Violet was a 22-year old virgin lusting after her dad’s best friend. Cole, for his part, had started to lust after her as well, but was trying to curb the temptation. He was hoping to not actually betray his best friend’s trust. But the chemistry between him and Violet proved hard to resist. So Cole was dealing with one part satisfaction and one part guilt. And Violet was swimming in the pleasure of Cole’s attentions.

This story was okay. I didn’t hate it but I wasn’t doing cartwheels while reading it either. To be honest, when I see a title like Dad’s Best Friend, I expect something smutty. Steamy even. But this book tried to be more about the plot than the actual connection between the characters. The chemistry was pretty tame and I wasn’t really feeling it. As this is the first book I’ve read from Amy Brent, it was an alright introduction. I’m hoping that this isn’t the norm as I plan to try another one of her books in the future.

I really enjoyed this taboo romance by Amy Brent. The storyline was well written and thought out and flowed very easily from chapter to chapter. The characters were extremely likable and I felt like could easily relate to them. The story revolves around Cole, a billionaire businessman who gets involved with an intern at his company, Violet, who is 20 years his junior and also happens to be his best friend's daughter. The plot includes some very sexy moments, a bit of drama and lies and a twist that will change the dynamics of a relationship. Overall, this is an excellent standalone that does end in a HEA. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is one of the best older man, young girl/virgin I've read this year.
Violet have been in love with Cole sins she was fifteen, and what startet as teenage infatuation soon turned in to real love.
Cole only has his company to live for, after his divorce from a woman he never really loved, he turned his life into sex and alcohol, but the only thing that got him going was his company, until he sees Violet again as a twenty too year old woman. That is when he realise he is in a lot of trouble, especially when her mother guilds him in to giv Violet an internship at his company, were he makes her his personal assistant.
That's were the book evolves into all the things that makes it such a pleasure to read. All the doubts and guilt Cole is going through and despite that he can't help fall in love with Violet. All the problems they are going through, from her family to blackmail, to "normal" couple stuff when you get to know each other.
It was a real pleasure to read, and I can't recommend it enough.
I received this book as an arc and i am giving my honest review voluntarily.

Idk how I feel about this. The girl is 22 and doesn't realize that if you have sex without birth control you can get pregnant. She lied about being on the pill because she didn't think it "could happen so fast"

Wtf?

Another book that I devoured in one sitting.
This taboo forbidden romance between older man and a virgin with an office romance vibe in it, got me hooked from the beginning.
I feel the angst, the frustration, and keep wondering how will they make it. Yes, all those things make me can't put this book down.
And don't forget all those hotness that got me hot and bothered.
I got all the feelings, the hotness and drama, so yeah I love this one.

As for the characters. I loveee Cole, he's a dominant, always in control, and I admire how he holds himself against the temptation, although I wanted to smack him for the things he did.
And for Violet, she might be a virgin, but she's a seductress, her determination to get what she wants by doing anything she can is admirable.
I love these two as a couple, their banters so refreshing, it's not just love and rainbow, there's anger too.

If you're looking for something forbidden, something taboo, something hot with a lot of drama, you need to read this book.

This was my first time reading Amy Brent. I found the book to be fast paced and the characters were interesting. I liked Cole, the usual cocky, no nonsense billionaire and Violet, the young, not so innocent intern who knows exactly what she wants and goes for it (she does cry a lot though!). I won't give any spoilers but will say it was a bit predictable, I guessed where it was going in the first few chapters but still, not too bad for a quick read.

Sometimes I need to read a short sexy read to jump start me into a new book and this one fit the bill. This was a nice read and even though the storyline has been done before it was written well and held my attention.

