Finley Rochon was feeling lost. His best friends had found their mates and were beginning their lives. With no clear path to what his future should look like, he felt adrift. After spending the summer with his brother Cash’s family (and with a little help from Cassie), Finley found a purpose and was going to make the most of his last year of college. That was until he met Zara.
“You say forever like it’s so easy.”
Being a doctor wasn’t just about making her parents happy, Zara Chadha wanted more from life than to be someone’s housewife. Living at home meant that she had to listen to her mother’s never-ending plans to set her up with a ‘nice boy’ who would take care of her. She wanted a career and a purpose, something to believe in. Zara’s next five years were all planned. There was no room for boyfriends or maintaining a relationship, but a harmless little fling might be okay.
“If I see it, I have to believe it…”
Finley’s biggest challenge won’t be revealing his bear to his mate, but convincing her, and her parents, that they are meant to be together forever. Will Zara be brave enough to believe everything Finley is saying and fight for their love, or will she give in to the life that has already been planned for her?
FINLEY is a standalone romance in the Pacific Northwest Bears series with no cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA.
Moxie North loves shifters. Really, she does. A lot. Big burly men mixed with fierce protective animals makes for hunky alpha shifters that will move heaven and earth for their mates.
Her heroines come in all shapes, sizes, personalities and backgrounds. They’re looking for love but want their men to win them over. Together they find their soul mate on their journey to true love.
Moxie lives surrounded by trees, wildlife, and the occasional lumberjack. She loves sci-fi, sugar in any form, and speaking only in movie quotes. Moxie went from an avid reader to a writer and loves being in the romance community. Meeting readers and talking books keeps her writing and loving her job.
Twenty-year-old Finley, once so close to his cousin, Angel, and older brother, Rainier, feels as if that's no longer the case. It's understandable considering they've found their ones, and both at such a young age, and Finley hasn't, nor is he thinking he will. He's, simply put, feeling lost, personally and educationally. He doesn't know what he wants to study in school, so his focus isn't what it should be, meaning he comes off as a slacker. He runs with it, why bother arguing? When his sister-in-law, Cassie, helps him figure out what makes him happy, which is being around the kids, Finley believes he's found his path in life. Early childhood education. His focus is now entirely on his schooling.
For twenty-one-year-old Zara, her life for at least the next few years is planned, and not necessarily by her. Yes, she wants to become a doctor, but to her mom, that's a stepping stone toward finding a good husband. Then again, in her mom's eyes, everything Zara does or doesn't do is somehow connected to the latter. She rebels, which is probably how her mom sees it, with her addictions to all things sci-fi and quirky. Her focus is entirely on her schooling.
Finley and Zara notice each other on the first day of class, but both are trying to ignore the obvious connection swirling around them. But it isn't until Finley sees her eyes that he knows...he's found his mate.
As Finley and Zara begin getting to know one another, he's all in, knowing she's his future, while at the same time wanting to make something of himself, whereas Zara is hesitant, aware of her goal, and that of her mom's vision of her husband.
Plus, Finley needs to tell Zara his secret, about his true self, and convince her parents he's the one for her.
How will Zara react upon learning Finley's heritage? Can they both accomplish their dreams while starting a new, and permanent, relationship? Is there a HEA for these two?
One-click now and follow along as Finley, finally finding his purpose, and Zara, always knowing hers, cross paths and realize there's always room for love.

I have loved this series as a whole. This book was sweet, but the insta-love was a bit too strong for me. I wanted more development from the characters. I think I prefer when the hero and heroine are a bit older as well (like Cash). It seems the characters appreciate one another more when this is the case. It also feels more genuine. I also think the reason I didn't love this one was that there honestly seemed to be no sort of conflict in the storyline. Everything just seemed too easy. I still adore this series and look forward to more!
For a while it looked like Fin was simply going to drift through college and life in general. His college days were less about the study and more about the party. Even his brother,Rain and his cousin, Angel were beginning to worry about the younger man. In reality, Fin hasn’t found what he wants. And maybe he’s feeling a bit left out of the close relationship he had with Rain and Angel. Both men have found their mates and were happily building new lives… and Fin was still waiting.
It was during a school break while back home with his family that Fin truly found his passion, what he could do for his clan and bring himself satisfaction in a job that he loved and was a help to many others as well. He returned to school a new man, focused, settled and determined. He wasn’t expecting to find her any time soon, he’d be patient as he had other things to do for now. So when her scent drifted to him as he entered the classroom he and his bear had to track that tantalizing smell down. Suddenly he understood what had hit Angel and Rain… and why they, just like himself, had absolutely no choice but to follow their mate for the rest of their lives.
