Distraction

Rate this book
Wolf shifter Orion knows primary duty is to his pack. But how can he focus on work—or anything else for that matter—when he can't take his eyes off his curvy assistant? Orion enjoys his life in the city, but knows one day soon he’ll have return to Evergreen Island to take his place as a Beta of the Sundown Pack. Until then, he’s determined to focus on work. That is, if he can keep himself from being distracted by the luscious curves on his assistant Natalie.

Natalie knows nothing about Orion’s wolf-shifter status, and she provides a tempting escape from his duty to the pack. Still, Orion manages to maintain his professionalism. He may not be able to keep his mind off Natalie, but at least he can manage to keep his hands off her.

But when Natalie witnesses a murder and the police believe she might be in danger, Orion sees no other option but to take to his house to keep her safe.

Now that Natalie is living under his roof, it’s inevitable that she’ll get under his skin—and into his bed.

But the sparks of physical attraction flying between them are one thing. Expecting Natalie to accept his true identity? That’s another thing entirely.

And the fact that Orion is a wolf shifter? That might be the only thing the ever-capable Natalie just can’t handle. ***Fans of Milly Taiden, T.S. Joyce and Terry Bolryder will love this steamy novella featuring a strong Alpha hero, a smart, sassy BBW heroine, plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom, and a happily ever after.**

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Orion is a wolf shifter who is being driven mad with lust for his gorgeous curvy assistant, Natalie. She has no idea that Orion is a wolf shifter and she is proving to be extremely distracting for him but he's being strong and keeping his hands to himself even though he can't stop thinking about her. But when Natalie witnesses a murder her life is in danger and he offers to take her to his home for protection. How on earth is he going to keep his shifter secret from her and, even worse, how will he keep his hands off her? This is the third book of a series of wolf shifters by the wonderful author, Aria Chase. It may be read as a standalone but, I think, it is far better read as a part of the series. It is a shortish story with a rather abrupt ending and I feel that an epilogue letting us know how their HEA is developing would have been helpful. I do enjoy reading all of Aria's stories and look forward to book 4. I encourage you all to try this book :)
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked this story of Orion and Natalie. Orion is a beta with the Sundown Wolf pack and works in the city, but knows he will have to return home soon. This is the third book in this series. Natalie was hired as Orion's assistant and has a crush on him. She thinks he would never be interested in her because she is a curvy girl and thinks she is plain. Orion thinks Natalie is beautiful and he loves her curves. He has a hard time keeping things professional with Natalie. One night after work, Natalie is walking home when she witnesses a murder. The murderers chase Natalie, but she manages to escape and calls Orion for help. Orion's wolf wants to protect Natalie and decides she would be safer at his house. Can he handle having Natalie so close and how will she feel about him being a wolf shifter? This was a quick read, but it was steamy. I loved how protective Orion was about Natalie and how he knew he loved her. Good one

Having never before read Aria Chase books, I was glad to have started with this one. I loved both Natalie and Orion's characters. However I do wish there had been a epilogue for the story as I felt the ending was really abrupt, but other than that I really liked the book and hope to read more Aria Chase books.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was to cute. Natalie has a thing for her boss but she is not the kind of girl to throw herself at someone even if they are the hottest man she has ever seen. Little does she know that Orion her boss has been fighting his attraction for her as well because hes not sure how a human would handle his other half. But after witnessing a murder Natalie is in danger now Orion will do anything to keep her safe even all the naughty things they have both been wanting him to do to her body. Read this book and see how well Natalie handles the truth and if Orion will be able to save her before its to late. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I really enjoy Aria Chase’s shifter romances, and this is one of her best. Distraction is an intense, passionate wolf-shifter office romance with a hot and sexy boss that’ll make you swoon and a fiercely independent assistant who isn’t going to let him push her around. Except that he came to her rescue and saved her life. Now that she’s triggered his protective instincts, Orion is no longer willing to avoid his feelings for Natalie. There’s just the small matter of his … unique abilities, his loyalty to his pack, and whether any of that will stand in the way of their HEA. Plenty of action in this book, wonderfully complex characters, and plenty of inappropriate office behavior, too. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This story's two main characters are Orion a wolf shifter and Natalie his secretary. I found them to be interesting characters and their subsequent romance was quite enjoyable as well but could have done with a little less of the sex scenes and a bit more build up of the details in main story line which was quite interesting in and of itself. It involved Natalie witnessing a murder on her walk home from work and Orion stepping up to protect her. Also I would have enjoyed it more if the story had been a bit longer as it seemed to end rather abruptly. Nevertheless it had a satisfactory conclusion so that was more important to me. All in all it was worth the read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is another sweet shifter romance by Aria Chase and although it is book 3 of the series it is stand-alone and has no real reference to the two previous books. And although it's sweet it has plenty of action and a good storyline, My only complaint is it is quite short and had quite a sudden end to it, hence the 4 stars. But if you enjoy books about wolf shifters and are looking for a quick read then I can definitely recommend this one.