I really enjoyed this book it kept you on the edge of your seat, it was funny, sad, some times a little frustrated but over all I couldn't put it down, Violet has been in love with her fathers best friend since she was 15 and on her 18th birthday Cole gave her 10 thousand dollars and a kiss on the cheek and whispered in her ear don't spend it all at once after that he was the only man she wanted, now at 22 she had to find a way to get close to him so she asked her parents if they would ask him if she could intern at his company for work experience and it worked Cole took her on as his personnel assistant which was perfect, as soon he said yes Cole new he was in trouble he was already attracted to her but it couldn't go anywhere but Violet had other plans and slowly Cole resolve was starting to weaken. Will they get together and will they have a happy ending read this book to find out you will love it. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book for an honest review. Thanks karen N

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Cole has built himself up from scratch. A billionaire now, but not a happy man. He accepts an invitation to his best friend's house. Showing up at this party hosted by his best friend's wife isn't what Cole wants to do but does it anyway. He also just spotted the blonde that has her back to him, the one with the very gorgeous shaped body and legs that turn him on. When she turns around Cole knows this can and will be trouble.

Violet is all grown up and wanting to prove to her parents and the one man her heart has lusted after for all these years just how grown up she is. It surprises her that he is coming to the party, he normally never does. So she is wearing a beautiful dress and she is ready to put her plan to win him over to work. She knows when he spots her, she is there when her parents talk him into letting her intern at his company. Falling into place!

Violet shows up on her first day of work, only to find out she is now to be Cole's personal assistant. That is fine with her, not only does she do a very very good job of that, she does an excellent job of preventing Cole from thinking about anything else. Forbidden fruit. But Violet is headstrong and is going after what she wants. Cole can't hide his attraction anymore either. There is a rule in his company of no relationships. But hey, rules are made to be broken.

Getting past his divorce that leaves Cole bitter and angry seems to be what has driven him more. The thing about what he starts feeling for Violet is more than he has ever felt. Then there is the after hours on a friday night in the office, Cole and Violet stop fighting the chemistry and give in. Right after he turns cold and distant again, sending her away. Later in the shower he notices something, he is her first. Now guilt really is eating away at him. He has been with his best friend's daughter, and took her virginity.

That one taste, now neither can get enough. Some changes to plans start with someone who shouldn't know finds out and tries to push for money to keep quiet about the relationship. Still not able to keep themselves apart. There seems to be a slight medical issue that appears too. This may break these two apart forever, it comes close, but they both start to see things differently, start facing their emotions. Then another bomb is dropped and once again it tests the resolve of this relationship.

Little by little these small bombs that seem to be rocking the very core these two have are overcome. Broken and bitter hearts mended, anger and happiness along with fear, a falling out, things being said out of anger and distrust. All are about to cause stress but really only strengthen Cole and Violet's very very happy ending.

A forbidden love between an older man and younger woman, who happens to be a virgin. It's forbidden/taboo for a couple reasons.. one being the fact that he is best friends with her father. Another being that he is her boss. Finally because of their 20ish year age gap. She has had a crush on him since she was 15. He went through a messy divorce and vowed to never let himself fall for another woman ever again. You can guess what happens. I liked the fact that he really did try to refuse her many advances because of how 'wrong' it all was, but he finally succumbed. Although he had slept with many women since his divorce (all non emotional,) he had an innocence about him. And while she was an 'innocent,' she seemed to have the mentally of a seasoned pro. (Though she did have a naivety about her.) I did have some issues with her character. SPOILER ALERT: She was supposedly a smart girl, yet she never thought or believed she could get pregnant (without using any form of birth control.) She told him she was on the pill, but was in fact, not.) She kept telling her parents that she was not a child anymore, yet did things like that to make her seem like she was younger or more immature than she was supposed to be. Another thing I had an issue with was that he'd done one thing that was asshole'ish, and she broke down, but she had lied to him a few times (and in a major way) and didn't understand why he'd be upset. He had way less to apologize for, but was made out to be the bad guy. But what made me love him more, was that he accepted that.

Other than those negatives, I enjoyed the book/story. There were a variety of characters, both to love and hate. It was easy to read and swapped between the two POVs. The book ends at about 30% (or there abouts) as there are a few bonus books included, so that's a big plus. :) There were a few minor editing/grammatical errors throughout. They didn't take away from the story, but just a warning, in case that kind of thing annoys you. The sex scenes are fairly mild, but would still recommend this for 18+.

Dad’s Best Friend is a Romance Novel written by Amy Brent.

Violet Summers wants Cole Crayton. The problem? He’s her father’s best friend and twenty years older than she is. Cole Crayton wants Violet Summers. The problem? She’s his best friends little girl and that means she is off limits. However, when Violet starts working at Crayton Inc. as Cole’s new personal assistant will Cole do everything within his power to keep her at arms length or will he give in to desires that he knows they both desperately want?

