Outstanding. Wish I could give it 10 Stars
This is outstanding. It's got snark, funny dialogue which I love! The scene where Maddie goes to the gym looking for the BD office and confront Dick about his name was so funny I almost couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard. This has a wonderful story that will keep you glued to the pages and wish that you never get to the last page. Yes, it is insta love. If you don't like it--too bad, you're missing out on a great story! Already pre-ordered Book 2.

This was my first Willow Summers book, and when I pulled it out of my TBR Jar, I had no idea what to expect. I started this thinking, will I like it? Will I get used to the writing style? Am I being weird because I haven't read this author before?
But it wasn't long before all that was behind me and I was determined to find out what would happen next. Colton and Madison are one of those insta type couples, but they're really sweet together and it's written in such a way that it works really well.
Add in both Colton's friends, and Madison's friend Janie, and there are some serious laughs in this. Along with the set up for the next book, which let me tell you, I REALLY want to read.
This one was a fairly fast read, and definitely lots fun. It deals with serious issues at the same time though. Hiding things from ones family, abusive relationships (may be a trigger warning for some), and honestly just making ones way through life and finding their place.
Overall though, the book is written in such a way that all of these things are dealt with well, and its a nice and easy read. I look forward to eventually getting to the rest of the series!

Thunder God
I’ve read a couple of series by this author and found some fantastic and some not so. This is lacking with shallow stereotyping and not enough substance despite addressing some serious social issues. DNF.

I'm crying. Tears are pouring down my face. I've laughed so hard my sides hurt. Even without the fantastic story going on behind the humor, I would have loved this irreverent, geeky book. This is my kind of funny; these are my kind of people. I wish I knew them in real life. Madison is a driven, opinionated woman who survived an awful adolescence. She badly wants to show the high school boyfriend who crushed her heart that she made something fantastic out of her life. She's a lot more complex than those two statements would suggest, though. I can't sum Colton up as easily. Even though he has the job he does, he's so much more than that career. If I tried to explain everything I loved about him I would completely spoil the book. I adore these two together. I've lived so many of Maddie's insecurities that I understand her perspective well. Watching Colton twist himself up to be there for her, to look after her, and make everything work was a delight. Both for the awe-factor and the comedic gold it provided. The zany group of secondary characters nearly steal the show. Maddie's best friend and Colton's friends and family are larger than life, leaving us with a brilliant set up for the next book. One that can't wait to get my hands on. As a side challenge, play 'spot the movie references' with your book club. I dare you.

I picked this book up on a whim as I had nothing else to read and this was a freebie. To be honest, I had no intention of reviewing or even adding it on GR but it was such an unexpected surprise that I just had to! I was holding back my laughter within the first chapter and it didn't really abate. It was good fun and I'm quite looking forward to the next book in the series. If you're on the fence, don't judge it based on the title like I almost did as it'll appeal to lovers of RomCom.

Thunder is good for a giggle. The heroine's best friend (who is the star of the show by a long shot) and the hero's friends are full of banter and humour. Unfortunately, this does not make up for the extreme instalove, the fat jokes or the 2D heroine. And nothing can explain to me why you'd go to the wedding of an ex who, himself and his friends, had profoundly humiliated you. I mean, seriously. Why?? Send him a letter bomb, not an acceptance. Sadly, I was facepalming far more than I was laughing.

Going in I thought this would be erotica and shared this on Instagram since I don’t care what anyone thinks and to my beer friends to bookish friends just let’s say description on the cover. But this book is a simple romance maybe a tad fast on certain aspects but the book is lovely I loved and one of my more favs of the year. The guy besides being a “god” he is pretty good gentleman with his side kicks and one MC’s ex’s boy are they doosh canoes’s. 🛶 look forward to book 2

Madison’s a likable heroine with feelings from the past she can’t seem to forget...as they too seem to still be talking about in moments of cattiness that felt a bit over melodramatic. Madison’s quirky and very honest though in her words and deeds and her actions often made me smile. She never put on a facade, even when reuniting with her past. With her, what you see is what you get and it made me like her all the more. She’s a bit isolated though, stuck in a job she dislikes, with only one real friend. Being with Colton brings her out of her shell, introduces her to a sexy new group of friends who have her experiencing life to the fullest. From the moment I met her I was rooting for her every step of the way as she and Colton were a very dynamic duo.

