Every chapter of this book had a new twist. I finished reading in one day. The entire series is well written, captures your interest and you become part of the story, the characters become known to you, they are your friends, your enemies. Highly recommend this series!
I think there is one more to this series, if not this ended oddly! So I do hope there is another. This is another of those books where there is so much time between books that the average person starts to forget who the characters are! Usually there is some kind of cue as to what will happen in the last book but this time I haven't a clue. The principle characters are on an island off the coast of Ireland with more of there group en route by boat to join up with them, just as the earths temperatures are plummenting to minus zero conditions, they had planned on leaving the island to somewhere in the US or near there but everything is happening faster than the experts expected. There will most likely be less than 50 people left to survive 2 or 3 years on the island and not even that if the boat doesn't arrive with it's much needed supplies. I hope the final book arrives soon too!
David, Sarah, John, Shivvy, Ciara, Mike, Aideen, Sophia and Maggie end up on a very remote Irish Island as a horrible new ice age begins. Fiona and Tara are both brought there, too. They are supposed to fly to the US, but the storm hits and they can’t. Meanwhile, the rest of the village have hunkered down in the IRA tunnel. Will David’s crew rescue them? There are a lot of things happening in this one. It’s much better than the 9th.
I thought it was good, not great. Interesting to see where the next book is going to go and I have to read it because it just ends with a big cliffhanger. I'm not impressed that I had to buy the book twice, once via iTunes and then via Amazon just to finally be able to read it.
Another five star rating for this book. I started reading and was drawn in further and further. Lots of action. The scary part--this could happen in our future.
Another absolutely heart pounding adventure. It's hard to say too much without giving it away, but this series is a must read. I am once again left hoping the next book will come out very soon. I feel as though I know the characters at this point, and I need to check on them.