My favorite character was Violet. She grew up in a wealthy family from the Hamptons who only cared about keeping up a certain image. There wasn’t much love from her parents and they were anything but close. Violet was nothing like them though. She cared about others and wanted nothing more than to have her own life. Even though she fell for the wrong man in everyone else’s eyes, she knew in her heart that he was the right man for her. He was the only one that she would ever want and she fought for him every single step of the way. Her courage and determination allowed her to stand up for herself even when it seemed like there was no hope left.

My favorite part of the book was the ending. It put such a huge smile on my face. I am such a sucker for Happily Ever Afters.

Fast-paced and easy to read, Dad’s Best Friend will have you hooked from page one. Chapter after chapter you will not be able to put this book down. I know that I couldn’t. From the first kiss to the more steamier scenes through the heart wrenching cries waiting for their love story to unfold and find out what is going to happen next, this is one billionaire virgin romance novel that you will want to read again and again.

I want one of those! Whyyy ohh whyy is that none of my father's friends are like Cole Crayton!!!

This is an awesome sexyyyy story. It has the office romance, the older guy/younger woman and the dad's friend. Extremely well written and most important of all you will have a blast reading it!

Violet Summers had had a crush with her father best friend since she was 15 years old. Now with the help of her mother she got an intership at Crayton Inc. the company of Cole Crayton aka dad's best friend. She is going to show him that she is more than the little Violet daughter of his friend.

Cole Crayton is a divorcee that is all work and maybe sometimes relax in a woman body. His last relationship make him a little bitter, finding that all your wife wanted was your money can make you feel that way. He is the CEO of Crayton Inc. a company that he made by himself and made him a billionaire. He doesn't have a family, just Alan Summers his best friend. Now Gloria, Alan's wife is asking for an intership for their daughter. He do not want to give in, he had seen Violet and she is not a little girl anymore, she is temptation incarnate and he need to stay away from her. But what can he do when Alan and Gloria ask for the intership than accept.

Cole really try to stay away but Violet is too much of a temptation. They start getting to know each other, care about each other and getting hot and heavy at her apartment and sometimes at the office. Till they got caught... can they work this out? Is it too late? Or the unexpected news will break them?

There are several other included books. One of them "Fake Fiance" was never published and I can see why. The male character was a big wimp, with a spine like a wet noodle. The story disgusted me and made me angry, and his child was a spoiled brat. The woman character was also unlikable and weak. There was no chemistry between them.🌟🌟

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Cole Crayton and Violet Summers. Cole has become a a bitter man since his divorce. He is a in and out kind of guy. However when he sees Violet at a party that he happens to come to at the Summers home he is blown away by how grown up she has become. Even though there is a part of him that wants to do all kinds of dirty things to her the other part keeps thinking about her father being his oldest and one of his only friends. Can he old it together or will this woman be his downfall?

Violet has wanted Cole since she turned 16. At first she thought it was a simple crush but as the years have gone by she knows that she wants him beyond understanding. The problem is getting close enough to him to have that one and done time. So when she gets an internship with him she knows this is her chance if only she can convince him. Can she get everything she wants and what will happen once she does?