She’s a good friend full of spunkiness and it was heartbreaking to see her at her lowest here. She’s tough though and being around Colton’s friends shows a woman quickly bouncing back to give as good as she gets. The other escorts get moments of their own in the spotlight to leave readers wanting more. They’re a tempting group, sexy and sweet, with backgrounds just hinted at that tempt me completely. Dave’s funny and good at mocking but deep down he has a heart of gold. The sparks between him and Janie are very clear and I’m greatly anticipating what comes next for the two of them. The beginning of the book was silly and sweet and sexy all at once, and I swiped left fast and furiously to see what adventure would be next. The book only spanned the course of a few days (I think), and I'm generally put off by insta-love, but it felt like Colton and Maddie had known one another forever, yet had that burning lust of a new couple. And the sex...WHEW MAMA the sex! Delicious and wall-banging and so, so good. I absolutely cannot wait for Blaze, the next book in this aptly named series. Well done Ms. Summers!

Thunder is book 1 in the Big D escort service series. Thunder AKA Colton is an escort, but he's burned out, tired of dealing with rich women. Just when he's on the verge of quitting an interesting request comes through for an escort that's not longer with the service. It has him curious enough to take on this one last client before he's officially done. Madison is successful, classy, but has bad luck in love. First her first love publicly dumps her humiliating her and now her current boyfriend ends things three weeks before an important wedding she needs to attend. When Frank dumps her, Madison doesn't care. The only part that bothers her is now she doesn't have a date for James' wedding and that just will not work. When her friend Janie suggests that she contact an escort service, she thinks that she's lost her mind. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
I absolutely loved this book. It was so much fun, I couldn't put it down. I started it last night at 11:30p thinking that I'd read a few pages and pick it up in the morning... well that didn't work out so well, at 4:30a after I dropped my ipad on my poor dogs head, since he was laying on the floor next to where I sleep I finally put it down and then finished the last few pages this morning. This book had me cracking up, the comedy, the chemistry between the characters, and don't worry there was plenty of hot/steamy scenes to keep you thoroughly entertained. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
I'm not gonna lie, it took a minute for me to get into the story, but once I did I could not put it down! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I can't wait to read the rest of the series. The first few chapters felt a big bogged down or too slow in pace, I'm not sure what it was, but I really struggled with the book (and even contemplated DNF'ing it) until it got to the point where Colton and Madison meet, but then it REALLY took off from there and I truly loved it! I loved Madison and her no nonsense manner and strength, yet really related to her vulnerability in regards to her past. And Colton was just a stallion of a sweetie pie. I love how intensely he felt for Madison right away and their struggle to navigate their attraction given his chosen profession was sweet and funny. I loved all of the secondary characters and can't wait to read Janie and Dave's story next. I do wish we'd been given more insight in to what the heck her douchey ex was up to (like why did he invite her to his wedding, what was the deal with the FB messages, what did he tell his bride about her, what were his intentions, etc.), as well as what was up with her other douchey ex (what the heck dude?), but the story totally stands without those details. I'm so glad that I hung in there and now I have a whole new (to me) series to look forward to reading! 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

I do wish we'd been given more insight in to what the heck her douchey ex was up to (like why did he invite her to his wedding, what was the deal with the FB messages, what did he tell his bride about her, what were his intentions, etc.), as well as what was up with her other douchey ex (what the heck dude?), but the story totally stands without those details. I'm so glad that I hung in there and now I have a whole new (to me) series to look forward to reading! 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

Thunderstruck.
This is one of those books/series I've been wanting to read for a while. I finally decided to take the plunge into the Big D World and I'm pleased I did.
Thunder ( Colton ) is quite a character he's charismatic, all kinds of hotttt and knows exactly what he's doing ;) he's the whole package.
I loved Madison she made me laugh with her sarcasm and quick wit. I adored her relationship with Janie her best friend. The way Madison always looks out for her was heart warming.
I found this story an enjoyable insta Love quirky rom com, the kinda series I can just sit back and enjoy for exactly what it is. A bit of fun.
I'm definitely gonna read the rest of the series because it has some fantastic characters. I loved Dave, he cracked me up. I'm especially excited to read Ethans book, he has me very intrigued.