I enjoyed Finley for many reasons. But mostly I believe it was Zara who captured my attention in this one. Lovely, studious, sci-fi loving Zara. The dutiful daughter with a rebel’s heart, the woman who wants her career in medicine to matter not be a placeholder until some man, probably assigned to her by her parents, comes along to make her his house slave – otherwise known as wife. She has no idea what to make of Fin, he is so beyond her experience. Yet she’s drawn to him. He makes her laugh. He takes her seriously. He’d be perfect… if it weren’t for that love at first sight or her mother’s determination to marry her off as the sole accomplishment of her life… and it would not be to Finley Rochon.
Moxie North gives us something a bit different in this story that sets it apart, for me. She brings in an ancient, honorable, diverse culture with its own mindset, traditions and life views. So that Zara is not only trying to break free of her own culture in a way to find a viable, satisfying career that matters to her – as well as a man to love who claims he will love and care for her forever, not to mention that he turns into a bear. It’s a lot to assimilate for anyone. Yet Fin and Zara make their own world together without losing the heritage that they come from… and that made their story realistic and simply riveting. While Zara’s mother was a bit of a pill to swallow, I absolutely adored her grandmother. You’ll see what I mean.
I enjoyed myself. I got the chance to catch up with some of my favorite Rochon clan members which always makes me happy. And I got a really good story as well. What’s not to enjoy about all that?
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Finley "Fin" Rochon was feeling lost after his two best-friends, his cousin Angel and his brother Rainier finding their mates. After spending some time with his brother Cash's family especially his sister-in-law Cassie. He knew what he wanted to do and just like that an unexpected person walked into his life.
"What was a man to do!?"
Zara Chadha never wanted to be a housewife. She wanted to make something of herself and be independent. Being a doctor was all she wanted to do but then she met the gorgeous and intriguing Finley Rochon.
"What was the harm in having a little fun!?"
Fin and Zara were attracted to each other from the moment they laid eyes on one another. They both had goals they wanted to achieve. When he found out that she was his mate, let's just say that he and his bear were willing to do anything to make sure their mate was happy, safe and cherished.
Loved how he turned to his Alpha Cage and Rain for advices. To see the brothers finally worked their way back to each other was heartwarming.
When Zara found out about Fin's inner animal, she was shocked and was struggling with such huge secret. She needed space which he gave her. But the distance was killing them both, she finally accepted all of him without hold backs.
Now he had his mate, Fin had to convince her parents that he was the man for her. Things didn't go as smoothly with her mother whereas the father was just happy that his daughter found someone who loved her unconditionally.
Zara meeting the Rochons was eventful, it made her feel like she was home. She finally stood up for her happiness when her mother tried to bring a third party between her and Fin. In the end her mother got what Zara had been trying to tell her before.
Aww the Rochon clan kept growing. I love the bond between Fin, Angel and Rain. The way the clan supported each other was well done.
FINLEY is the third in Moxie North's ROCHON BEARS series. It was engrossing and fascinating. Moxie North did an amazing job.
****I reveived an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.****
Love Moxie North's Rochon bears. This is about the youngest brother of Cash, Allison and Rain. His brothers and his best friend have all found their mates. Fin felt like he was being left behind and that he won't get a mate. Now after spending the summer with Cash and Cassie he has a plan thanks to Cassie. He loves kids so he is going to finish college with a degree in early education so he can open a preschool/day care. That way all of the shifter kids can get the same start in life as normal kids. He attends his first class and starts smelling something wonderful, something spicy and sweet. He realizes that it is the girl that is sitting in front of him. Zara is from a traditional Indian family. Her mother wants to arrange a marriage for her. She wants to finish college with no distractions. She wants to be a pediatric physician, so that will take time and dedication. She doesn't have time to date anyone. The first time she notices Fin is when he sits behind her in class. She runs away. The next time, she decides to go out for coffee with him. When he looks into her eyes he realizes she is his mate. Her mother doesn't approve of her dating. So she has that obstacle on her side while he has to tell her about his bear. Love how the whole Rochon family comes together to help each other and openly welcomes any mate into their family. Now we need Allison's book!
Finley comes good at last. I wasn’t sure how Ms North was going to show us a new and better side of Finley as he has been a bit of an idiot recently. I should have known better than to doubt. Finley was lost and unable to find his way and path in life, until he has a heart to heart with Cassie who points him onto the path that seems to be made for him. I loved the fact Finley had gotten his act together BEFORE he met Zara. Zara comes from an Indian background and all that that culture entails and means. Arranged marriages, strong beliefs and listening to your parents. Her relationship with her mother especially is difficult even though it is loving. Zara is very goal orientated and has a master plan for the next 10 years of her life: that of becoming a doctor. She has quietly done her own thing without rocking the boat too much until she meets Finley. These two were made for each other and I loved how Finley had to negotiate with his bear to allow Zara the time needed to make her own choices. A lovely enjoyable and well written story that gives us a good dose of the Rochons supporting one of their own and welcoming another member into the fold. This is my honest review of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I love the stories in this series! Finley was no exception. After bouts of jealousy because his best friends had found their directions in life and their mates, Fin decides to kind of hide out from himself and most of his family at is older brother Cash’s home. After a brief conversation with Cassie, his sister-in-law puts Fin on a path that he had never considered; his life gets renewed vigor for a path to take. I loved his idea and think that it was smart, family-oriented and sexy. No sooner than he gets on this tract, he has his first encounter with his mate, Zara, who comes from a traditional Indian family with a cool cousin, an open-minded grandmother, an accomplished father who is laid back enough to allow Zara to make her own decisions, and a very traditional insular mother who thinks that she is the only one who knows what is good for her daughter. I wish we had gotten to see more of her cousin in the story. The more I read these stories, though, the more I want to go out to the PNW and explore parts of it. I can’t wait for the next story in this series!