This is a great book about getting what you want and finding out that you still crave more? There are many ups and downs in this book that I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Violet has had a crush on Cole for awhile and when she talked her dad into asking his best friend for an internship at his company she took the chance. Cole had never really thought of Violet as anything but his friend's daughter so imagine his surprise when after hiring Violet his learns of her feeling for him. He tries to fight it but he doesn't want to move her to another area of his company because he needs her to be close even if he can't act on anything. Violet can't take it anymore and forces this issue and they end up giving in to each other. Until Cole sends her out of the office alone so they aren't seen by the cleaning crew. Unable to stay away Cole starts seeing Violet secretly and everything seems to be going great until they slip up in the office one day and someone suspects there's something more between them. As if that's not bad enough Violet learns that the sickness she is having is Cole's baby. Will Cole and Violet survive the fallout if their secret comes out before they come clean? I loved this book I'm surprised my hands didn't get burned on my kindle from the heat between these characters. I even bought a copy when it released. I would recommend this to anyone that loves to lose themselves in an amazing love story.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! Another great book about an older man and younger woman from Ms Brent. This time the best friend aspect is between Violet's dad, Alan and Cole. Violet has been lusting after Cole since she was 15 and at 18 she has decided Cole is the man for her after hearing Cole speaking dirty on a phone call to a woman. Violet is now 22 and has come up with a way to get Cole. She is going to work as his intern. Cole has been noticing Violet for some time and does not want to cross the line. He values his friendship with Alan and knows pursuing Violet would lead to no good. However, one Violet is working for him as his personal assistant making it clear she wants him, how much longer can Cole hold back? Once both give into their feelings for one another there is no turning back. They face a few hurdles along the way. From people at work who are starting to figure out what is going on to the fact that Violets mother hears about it through the grapevine and finally to the way each is not being upfront with one another at times. Through all of this the chemistry is hot and steamy between the two. This book was such a great read and I love the HEA!

Violet with her Dad's Best

This was about Violet a 20 something lady from a very well to do family who really wanted billionaire Cole since she was 15 years old.
Violet finally gets her father to ask Cole if he would let Violet become an intern in his business so she can get some experience.
Cole is best friends with Violet's dad and he agrees. After working together daily, Cole knows he is in forbidden territory as he realizes how
much he wants Violet even though she is more than 20 years his junior and Violet hasn't hidden her desire for Cole one bit.
There are a few kinks in them being together at the office and office policy is that there are to be no fraternization within the company.
Of course there is envy and complications at work, nevermind that Violet's parents would have a lot to say if they knew their friend was
compromising their daughter.
There were times I couldn't believe how immature Violet acted, then again, Cole had his moments too.
There is much more involved in this story, but you will have to read it for yourself and form your own opinion.
I will say, we do get a HEA in the end.

This is the first book by Amy  Brent that I have read and I got to say I liked it.  This was a pretty good story and it flowed effortlessly.  I am curious to see what else she has out and see if they are as good as this one.

In this book 22-year-old Violet has a secret crush on her dad's 42-year-old best friend Cole.  In an effort to get in his sights she begs her dad to ask Cole to hire her as an intern to gain work experience.  Her dad is not real happy with the idea, since he likes to keep a tight leash on her, but he relents and does it. Cole is not happy either, but will do it for her father.  The problem is he can't stop thinking about her and her luscious curves.  What will he do and how will he survive working so closely with her?

This book had a good storyline with a few twists here and there.  The characters were developed and engaging.  I love virgin vs CEO stories.  This one being about a friend of the virgins father made for a nice twist and was highly entertaining.  It was a pretty good page turner.  If you are looking for a hot and steamy read with a bit of a twist, then I suggest this book to you.

What an intense story-lots of firsts! Violet has lusted after a Cole since she was 15. Now 22, and interning for billionaire Cole’s company, Violet has the chance to get closer to Cole. At 44, Cole is far more experienced and mature than Violet. As an intern in his company, Violet sees her chance to ruthlessly pursue Cole. There is a lot of office tension and suspicion about what the CEO and intern are up to in the first part of the book. The second part of the book is how the couple are going to manage the big reveal of their relationship. Ms Brent takes her time showing all the feelings the couple go through this journey, and I felt like I was on their roller coaster of emotions. She did a great job of showing the wants of a 22 year old without the life experience to comprehend the reality, and did it in a way that made me feel for Violet. If you like older men, younger women stories, this was well done.

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

So where do I start? The beginning of this the book was kind of slow for me. But more important violet was working my nerves. I get that she has been harboring these feelings for Cole since she was 15 but way to throw caution to the wind and not care about anything but what you want. Cole wanted Violet but he didn't want to lose his best friend. He's still fighting with his ex wife. He is still very bitter.

After Cole finally bit into the forbidden fruit things picked up. He still fought a major war within himself. They had a chemistry. He was the boss and she is trusty intern 😳. Secrets were kept. A MAJOR lie was told. And then BOOM....HUGE complication.

The story did pick up and I enjoyed it (hence ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). Over all it was decent story. There were some errors. Couldn't stand her mama. And Violent finally put on her big girl panties.
Would I read it again, maybe. Would I recommend to a friend, definitely.

