Sweet Town #20

Empty Arms

Rate this book
A year after marrying the town doctor, Lakota midwife Mika is expecting a child of her own, but memories of the unborn child she lost with her first husband still haunt her. Motherhood is never easy on the frontier and she knows that better than most. When tragedy rocks half the community, Mika must heal souls as well as bodies and try to open her husband's eyes to what a western woman faces before it's too late.

This short novella revisits the characters from Doctor's Midwife, Preacher's Wife, Bride's Price, Teacher's Pet, and Blacksmith's Christmas Bride, their lives intertwined in the stories of their community.

Historical romance comes alive in quiet Sweet Town. Established in the Dakota Gold Rush of the 1870s, Sweet Town is surrounded by gentle hills and fields of clover. It's a place where anyone can start over and romance and redemption are never out of reach.

Sweet Town romances tell the stories of the community as its members fall in love. These clean western stories follow residents of Sweet Town from mail order brides to a cowboy with a dark past. Anyone might find a miracle when they open their heart.

Follow the Sweet Town Clean Historical Western Romance series in this reading order. Each book can be read as a standalone novel, though the unfolding story of the community is better appreciated in order!

It's unfinished

As like many of the books in this series this was a good read but had no ending surprisingly and abruptly stopped. And then gives you the beginning of the first book in the series. I can only guess as I said in a previous review it's unfinished and in order to get an ending we have to read all books.
Well I'm off to do just that , let's see what happens.
