesting and imaginative read. I particularly loved the style of the book and it made sure to grab me from the very beginning and hold my attention to the very end.
It's an extremely fast paced book with full of adventure. The characters were very inventive and they make sure to engage you from the start.
First time reading any of this authors work and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a well thought out and interesting story. I found myself looking forward in anticipation to the next scene. The story flowed very well and at the end I wanted more. There are many twists and turns. I did not want to put it down
This book can be enjoyed time and time again.I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
Will definitely recommend to all friends and family
This book is only three chapters. It may be a better read after reading the series, to g8ve background. I felt a bit lost reading it without knowing the series. I cannot say that this held my interest very well, even though it is interesting. It's obviously about Angels, and the battle/s between "good" and "evil". A new take on the Judaic mythology perhaps. However with the leaders name be Fomor and with the boy speaking what could be Gaelic - could this also be about the Fomorian battle with the Fae? In this case my interest is piqued and I may continue to read at least the first book to see how the story plays out. I received this book free for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I think this is a very good start to the series, the plot is very interesting. To me, prequel's are teasers & usually they are never long enough to sink your teeth into the plot. This is just a taste to see if you like the content, I'm sure the next book will bring more understanding, this prequel does immediately jump-start the action in this adventure though. I received a copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
This story was very discriptive and attention grabbing from the start. The story starting in the midst of battle and kept my attention until the end. The novella is only three chapters long and as it is a prelude novela a few bits don't add up but will probably add to the main story and make sense if you keep reading the series. A good start to the series and it would help to get the feel and tone of the series.
This book was a decent read. I enjoyed the story line, but it was too short of a book. It was a little confusing to follow at times, but I have since learned that it is a prequel to a series so reading the rest may answer some questions. I do not, personally, like the introduction of vampire like beings, however am eager to continue reading the series to see how the story line plays out.
Love angels stories? Sure do, even if it leaves you wanting more. This is a story of a group of Angels in war with the Fallen. The war has just begun. Where they are being sent too, they think it's all over. But looks can be deceiving to the naked eye. Will they be able to save theirselves and the humans they are sworn to protect?
This was not my cup of tea at all. I was hoping it would be better than it turned out to be. I don't like human sacrifices let alone one that involves a child. This is not a series I will continue. I do others might enjoy this more than I did.