Oh my lord... this book was great. Just what I needed. Sweet and swoon worthy with some full on belly laughs. I adored Colton and maddies relationship and their interactions were brilliant!
The development of their relationship was fast but it felt natural and sweet.

"Seriously?", I said to myself as books 3 and 4 came across my Amazon recommendations this morning. "What would possess them to give me a title like this to consider", but consider I did, because hey, it's a new year right? And it's all about the D, right? So I checked it out and I saw all these verified purchase reviews and the one word that stood out was "funny". And I like to laugh, especially where D is concerned.
However, being the careful one that I am, I didn't take book 3 or 4 at full price, I took this book 1 at the free price, because free is good, right?
And yes, it is funny. This was funny *and* smart. And better yet, it was smart-funny and as such, I am more than willing to suspend all kinds of disbelief and carry on with the D parade. Great secondary characters who will become primary characters as the series progresses.
Exceptional to start the year with a laugh, or a hundred...

Seeing Madison as a strong take charge woman professionally, but still battling insecurities personally was very relatable. Her best friend Janie helped push Madison out of here comfort zone. I loved how Colton embraced Madison quirky ways and made her fell comfortable being herself. There were some situations in the story that did not seem resolved for me, but not to the point where it frustrated me.

Wow! I gotta say Willow Summers outdid it again. Another great book. I am a huge fan of Willow Summers. Her books are well written anc highly entertaining. This one is no different.
In this book Madison gets dumped by her boyfriend three weeks before her ex-boyfriends wedding, in which she was invited to attend. She is pissed and upset, Now she is dateless and unable to show up and prove to the ex that him embarrassing her did not crush her and she is doing fine. Madison's best friend Janie talks her into hiring an escort to pretend to be her man.
Colton is tired. Tired of escorting these rich handsy clients. He is out. Done! Finto! That is till Dick, head of Big Dick Escort Services reads off a request for Sam. Sam is no longer employed and someone needs to take his spot. When Dick reads the reservation request, Colton is extremely intrigued. So he decides to take one more job.
When Madison opens the door to her date for the wedding, she is shocked. This is not Sam. He is a greek god! How will she ever convince everyone that they are a loving couple? This will never work. Colton on the other hand is floored. She is amazing. Wow! How will he keep to his rule and not touch her?
This story was wonderful. Can you say Pretty "Man" I mean Woman!? I loved how the story flowed and kept me turning the pages. I was so entranced by Colton. He is definitely the definition of a greek god with a heart of gold. Sexy as hell. Madison on the other hand has real bad self-esteem issues and has a hard time dealing with those. But she also has a heart of gold. The book not only focuses on the wedding story but has some other thriller surprises in store as well. You will shout out oh my god no! I know I did. You will even shed a few tears.
Overall the book is funny, sexy and emotional. It is a steady read with intriguing characters that can't help but pull you into their world. If you are looking for a book that will have you laughing one minute and hot and bothered the next, then this is the read for you. I highly recommend this book as well as other books by Willow. You will not be disappointed.

It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by Willow Summer, but when I saw the cover and the synopsis I couldn’t wait to read the book and it didn’t disappoint at all. Thunder is the first book in the Big D Escort series and it follows the story of two total opposites who end up going on an adventure that would ultimately change their lives forever. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Colton “Thunder,” whose live as an escort is starting to tired him out. He wants to start something new and start a family if he finds the right girl. But being on demand and having a long list of women ready to pay anything to be with him is making it harder for him to quit. It is when there is a request for an escort that doesn’t work for the company anymore that interests him and he decides to take one last client before leaving for good. Little did he know that meeting Madison would change the course of his life.
It all began with an invitation to a wedding that Madison wasn’t expecting to get invited to, and now that her boyfriend suddenly breaks up with her she has no one to go to the wedding with. Madison hasn’t always had the best luck when it comes to guys and she has been hurt in the past. Her best friend has been her rock and when she decides to hire an escort, her friend is supportive of her decision. It’s when she meets Colton for the first time that Madison knows that he is different and the more time they spend together the more she wants to be with him. But soon she starts to question her relationship with him and that could threaten their relationship going forward.
I enjoyed reading Thunder very much, it was funny and romantic. Colton was sweet towards Maddison from the very beginning and he supported her when she needed him the most. It’s evident from the start that both of the characters just want to move on with their lives, but by helping each other they are ultimately growing closer than ever before. I loved the secondary characters in the story as well, they gave the book the edge that it needed. From beginning to end, the author did a great job describing the setting and developing the characters. The ending will definitely leave you wanting for more. I highly recommend reading this book and any other by the author. :)

