Certainly "thrilled" me...
I've page turned my way through thrillers, I've swooned over erotic romances, I've bitten my nails through mysteries, and I've lost time and tide in many a archaeological adventure...but never have I done all of the above in the same amazingly addictive book!!
I've been reading, and loving, everything that Ashton Blackthorne has written since the beginning. But, in this, his latest work, I feel as though this gifted story teller has finally found his niche. I have never been so impressed, or enthralled, in witnessing the evolution of a writer, as I have with Mr. Blackthorne and his novels.
Whether you're a fan of romance, fantasy, erotica, mysteries, or thrillers, you will not be disappointed with this story. And that is all I'm saying, for fear of giving away even the slightest bit of this exciting and thoroughly enthralling story.

Re-read this book to prepare for the release of book 2 Fury ( Releases January 30th) Obsessed is beyond phenomenal. This book will blow you away from the beginning to the end. Once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. You think you have the book figured out and then another twist is thrown in to keep you on the edge of your seat. The author has wrote this book so good you feel like you are one of the characters in the book. If you want a fantastic book to read Obsessed by Ashton Blackthorne is your book.

My thumbs were pricking and something wicked, very wicked happens in this novel. I was not expecting this plot but it was very, very good. The interplay between the novel Jax is writing and the novel you are reading is cleverly done. There is some erotica in the book but not as much as you would expect from this author, again a reflection of the novel being written by Jax. There are twists at every turn and just when you think you have it figured out, there is another turn in the road. One puzzle is left unsolved, the Egyptian pin puzzle, hopefully it will be revealed in the second book of the duet. I look forward to reading it with baited breath.

Just wow! Obsessed was quite the read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and had a hard time tearing myself away from it. It captivated me from the beginning and had my heart pounding throughout.
I really enjoyed the character Jax, and have the utmost respect for authors trying to accomplish a goal; like Jax trying to hit #1. I felt Jax had a lot of depth and that Ashton Blackthorne had developed Jax well. The plot was fascinating, fast-paced and definitely a thriller. There were times when I wanted to read through spread fingers...kind of like when you cover your eyes while watching a scary movie.
Ashton Blackthorne brilliantly crafted a clever, heart-pounding thriller!

Wow. I Must say I really don't know what to say. This is a book that you have to read for yourself. I don't post spoilers and right now I want to. I was left with that OMGoddess Wow feeling. The writing and flow of this book is done wonderfully. This book left me wanting more. Highly recommend this book

WOW that is all I can say. I just finished reading Obsessed and I am stunned. It was such a great read when it says an erotic thriller it means an erotic thriller. I was riveted to this book once I picked it up last night. I was sad to put it down when I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer last night. I can't wait for the next book in this duet. You will be so enamored in this thrilling vibrant read. The story plot will have you guessing the entire time. This is the first time I am reviewing for Ashton Blackthorne and I hope I get to many more times. His books are off the charts hot and he is a literary genius. You have to read this book Obsessed will be a classic and a number 1 before it is even out. Yes it is that good folks go buy this one now.

This book has blown me away. It's dark, sexy, chilling and over all amazing. I love the way Mr. Blackthorne took us on this journey of an erotic romance writer who leans towards the dark side. Follow Jax Paulsons journey with the love of his life Brooke and stalker Sarah! This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails and gasping! The sex is as panty melting as we expect from Mr B. This has definitely become my favorite book so far. I love that he has taken us to the darker side! You DO NOT want to miss this spine chilling tale! ☆☆5 stars ☆☆

Mr Blackthorne has took his writing to a whole new level. Obsessed has touches of dark, erotic, and even some mystery, that locks you in and won't let go. I have read all of his books and he never disappoints. He hooks you and takes you for a ride you will never forget. This is a MUST read!! I can not wait for the next book to see what new twists and turns he sends our way next.

Obsessed by Ashton Blackthorne
Holy sh***! This book was amazing and I must say you will have a love hate relationship when you read it. To help explain my statement I love the fact that this book was written with one of my favorite authors and had me looking forward to eroticism we have grown to love from Mr. B. On the flip side this book was very dark without the sexiness we have grown to love and left me a little shell shocked. Don’t get me wrong the book is perfectly orchestrated with many facets that will leave you scratching your head and second guessing at every turn.
Jax Paulson is an ex-Marine who was severely injured in the line of duty. His health issues caused issues with his relationship with Brooke but helped him to become a romance author. We meet Jax when he is little and is traveling the world with his parents who are archeologist. The first chapter gives a glimpse into his childhood when his parents find a mummy in a newly discovered tomb life as Jax knows it changes. (hahaha not going to explain this you are just going to have to read to find out)
Met Sarah, Jax number one fan. She was supposed to be a one night stand to help him get rid of his writer’s block and push him to his goal of ultimate success. It was one wild, dark stormy night when these two met and the attraction was instant. What could possibly go wrong……….right?
As you navigate through the chapters and the plot thickens you will find yourself reading with an intensity you didn’t think possible. The twists, turns and confusion come to mind as I recall the book. I honestly can’t tell you what was going on (because it will ruin the book) since I’m not crystal clear myself on all the aspects. Although I do have some thoughts.
From the very first chapter there has been a nagging question on my mind that doesn’t get answered in this book. The book ends in a perfect spot with closure on the events that happened (for the most part) however there are still a few things left up in the air. I can only sit back and wait for the follow up to this book.
If you are a fan of Ashton Blackthorne you must read his latest creation. The suspense will be leaving you wanting more and will leave you scratching your head. Oh, and did I mention the creepy vibe I got from reading this……..it left me sitting on the edge of my seat…but then again I like this type of thing.

