Now the people of Brisbane must face a new, fearsome threat. At the same time, Ethan and his small team of specialist soldiers are tasked with a mission deep within the heart of Indonesia. When the mission goes horribly wrong, they have to fight their way out of a situation that may be their end.
Keith was born in a hospital, somewhere in Australia, when he was very little. He owns every David Gemmell book ever written (and two versions of some books), including the graphic novels. To maintain some semblance of sanity, Keith likes writing fast-paced stories ranging from Fantasy and sci-fi, to modern military thrillers. He now lives somewhere else in Australia.
Another thrilling episode in The Unforeseen Series
Keith McArdle keeps up the tempo and excitement of the first two books in the series. As with previous novels, the fictional invasion of Australia and its subsequent fight to return to normality is described from the viewpoint of different characters and offers an alternative perspective on those events.
Again, as previously, the writing is very authentic and believable, especially the characterization, combat sequences and operational procedures.
Keith is rapidly becoming one of my favourite writers of contemporary action and adventure fiction and is for me on a par with the likes of Andy McNabb, Chris Ryan, etc.
Recommended if you like books that are very difficult to put down once started
Set within the same story arc as the first two books in the series the third book,k takes the reader on a different adventure. Keith clearly knows what he's writing about as he creates a believable world for the story. Couldn't put this one down, the telling of the story gets better with each book.
This third book in the series overlaps the first two in time. New heroes in different environments - the city fighting against murderous civilian looters and along side civilian insurgents. Jumping across the sea to bring the fight to the invaders. Again, hopefully unlikely, but realistic. Along with stupid higher ups and the results of an idiot military leader’s action seen in the second book. All of the books also have a bit of romance without the gritty details and people growing up. I recommend this series to any fans of action stories.
The best everyday heroes/military brotherhood/war/humanity/romance/action/thriller to come along in ages.
This series has something for everyone! The action never stops (yes, it'll keep you up just to see what happens next!) The main characters are deep, multifaceted people who you just can't help but like. You will find yourself riding the emotional and often adrenaline fueled ups, downs, whiplash curves right along with them and holding your breath as you cheer them on. You'll laugh out loud, shed a few tears, and loving their sarcasm and manner of speaking. If you're still reading this what are you waiting for??? Grab a cold drink, get comfy, and get into the series now!!