Fun and funny read!
I am not a contemporary romance kind of gal, comedic or otherwise. Because I read to leave reality behind for a while, I tend to stay firmly in the paranormal/fantasy end of the spectrum. However, I really like this author. (I also don't have the willpower to resist a series title like this!)
I am so glad I picked this up! What a fun ride. After a string of bad book choices I low-key feared this would be yet another story with an overbearing alpha-male, the girl who likes nothing about him at first but can't resist his sexual allure, and the inevitable danger to her that makes him face his feelings for her. (I am so sick of that tired, generic plot.) Luckily, this author is never that predictable or boring. To my delight, neither of the main characters were what I expected at all. Both are flawed and funny and sometimes ridiculous, but always interesting and worth the read. I found them to be very real despite the comedy factor of the book's premise. I love the juxtaposition of the female lead's business and personal attitude. She is a beast in business, but a mess in her personal life. (I am also glad there was some justification for her self-doubt, not just another bland, insecure girl made strong because a strong man thought she was hot.)
In this story, the guy is a model with a trail of panting women who would do anything for one night with him, yet he has his own insecurities, family issues, and other personal things to sort out. Sure, the girl has issues he helps with, but she helps him as well. and they are hilarious along the way. The side characters are equally vibrant (I f'ing LOVE Janie!), and I am really looking forward to reading more about their stories in coming books.

This is totally not my normal book genre - I like fantasy, but I like the author and have read her other books and she is great writer so I figured I would give this book a chance. I am glad I did, I loved this book! It is witty and humorous and the characters are real and stupid like normal people who like each other but don't know what to do about it. Madison is a normal girl who just got dumped by her boyfriend three weeks before a wedding she really wants to attend, with a date! It is her ex-boyfriends wedding and she still has issues with how he dumped her. A friend suggests she get an escort and after a lot of back and forth she decided she has no other choice.
He shows up - Thunder. He is not what she signed up for but he would do the job. He ends being a lot more than Madison expected and of course she is attracted to him!
Thunder was just about to get out of the business but decided on one last gig. Of course he finds out Madison is more than she seems and he is attracted to her.
Neither one of them is looking for someone else but sometimes things just happen I guess.

OMG, this was HILARIOUS. I think the premise of this agency is hysterical and this book did not disappoint.

She makes the BEST scene to get him to leave and honestly, I thought it was brilliant. So, desperate she calls up the Big D Escort Service to get a good looking guy so that she could show up at this wedding and show everyone she is no longer the nerdy girl that she was back in high school. What could possibly go wrong?
Colton is DONE with being an escort. He is known as Thunder, and honestly it is just getting old. He let's his boss know that he is quitting however an intriguing client request comes in and he decides that he is going to do one more job. What could happen?
Oh Lord, I laughed SO hard at this book. The banter was so good, and I swear that Maddie is my soulmate. This was a great take on the whole "pretty woman" story and like I said before it in NO WAY disappointing.
This is my first book by Willow Summers and this will NOT be my last. I thought the writing was great, the scenes were HOT and great. Pacing and Flow were excellent and the cast of characters were a riot. I can't wait to check out more from this series!

WARNING: DO NOT READ this book unless you have enough time to read the entire thing because trust me you will not want to put it down!!! I started it without realizing this fact. I started on my first break of the day at work and then I had to know what Madison would come up with next! I opened up my Fire Previewer and had it hidden as best as I could on my work computer! Seriously, I could not walk away from it! I am sure I say this every time Willow releases a new book but this is her best book to date!
As with most of Willow Summers lead female characters Madison is smart, witty, driven, hilarious and strong. She is a true friend but she has never met a man who really makes her feel passion, loved and truly wanted.