What can I say. I have been waiting for Finley's book and Moxie didn't disappoint.
I love that Finley story has come around to this book from a guy that I wasn't sure that I wanted to read about to a man that I am happy to read about. I loved the way his relationship with his family helped him find his way and supported his dream.
Zara is a great fit for Finley, strong smart sweet and a wonderful geeky girl. I think this is the first book I've read in a long time that had a heroine that I could relate to on a nerd level. Zara loves all things SciFi and well...I am a Trekkie, I follow the Force, Everything is Shiny and it's all wibbly wobbly timey wimey!
I can't recommend this book and all that Moxie offers enough!
I received an advance reader copy of this book for my honest opinion.
I really Enjoyed Finley in Zara's story. The pace flowed very well and I love the fact that family was the youngest and he finally found his mate. It was interesting the cultural differences between both. Finley has finally decided on a career that's going to help us plan in an enormous way while fulfilling his joy of being around children. Zara is going to be a doctor and in her mind she is not going to let anything distract her on accomplishing that. Finley knows he needs to win over his mate because after all she is human and he and his bear need to take it slow. What I also enjoyed was that the author included a lot of the characters from her other stories in the series so it made everything come together quite nicely.
I look forward to the next book in the series and I am hoping it is the sisters book and I hope it comes out very soon.
This book was wonderful, full of laughter, romance, and plenty of hotness!! Zara and Finley grew up completely different. Finley is a bear shifter who was able to choose his own path, free to relax and just enjoy being alive. Zara was told she needed to get a good education so she good make a good Indian wife and mother one day, she never had the chance to choose her path. Finley always thought he would be a bachelor bear, until he meets Zara, then all his plans fly out the window. But with the both of them focusing on studying and college, will their family's approve of their relationship? What's a bear to do? And how in the world does he explain to Zara that he is a bear shifter, and she is his soul mate?
I had been waiting for Finley book for awhile now and MAN!!! it was definitely worth the wait. I loved that we got cameo from the former characters and how supportive they were to Fin. The chemistry between Fin and Zara was amazing the mingling of the different cultures was pretty cool as well. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading more books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I've been waiting and waiting since Rainier's book for the next Moxie North PNW Rochons bears book.it was torture!!!! I'm hoping next we get Allison's book, or maybe a cougars book... or both!!!!! Awesome fun read!!!! Ms. Moxie North writes so,well, and I've lived them all, each and every one. In this one you get Finley, our college student, younger brother to Rainier, who is still searching for what he wants to do when he finally decides what that is, he suddenly finds a woman, Zara, whom he can't resist!!!! Such a wonderful story!!!!
Finley is finally coming back to his roots and doesn't disappoint! I love the glimpses of former characters you get to see and how they help him become who he wants to be in his story and win over his Zara. Their situations are unique and move along at a fun and sexy pace that was different from the others and yet similar in the full steam ahead way. I can't wait to see who gets their stories next in the series!
I truly do love The Rochon's. Fin is the last brother to bite the dust. He's finally decided what he wants to do., thanks to Cassie. But fate waits for no one. She put Zara in his path. Zara's number one goal was to be a pediatrician. She didn't stray. She had no entanglements to hold her back, especially a man. That changed when Fin sit down behind her in class and life took on a better meaning for her. This is not one to miss.
I need me a Rochon! This book was amazing... I love the two different cultures. Finley was trying to find his way but he didn't have direction. He has an amazing family. Supportive and able to stand beside him and help him find his way. Now that he has, he is blindsided! He meets his one!! Another amazing book by Moxie!!!
Where to start.... I'm loving getting to know the younger generation and that they are finding their mates at a younger age. Fin and Z are awesome together and really clip. Fin has finally changed his ways and found a purpose, then boom he meets his mate. This is a great book.
I can't stand her mom and her money grubbing ideas. I don't know why she thought her daughter would want to marry Rish, he is such a jackass. I love that Finley went after his mate with guns blazing.
Loved Zara and Finley. Again though I find this story lacking and I think I know why. All of the last 3 books, their plans for the future sound more entertaining then the current story. I want the story of the couples being established and that's why I like the earlier books way better.
Zara and Finley are like a lock and key they fit together beautifully. Moxie has combined both cultures seamlessly. Amazing read can't wait for the next one.