I really enjoyed this read, Orion is the pack Beta but he enjoys time away from the pack running his business in the city. However his new assistant is distracting him. She is curvy and hot and he wants her in his bed even though he never sleeps with his employees.
One night after working late, She witnesses three men kill a fourth so she tries to get away but the killers hear her. Somehow he has to keep her safe and tell her that he is a wolf shifter.

Love this shifter book by Aria Chase. This story pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me hooked all the way through to the end. Orion, a hot wolf-shifter, and Natalie, his assistant, are wonderful characters with sizzling chemistry who try to deny their attraction. Once he comes to her rescue, Orion can no longer deny the attraction.

The third book in Sundown Wolves series can be read as a standalone. Orion a beta of the Sundown Pack, lives and works in the city. Natalie has been assistant, whom he is very attracted to. He however is not willing to violate his code of no work place romance. Unbeknownst to Orion, he has starred in more than one vivid erotic fantasy for Natalie. Everything is brought to a head when a n event licks Orion's protective instincts into overdrive. A fun quick read.

This story's two main characters are Orion a wolf shifter and Natalie his secretary. I found them to be interesting characters which of course lead to their romance. Natalie witnessed a murder on her walk home from work and Orion stepped up to protect her.
I felt that the story ended rather abruptly, I felt it could have gone on a bit more. Nevertheless this story is worth the read.

Its another 5star for one of my favorite authors. If you havent read any of Aria's books before, then you need to pick up these books and get to reading. Loved it, and the series. I could not put it down until I finished reading it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read it and aren’t sure if they want to. Trust me, you will love it.

Orion is the pack Beta but he enjoys time away from the pack running his business in the city. However his new assistant is distracting him. She is curvy and hot and he wants her in his bed even though he never sleeps with his employees. Natalie his assistant is very drawn to her boss but she never imagined he would show any interest to a bigger ordinary girl.
One night after working late, Natalie is walking back to her apartment when she walks into a robbery gone wrong. She witnesses three men kill a fourth so she tries to get away but the killers hear her. She goes on a mad run and manages to escape the killers but they have her purse and keys. In a panic she calls for help but instead of calling the police, she calls Orion. Orion calls the police and helps her out. Now that Natalie's life is in danger, he has no intention of letting her go. Somehow he has to keep her safe and tell her that he is a wolf shifter.
This is a great short story and I really enjoyed both lead characters. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

I am not usually into the kind of books, but this one surprised me in the most positive way. I liked it a lot. I like the use of words from the author and the way the story flows. It is an amazing read with lots of passion and chemistry.
Orion has a business where he has an assistent Natalie. They are very attracted to each other. She walks in on a robbery and sees a man get killed. They go after her. She calls Orion who calls the police and he realises he wants to keep her safe.
I like the mix of romance and paranormal. It is very well balanced in this story. This story has a action filled plot and drama in it that gives it the edge to a 5-star review.

This is an excellent book on several levels. It's a great office romance between boss and assistant. It's also a great alpha male hero protecting heroine romantic suspense story. If that's all it had been it would've been a great story. Add in the paranormal romance element, with our hero being his pack's Beta and you get a superb novel. Well written, with an action filled thriller of a plot, great chemistry between leads Orion and Natalie, a superb supporting cast, great world-building and a nice HEA. Great fun and highly recommended.