Once again, Ashton Blackthorne has written a masterpiece. Obsessed was an erotic thriller, and it will knock your socks off. It's darkly disturbing and will draw you right into the story. When an obsessed stalker situation spirals out of control and follows writer Jax Paulson to extremes, it will take everything Jax has to keep him and Brooke safe.
This book made me think of the movie "Misery" which had a few similarities, and this intense nail biter kept me on edge throughout the whole story. It wasn't as erotic as Mr. Blackthorne's other works, but the mystery and the plot were equally engaging and enthralling!
This is a must read, and I'm excited at the prospect of a sequel to Obsessed!

Obsessed is a bit darker than Ashton Blackthorne's earlier books. More horror than hot scenes. The writing continues to improve for every book and the flow as well.

A Haunting, Spine Tingling Thriller!!!
Obsessed is a very big departure for Ashton Blackthorne who we have come to know and love for his dark and erotic romance novels. This book however, is a straight up suspenseful thriller. Nothing erotic about it. A few sexy scenes...yes and they are hot but certainly not the focal point of the story. The genre of the book might be different than usual but Blackthorne is the same fearless author he has always been. He is extremely imaginative, a master wordsmith and an exciting storyteller. The writing style of this book reminded me of Kurt Vonnegut in some ways which is obviously a huge compliment to Blackthorne.
To describe the plot would not do it justice so I wouldn’t dare. I will say this, you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time. Probably get the goosebumps and even a bit creeped out. There are many layers to this story. Just when you think you’re sure of what is going on, you’re dropped back down the rabbit hole. The book is haunting to say the least. By the end of the book, both the protagonist and the reader are asking themself the age old question is art is imitating life or vice versa?

As always another amazing book from Ashton. But I can say this one was not what I was thinking it was going to be by any means. I didn't hear much about this book before getting the chance to read an ARC of it. I was thrown for a loop. But it was a good loop. I absolutely loved this book. It was a dark thriller that has you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what is going to happen next. It was gripping from the very beginning to the very end. I loved how twisted and dark this book was. Jax is a writer who is trying to finish a book. Sarah was hired to stalk him to get his books sold better. But that stalking gets out of control. That is what makes this book so interesting. Everything that Sarah does builds and builds and makes the twists and turns in this story even better. I loved how you never would have expected the things that happened. Just another amazing well written story. I cant wait until the next one comes out to see what else can happen. Highly recommend of course.

The idea of this book was awesome. I love stalkers in romance novels and this was more thriller then romance. I really wanted to love it but the dialogue felt forced to me. It didn’t flow like I hope it would. Because of that, I had a really hard time connecting with the characters. This was my first book by this author and I’m not sure if I will read more. I don’t think the writing style meshed with me. 3 stars because even though it didn’t mesh with me; the plot was unique and had me having to finish because I needed to know what would happen. #2OCCJD

Obsessed is one way to put it as that is what I quickly became while reading Ashton Blackthorne's latest erotic thriller. Don't even try to figure out the plot on this one as you won't be able to do it, it is that well written. Mr. Blackthorne did an amazing job keeping you guessing at every corner as he takes you down the dark path of an erotic romance author. The premise of this story is very unique, there were no dull moments as the plot keeps you constantly on the edge of your seat. The characters are intriguing and well-developed and were written in such a way that that you couldn't help but feel for what they were going through. There is just one unsolved mystery about an ancient artifact that will leave you with questions but as this is a duet series, hopefully the questions will get answered in the next book. I loved every moment of this book and highly recommend it to all. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

When Jax feels like things are getting dangerous he starts to look into things himself and what he finds out scares even him.

I can describe this book in one simple word, riveting. Ashton Blackthorne is like no other author out there and that is an amazing thing. The writing in this book was so intense, enthralling, and mesmerizing. The first scene in this book captured me and would not let me go. As you start to read this book you realize that there are so many unexpected surprises, when you think you know everything you realize you just might not know anything. This book has moved Ashton to one of my top favorite authors; dark, seriously erotic and sexy, with suspense that leaves you at the edge. Thank you for letting me read this and write a honest review.

WOW!!! What an intense dark and twisted story that will have you on the edge of your seat trying to guess the next move but you won't.The plot and the characters are so well written a story within a story, it draws you in unable to put this down. We follow Jax in his journey as a writer with the love of his life Brooke and then we have a delusional stalker gone wrong Sarah who is super intense.So many dark twists and turns. Ashton Blackthorne knocked it out of the park with this one and I cannot wait for more.

I received this ARC for an honest review, I didn't know how to start this review without giving any spoilers away. This book was a dark thriller from the beginning with some hot sex added to the mix. At times I didn't know what was real or fiction. The characters of Chelsa/Sarah and Jax was intense and thrilling to see how far this was going to end . It was not a typical Ashton Blackthorne book. This book is a must read if you are a fan of Mr. Blackthorne. Can't wait for the second book.

This was an amazing book! I was at the edge of my seat through the entire thing. I just about figured out some of the plot and then a bomb got dropped and threw me right off! I 100% recommend this amazing book! I absolutely love the writing style of AB and the character choices he makes. You will not be disappointed with this book!!!!

Holy flipping balls!!!! This book blew my mind and I loved every minute of it! This kept me rooted to my seat and I did not put my kindle down until I had finished it.
The twists and turns had me gasping for breath and I loved the 'book within a book' as we follow Jax struggle to get his latest book ready to publish.
This was so much darker than I expected and I know Mr Blackthorne has written dark before but he has knocked it out the park with this one! Cannot wait for the next one.

This was so much darker than I expected and I know Mr Blackthorne has written dark before but he has knocked it out the park with this one! Cannot wait for the next one.
