Excellent read if you are trying to understand how to discuss political challenges with people who represent very different opinions - particularly if you are part of a society that is increasingly politically divided. I really liked the authors differentiation between political 'opponents' and political 'enemies'. She states that 'opponents' are respected as equals that can be engaged in a civilized manner. Those we decide are 'enemies' are often not treated as participants in the democratic process with equal rights to express their political opinions and argue for their political goals. Therewith we exclude them from the democratic process with all negative consequences that come with this approach. At some point exclusion will likely lead to violence against a system that actors do no longer feel part of and loyal to. While I don't agree with all points the author makes - particularly, I find the chapter on how to deal with 'terrorists' not as deeply reflected (particularly also regarding the term itself) as most other parts of the book - it is overall a most highly recommended read!

Kurzweilige, aber höchst spannende und auch wichtige Lektüre, von der man lernen kann, wie man den politischen Diskurs wieder produktiv gestalten kann.