If you love sexy romances with an older billionaire and a young virgin; you're going to love "Dad's Best Friend"!! I absolutely loved it from beginning to end; I couldn't put it down for a minute. Violet been pinning for Cole since she was a teenager, now she gets the chance to work for him as his personal assistant and in the process get close to
him. Cole does a double take when she sees Violet again; she has grown into a woman with curves at the right places. He knows he shouldn't look at her that way nonetheless fantasize about the things he wishes to do to her. She has mission and he's resisting to give into temptation and then the unexpected happens that complicate things even further. Will they get their happy ending or will the age gap enough to bring them apart? I guess you're going to have to read to find out. I received an ARC for my honest review.

Just like death, love doesn't wait on anyone

So this story is not at all morbid, but at some point in our lives we have either been blindsided by love or known someone who has. Violet felt that same way about Cole. She did everything she could to get him, and once she had him, it was a hard and painful process to a at a part of his life. I liked how they didn't ultimately care what the rest of the world thought. You need to love the one who makes you happy. The one who is easy to be around. The one who cares for you regardless of your shortcomings. Violet and Cole found that love. The only thing that bugged me, and not to lose a star over, was the fact that a healthcare professional didn't keep Violet's information private. I would have been livid! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book, but I also borrowed it from the Kindle Unlimited program.

A great read about an older man, Cole, who happens to be lusting after his best friend's younger daughter, Violet. He tries to deny and shut her down but Violet is persistent and doesn't let up which finally leads to their taboo relationship. Not only is she younger and his best friend's daughter, she is interning at his company and is his PA.
A great read with steamy scenes and I was surprised (pleasantly) when she delivers him some life altering news, he didn't react how I expected even if it was a bit harsh, it felt genuine and honest. Violet was young and a bit naive when it comes to life and when he didn't react how she wanted I did feel a bit sorry and was hoping that everything would work out for her. I was finally happy when she stood up to her mom and also happy when her dad did something that I did not expect.

I really wanted to enjoy this book. It just 100% rubbed me the wrong way. To be honest it felt like the heroine cornered the hero into sleeping with her and it felt cheap. Not very romantic or as if they cared for each other. I get that she wanted to get the hero to realize she wanted him too but it felt weird to see her basically throw herself at him low key like a prosititute. Don’t even get me started on the pregnancy! She said that she loved him so much she FORGOT about mentioning she wasn’t on the pill! Ar you actually serious! Now why would the hero come groveling back? Beats me. If that wasn’t a reason to run I don’t know what is. To continue I wished that the characters developed a bit more but it’s a shame I could know her well enough to know why she was crazy! Okay read just a few character issues.

What happens when you find yourself falling for your best friend’s daughter? Well, for 44 year old Cole Crayton, CEO and former womanizer, that exact predicament happens when he finds his best friend Alan’s daughter, Violet, at a party.

Violet had always been attracted to older man Cole. When an internship at Cole’s company is presented to her, Violet immediately jumps at the chance to be near her crush day in and day out.

From the first moment these two laid eyes on each other, I could see the sparks flying between them immediately. This older man/younger woman novel will keep you riveted as you turn each page to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book. Violet never could get Cole ( her dad's best friend) out of her head. Now spending time with Cole, now that she is his personal assistant, has made Violet want him more. Cole can't stop thinking about Violet but knows it's wrong. When they both give in, there is no way now that they can stop. But what will happen when the secret is out? Cole at times drove me insane how he treated Violet. But what Violet did could be unforgivable. When Cole & Violet is together there chemistry is off the charts but when they are apart, you can feel what they are going through. Great read and enjoyable characters.

Violet's childhood crush on Cole, her dad's best friend, finally has a chance to become a reality. She takes an internship at Cole's company, but Cole is aware of the potential difficulties they face if he were to give in to his desires. He knows Violet's ready and wanting to start something, and the sexual attraction between them continues to ratchet up, until they can't hold back anymore. Cole is sexy, sweet and oh so hot. Violet is a bit of a brat, but she's trying to make Cole see that what they have is real. I loved the way they faced the challenges!