OMG once again Willow has written an outstanding story that is absolutely priceless. Where she comes up with these masterpieces is anyone's guess but I love them. I can not contain the laughter and the pleasure this book has given me.

OK, I have a little more time to myself right now, so I'll finish up giving this book a proper review.
I enjoyed it, I really did. It was a super quick read that satisfied what I needed. I hated the name, hated the whole "Big Dick Escort Service" name, though I did think it provided a hilarious story line, but overall? The book was good and I'll read the others that come out. I can't wait to see Janie get her story.
I loved the heroine. She was funny and relate-able, easy to follow and just...I don't know, so down to earth. I loved the H, loved that he was on the out at the company, loved that he was kind of a big dork, I just thought he was kind of awesome. I LOVED Dave and Ethan, loved the whole group of guys, I just enjoyed the whole book. I will say, I took a star off for the following...
SPOILERS AHEAD..
I didn't like not having an end to the James storyline. I really wanted to see how that ended, REALLY wanted to see Maddie get hers, REALLY wanted her to take down ALL of those snotty bitches at that wedding. I just really wanted more. I enjoyed it, I really did. It was a super quick read that satisfied what I needed. I hated the name, hated the whole "Big Dick Escort Service" name, though I did think it provided a hilarious story line, but overall? The book was good and I'll read the others that come out. I can't wait to see Janie get her story.
I loved the heroine. She was funny and relate-able, easy to follow and just...I don't know, so down to earth. I loved the H, loved that he was on the out at the company, loved that he was kind of a big dork, I just thought he was kind of awesome. I LOVED Dave and Ethan, loved the whole group of guys, I just enjoyed the whole book. I will say, I took a star off for the following...

I didn't like not having an end to the James storyline. I really wanted to see how that ended, REALLY wanted to see Maddie get hers, REALLY wanted her to take down ALL of those snotty bitches at that wedding. I just really wanted more. I have to laugh at the byline for this book! Book One of the Big D!ck Escort Service
Then when I started reading, I was laughing even more! This book was fantastically funny and romantical and steamy and just everything a good romantic comedy should be!
This is the story of Colton (Code name Thunder) and Madison. Loved the premise of this story, it's like everything you would want to happen at a family or class reunion (or wedding as the case is here).
Madison is brilliant! She is strong, she is funny and she owns her faults and makes no apologies for them! She is everything I would want to be if I ever grew up! The way she was able to show up and show off to all the haters was what every gal who was been looked down on would want to happen!
And now there is Colton, what a delight he was! As a hired date he was outstanding! As a insta-love, he was amazing! He was swoony, he was alpha and he was what every girl could dream about!
Well Willow Summers has a new fan, as I finish this up, I will be looking at reading more from her!

I’m In Love with another series from Willow Summers. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I love that this book is a little different than most of the Romance Comedies and has the guy working in a taboo field instead of the women. I couldn’t stop laughing at the funny banter between Madison and Janie. Then you add Colton and Dave into it and I had people staring at me because I was laughing so hard. I immediately connected with all the characters in this book and got lost in the world Willow credited. Willow knows how to write a good book that sucks you in and never lets you go. This book is no exception, it has hot guys and funny, independent, sexy women not to mention great scorching scenes.
I can’t wait until the next one comes out. I hope to learn more about Colton and Madison as their relationship grows and I’m dying to find out what is in store for Janie and Dave. Let’s not forget about Ethan and Noah, I hope they get their own story too.

This was my first read by Willow Summers. I have to say it wasn't exactly what I was expecting from the cover and name. I was expecting a steamy, sexy story and I wasn't disappointed. The surprise was how much the banter between Madison and Colton made me laugh out loud. I loved that Madison was a tell it like it is personality. Madison was dumped by her long term boyfriend 3 weeks before the wedding of another exboyfriend. She didn't care that Frank was breaking up she just didn't want to go to the wedding dateless. Her best friend Janie recommends Big Dick's Escort Service. Colton was tired of being an escort and was ready to quit. He takes one more job since there is no request for extra services. A lot happens in the book to help you get to know the main characters, Janie and several of the other escorts that work with Colton.
Willow entertained me and made me fall in love with all the characters. I recommend this book and I promptly got the next book in the series.
