Exciting, nerve racking, and powerful
The story continues and the plot of Kelly and Kendra grows darker and deeper into secrets and lies. This second story was more focused on Kelly and Kendra becoming more involved, but only because Madam allowed it, and Madam does nothing that doesn't serve her purpose.
There are so many ups and downs, twists and turns, and even more sit on the edge episodes. Kelly has secrets and demons from his past that are partially revealed as well as Kendra's own family secrets. These things make them more real to each other, but Madam is still playing them against each other and it seems impossible for them to ever have a life of their own together.
The ending is powerful and shocking and I'm on pins and needles to see what happens next. I love Kelly and kendra together but will Madam destroy them, or will they do it on their own?

Liked this a bit better than the first one, but the story is dragging to much and all over the place for me I will read the next one to find out how it will end.

Left hanging
This series is amazing, I LOVE it. Kendra and Kelly are HOT together but, have so many entities pulling them apart; finally they get it together, or do they?? It seems as though Madame has dirt on everyone including the DA. What is she playing at, how many will she take down to get where she wants to go? She has a lot on Kelly,she is setting Kendra up by making her do delivers. I also think Madame is the reason Kendra's rapist is in town, she is trying to make Kendra breakdown either to discredit her or to create a split between her and Kelly. There is so very much going on with both Kelly and Kendra something is bound to happen to one or both of them. The sex is HOT,and sexy. The story line is very exciting. Though will admit, pissed of because left with a HUGE cliff hanger, pissed off because now I have to wait for Black Obsession, which is NOT out yet. C.J. Thomas, please please hurry up with book three! I do highly recommend this series, it is awesome.

A Lot Of Pages Short On Story
When Kendra was showering in Kelly’s shower and having second thought (as usual) about being with Kelly the author wrote that Kendra didn’t want to lose the luxury (of what Kelly Black could give her) and THEN she wrote that Kendra didn’t want to lose him. I think that about summed up Kendra in my mind. It also gave me more reasons not to like her. I believe that Alex having Nash is something that Kendra is jealous of, which is why she is always making questionable comments to Alex about Nash. Let’s face it, Alex isn’t full of self esteem and Kendra plays on that. Although I don’t think think Kendra has much self esteem either...all of her bravado is how she covers it. The only truly honest dialogue that came from her mouth was when she slut shamed herself.
Don’t get me started in on the Uber driver, the tanzanite earrings or Giselle. I might as well get everything off my chest..who sits on their tail bone? Try it...if you have a butt it’s not possible..also Kelly always has a “stone in his throat”. They both have waaaay too many secrets so now poor Alex has to give up her time to spy on him. There’s no need for 7 books.

The sage of Kendra and Kelly Black continues and is just as much as the original book in the series Black Desire.
Again, the reader should be forewarned that this is the second in a six book series. In addition, this book and its subject matter involves Mature Audience content such as prostitution, rape, bondage, etc.
Although, this is somewhat of a romance novel, the main characters are so flawed that inevitably there is deception, mistrusted and manipulation that tends to doom any possibly of a true happily ever after, but a girl can hope.
I am somewhat disappointed with the cliffhanger with this installment and I was not initially aware there are six books in this series. The author appears to feel as though she needs to rush to a semi-conclusion in order to wrap this book and began the next book in the installment series. Nevertheless, I am totally invested in the characters and ultimately the series and the next book in the installment Black Obsession.

So we learn a little more about Kendra and Kelly as individuals in this book. Their relationship changes, but only due to outside influences. Of course the Madam still has her hands in everyones affairs, pulling her strings on her little marionettes. I seriously wish someone would just strangle her. Since these books tend to be HEA's...we can safely assume that Kelly and Kendra will eventually get their happy ending with one another, but I gotta say...with these two I almost want the ending to turn out differently.

Book 2 in this series will keep you turning pages. It is full of surprises, suspense, drama, twist, turns, blackmail, and steamy sex. Kendra & Kelly both have secrets that don't want the other to know about. The Madam is trouble for both of them and is a big part of their problem. Will all the secrets be the end of them? And OMG the way the book ends!!!!! what a way to leave us hanging CJ.... So glad I started this series after book 3 was released☺
This series is worth reading.

I just can’t seem to get to grips with it
I can’t figure out the time line, Kelly has hired Kendra for a month we are already at book two and so much has happened the timeline doesn’t seem to add up. There is too much back and forth with Madam and Kelly and Kendra and the elusive Nash.
I feel it doesn’t flow very well and I can’t seem to invest in the characters it has alot of filler spread over too many books, I think I’ll leave it at book two and cut my losses.
And why do most of the characters names begin with K? It’s not keeping up with the Kardashian’s 😶

Black Demands by C.J. Thomas is book #2 in the A Kelly Black Affair. This is a well written book with an interesting storyline and complex characters. dramatic read is full of tense emotional drama. The passion and chemistry between the characters is hot and sizzling. Full of twists, turns and painful secrets the book grabs and keeps your interest. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Kelly and Kendra are two people hiding so much pain in their lives that it's tainting everything in their relationship. Too many secrets, manipulations by outside influences and triggers from past experiences are undermining them. Add to the mix, the overbearing and secretive Madam, a gruesome murder case, a zealous DA, and you got more questions than answers.

Couldn’t put it down!!
Black Demands picks up right where Black Desire left off. Everyone is hiding something, and everyone is playing their own game. In book two secrets will be revealed and even more will be left in the air. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading, and can’t wait for the next book to come out!!

Omg
Oh my you can't leave it like that, all started going well and then this omg, what with Kendra's uncle turning up, I wonder whether madam had anything to do with that? Kelly's visit from Kaycee, these put obstacles in the way for Kelly and Kendra's relationship let's hope this gets sorted.

Way tooo many different paths
It’s a hell of a story. I love it. Don’t get me wrong. It’s just that when I’m into it I’ll finish it but this time. It took me almost 3 weeks to finish. Waugh to many carácters and diff plots to follow. I’m not

Loved it
Loved this story can’t get enough of Kendra and Kelly. The story continues of Kelly and the murder case. Makes you wonder what the Madam is up to. Some secrets are revealed but can’t wait for the next book..
